Yesterday I posted a very critical post about my succulent dish garden I tried to erase it after…read morethe Red Hen people surprised me with a replacement but I don't think I could I will further try to. But I am kind of bed bound in a rehabilitation hospital. I have been this way since October 14 2025. The story is I have been a florist my self since the 80's. I also had 2 shops of my own. I was the first to be hired at Raley's here in Red Bluff..back then it was allowed to be run like a real flower shop, not like now where they do so much ready made, worked for them 17 years.Well I digress from main topic here. Anyway I grow succulents and design container and dish gardens. So I was tired of fresh flowers dying so I ordered myself a succulent arrangement. I was very disappointed and called the shop and complained. That was I thought end of story. Well later in afternoon when I was wheeled back from physical therapy I was surprised and delighted to see a very beautiful succulent garden that I love! The company had replaced my other arrangement, but left it too. I was so taken back and pleased also with a nice long note they were so gracious ! I called them and thanked them..good business people!! I will try to post picture of my new garden and the other but I have problems I am tech ch

If I could vote zero stars, I would. My wife ordered a beautiful advertised arrangement…read moreTeleflora's Morning Melody Deluxe for my mother. They were out of lavender roses so it was agreed to use red. The advertised photo shows a lot of garnish and other added colors to the set up. My mother received 9 very short stem roses with a very little bit of greenery (photos included to their Yelp page). Picture showed a bow with the arrangement, no bow received. My wife complained, Beth stated she did not know if the set up was for romance or what so she just changed it to what she thought the consumer would like. She did not clarify anything with us, and the photos clearly show we got about $5.00 in effort for a $62.00 price. I told her my mother did not complain about the set up, I was the one that was upset because I knew what they were supposed to look like. Beth called my mom crying and asking about the arrangement. Totally unprofessional, the issue was with me, the one who ordered them, she had no right to call the receiving party in a hysterical fit. I would never use them again. I gave Beth the option to make a beautiful arrangement that was similar to what we originally ordered to make up for her extreme shortfall on the original attempt, she was not willing to do so. Eventually, she refunded my money, but the damage was done.

It is a really adorable shop that is tastefully decorated! They have beautiful flowers and gifts. Of course I spotted some delectable chocolates as well! It is my understanding that the florist has been with this family run business for 30 years! I met the nice gentlemen and he was professional and happy to be doing what he loves! I think they may even have beekeeping supplies as well ( not sure on that). Really cute inside with a warm and inviting feel to it! Great experience! Ps. ORLAND is considered the Queen Bee Capital!

But there's something about being around plants that makes me happy. My mom has the most beautiful garden, so when she came to Chico to visit me, I thought she'd love the Plant Barn. It turns out, we both did! I appreciated the welcoming employees, but they also didn't hover. We were able to stroll the property, and admire all of the beautiful plants. It was really peaceful. Although I didn't buy anything, I spotted a few things in the gift shop that will likely bring me back. I've heard that they host classes - wreath making, flower arrangements, etc. - and I would definitely sign up for something like that!
