Secondly, since this was going through my company calibercollision, in Sacramento, They were extremely accommodating and had amazing customer service. Also, since it's for a business I needed desperately an invoice so It could be expensed. I left him a voicemail thinking, hey maybe they'll call me in a day or two. Nope! I bought an orchid for a Christmas present. To be delivered Saturday, the day before Christmas. No other Florist in Chico was willing or able to deliver the day before Christmas. Well it was going to a long term care home. Orchid never got delivered the day it was suppose to be delivered. My family asked about the orchid at the long term care home, nobody knew anything. I called and left a message at the florist, but they were closed. Well the next day (Christmas day) the florist called the long term care home and they got the orchid found and it was delivered. I phoned my order to Christian and Johnson ( from Michigan) for a next day delivery of a Birthday bouquet. It was a pleasure talking with the person on the phone who helped me chose what to send. I said I wanted it to be interesting and not predictable. My niece sent a photo of my sister's flowers and I was just ever so pleased! Today I received a bouquet my 86 year old mother ordered . She paid 85.00 this came with a bunch of filler leaves , one opened dry lavender rose and in a glass jar which looks like the 99 cent store. Concerned I called the owner whom said she would make a different one and have it delivered . 5 minutes later she texted ( not called ) saying she would call my mother (offer refund ) and told me to keep this disgusting arrangement which looks like funeral flowers or get well poor customer service . I do not recommend Christian & Johnson florist ever, customer service does. It exist . The evening before I received a call that flowers were ready ( 3:45 and was I home . I was not . Sk I was told they would deliver in am . So this morning I received a call from Delivary guy - who states will you be home? I told them evening before. He went on to say I'm very busy ( he cared more about how busy he was and my goodness we wouldn't want to put him out. Just not very nice people . I received a text that she would send someone out to pick it up . I never read it and my doorbell rang upsetting my lhasas Apsos and it was her designer comming to take it back Christian & Johnson's , poor service and drama. My son stopped by asked if this was flowers sent from grandma , he says wow very skimpy . We see beautiful flowers online and what a misrepresentation of their flowers . So, after driving around looking for their new location, we finally arrive. We are looking to purchase a small flower arrangement and have it delivered to someone in Enloe. We tell them not too big, we don't want it to be overwhelming to someone in the hospital in tight quarters. We mention sunflowers. So, a small arrangement of sunflowers. Almost 100 dollars later, I ask if the florist would mind snapping a picture of the arrangement and texting it to me. She says, Um, no... we do not offer that service. Now mind you, I did not ask her to do a photo shoot with the recipient at Enloe. I asked for one picture. I basically was curious to see what100 dollar sunflowers looked like. Highly recommended by a staff member at Chico State. I called from out of town to order an arrangement for my daughter's art show on campus. Bethany was helpful and friendly taking my order. She even asked if I wanted my dollar limit to include shipping or flowers only. A small detail, but very thoughtful. On the day of the event, a staff member (I'm sorry I can't remember her name!) called to tell me the driver had trouble finding where to deliver the flowers, but she assured me they were there and if there was anything else she could help me do, to call back. Admittedly, I was kind of freaking out, but she was calm and that was reassuring. The arrangement was beautiful! It was colorful and fancy. And it was where it needed to be. I made the mistake of ordering Mother's Day flowers from 1800flowers.com. They sent me an email on the Friday afternoon before Mother's Day to tell me that they were too busy to ship my order in time for the holiday, but they could get them there the following Tuesday. Well, that kind of misses the point, now, doesn't it? Anyways, so since my mom lives in Chico, I went to Yelp to find a shop that might be able to take my order on the Friday evening before Mother's Day and get the flowers there on time. Hannah took my call and was extremely accommodating, given the (unintentional) short notice. I gave her a vague description of what I was looking for and she came up with a great flower package for my mom. I basically asked her to choose something that she would send to her mom. Ordinarily I would not put this kind of trust into a shop that I have never been to or dealt with before, but I got a good feeling from Hannah after speaking with her for a few minutes and telling her my sorry tale of woe after dealing with 1800 Flowers. I asked that the delivery person call my mom before attempting delivery, so that they don't waste their time going over when my mom was out shopping. When they attempted delivery, my mom wasn't home and also didn't answer her phone. They left a message for her to call back to arrange a delivery time. My mom called back and worked out a delivery time and then Hannah called me back to let me know what was happening and that they had arranged a delivery time with my mom. Whoa! I think I may have heard about this before. I think it's called customer service. Needless to say, I was ecstatic that they took care of my order exactly the way I wanted and was really pleased at how they kept me informed of the delivery status. This is exactly the sort of experience that you want when delivering flowers for a special occasion. Next year, I know who I'll be calling for my Mother's Day flower delivery! Thanks again, Hannah! My mom called me yesterday to say that she loved the flowers and they are perfect to plant in her garden (I ordered azaleas planted in a decorative pot.)
