We attended a wedding at the Centerville Estate in August 2026. What a beautiful setting! Beautiful stone buildings along Butte Creek. The ceremony was on a grassy area at the creek's edge. Just beautiful. Buffet dinner was served nearby also near the creek. They had good parking for a large group. Many staff members assisted in directing guests. The only negatives were the road leading to the venue is very windy and narrow and the grounds have lots of steps and is unlevel for walking. This can be difficult for older guests. read more

I wholeheartedly recommend Centerville Estates. My husband and I do the event bartending there multiple times a year. Needless to say we have been involved in MANY weddings there. The owner and management team are amazing! They are very on top of everything! If it's too hot they pull out the umbrellas before you know it. Centerville Estate is such a dreamy venue. I am so happy I was able to get married here! I loved every part of it. Full of beautiful sceneries whichever direction you look. Johnny and his team keep their venue immaculate and focus on all the little details. It is a family business and you can tell they really pour their heart into their work. Johnny and Chalee were wonderful to work with. They make themselves available to you with any questions that may keep you up at night or questions that randomly come up, you can always just text or call. The drive up is a bit difficult due to the windy roads but it just calls for extra safe driving or carpooling, or you can Uber or Lyft. Centerville Estate was the perfect venue for our wedding! This venue speaks for itself, the creek flowing directly next to the venue, the hard work that the owners put into the grounds to make everything absolutely perfect for the big day. Not only is the venue beautiful, John & Chalee work with you throughout the entire process to make sure everything runs smoothly. The day of the wedding, John was going all around the grounds to make sure to be present in case we needed help with anything. He also makes himself available to drive your guests from the parking lot to the top of the ceremony area. John and Chalee handle all of the work on the grounds themselves and truly make sure that anything they say, happens for you. It was such a pleasure to work with the both of them, they truly want your day to be perfect and they take the most pride in making sure their property does this. Our wedding day could not have been more perfect and we cannot have imagined our venue to be anywhere else besides Centerville. We are thrilled that we have this amazing experience to look back on. Got married here in April and had the most wonderful experience. The grounds are gorgeous and the location makes for stunning back ground for all the wedding day photos. The ceremony site is situated right along the creek, so it beautiful! But I recommend using a sound system to help ppl hear what's happening because the creek can be a tad loud. And the receptions area is great! Also along the creek, and on the opposite side, a beautiful Rock fountain that really sets the mood. Plenty of room for tables for guests and dj, and cake, and anything else you can dream up and OF COURSE dancing. They have a built in bar for your beverage service vendors. I saw in some other reviews they mention of the construction area, which is very noticeable when you drive in, but it was absolutely the furthest thing from my radar during the wedding itself. The ceremony and reception areas are far from all that. & you'd have to go out of your way to get a good look at it. It was definitely not a big deal at all. I absolutely recommend this venue. There's a lot of freedom with set up and vendor selection & the owners are flexible. You can be as simple or as fancy as you want. Definitely worth checking out! read more

If you like the outdoors, this is a great location. It's located WAY up this little windy road, but the drive is fun if you like to drive and have something sporty. The grounds themselves are beautiful. Well manicured, with interesting sculptures hiding here and there in the brush. The location is on the creek, and when we were there we saw salmon spawning right in front of us. Amazing. The lodge itself is impressive, too. Beautiful river stone construction, with big logs. It's what you expect a lodge to look like. Add in the soaring hawks, some curious deer, and you've got a regular menagerie. Great site. read more

We were married there in May 2012. The venue is amazing and gorgeous. It is a hidden gem along Butte Creek just a short drive from Chico. Recommended for a unique and peaceful wedding venue. You can bring in your own vendors which is a nice change compared to other venues. read more

My uncle lives up the way from this place. He recently caught them moving a trailer full of trash that was left on their property across the street instead of properly disposing of it. Of course the bears have gotten into it and have made an even bigger mess of it. Now the trash is ending up in the creek and the brush. Pretty despicable! read more

Although a beautiful venue, the management is terrible. We had booked the venue 16 months in advance of our date. Subsequently cancelled only 1 month later due to a family's immediate illness. They rebooked the date and kept our deposit. $1500. I even discussed the situation ahead of time and no refund. Yes yes yes I signed the contract but still after rebooking and the circumstance behind cancellation, they still kept the deposit. Bad practice! read more

We recently had our wedding here. Beautiful place. Just pissed that when we booked a year in advance we were told all the junk , tools, and materials that they were using to build another building was still all over the place. When you finally get there all you see is a junk yard. Cars that don't move and tons of crap on pallets full of junk. Once you get to the actual wedding area it's beautiful. Just wish they would have cleaned it up and not been off in the dark watching every move we made. My husband is an avid hunter so this is why we choose this place. everything at the wedding i attended on march 6th , 2017 was wonderful, the setting, food , champagne the entire wedding. but the parking was less then desirable. when we arrived , i was flagged by some kid to park down in a construction sight , then others were directed to park along designated spots along the road . i was the only vehichle directed to park on the actual construction site. when i got out of my vehichle , i asked if I would be "Trapped in. The kid pointed down along a dirt road between stacks of lumber on the sight saying I could exit that way without a problem..After the dinner, we had to leave , so i followed the dirt road through the wood stacks and scrapped my paint down one side of my truck, due to how narrow this road was. When i called the next morning, i was told too bad , they werent responsible . Kind of shady i think, So i have to pay for my repairs. The man i talked to was not very helpful and laughed at me on the phone. Their parking attendent assured me that i could get out , but i couldnt fit through the tight quarters. I think they should have assumed some liability for the damage on my vehichle, but like i say , i was laughed at by the owner on the phone and he hung up on me ...nice place, terrrible parking and very unfriendly owner ... read more
