We ate here a few times pre-pandemic and really enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere (which was kind of bustling and loud, something that didn't always thrill me pre COVID-19, but that I would give a kidney to get back.) We have ordered curbside pickup twice since the lockdown. We got the family meal deals. This is a great great value. Between the 2 orders, we tried the boneless wings and mac and cheese appetizers, garden salad which was enormous and burgers and chicken sandwiches. First time trying this place tonight! Ordered off of a delivery service so I was prepared for some of a let down (e.g soggy fries, cooked a touch too far from being steamed in the container), but I gotta say I'm very impressed by the quality of food that I got. Ordered a build your own burger (basically did a run-of-the-mill cheese burger, boneless hot wings, and the regular poutine. The burger was cooked well, was nice and juicy, and was served on a tasty pretzel bun with fresh ingredients. I chose onion rings on the side and they arrived crispy and hot as if I'd just ordered them in the restaurant. Boneless wings were a little tough, but a nice portion. Poutine- Out. Of. This. World. Gravy was delicious, cheese curds were melted nicely, and they definitely didn't skimp on the portion. Overall, a little pricy at first glance, but DEFINITELY worth it. Was so excited when saw there was a new burger place in town, as we have far too many chain burger restaurants in the area. Results: Burger = meat was good but as others have said the bacon and cheese was skimped. Didn't even come with lettuce and tomato? Mac & cheese = I've cooked enough to know when something has been reheated. In this case it was exceedingly apparent - our Mac and cheese was sitting in a bath of oil. Was possibly good when fresh? Chicken = not sure you could over-cook it any more, and this statement is coming from someone who routinely asks me to overcook chicken. Fries = Soggy. Unfortunately another item that was likely good when fresh. Thinking these were also made awhile back and reheated. It's very possible the quarantine hurt the business/freshness and if so that sucks, but nobody wants to spend $60 on a burger meal then leave wishing you had gone to Wendy's instead. This was our first time here as we had been driving past it for months and finally had time to stop. They have a cute outdoor dining section set up under a big tent with live outdoor music and entertainment. Our server, Jessica, was awesome and continued to be awesome even after the restaurant lost their power! Of course, it was not their fault and we were thankful that our food had finished cooking when the power went out. All the food we had was great although I would've been interested in trying one of their delicious-looking milkshakes so I'm looking forward to going back and getting to try more! read more

My quest for a juicy burger has finally been accomplished! Finally after much seeking and tasting I've found it! Prime burger bar I love you and your juicy burgers! They have an extensive menu of your bar favs, burgers, Mac & cheese, sammies and deserts, more on that later. Wine, beer and cocktails. The staff was very friendly and even though there were TVs and music you could converse and hear. I had a dogfish head 60 min IPA and opted for their proprietary blend on a challah bun with American cheese & pickles, that's all I need plus a little ketchup. First bite in and I was overjoyed! It was juicy, and flavorful everything I was looking for! With a side of house cut fries...aaah I was happy. Now they have these huge shakes and a brownie sundae, well I was with my sister and she says no meal is complete without desert, so bring on the brownie sundae! Yum o yum o yum! Service (Matt) was responsive, eager, and attentive. My little one had special requests. They were met. The big one had detailed questions about one of the shakes. They were answered. 15 carefully curated burgers, lots of choices of meat (proprietary, added bacon, Kobe, beyond meat). A make your own burger option, but I will never get there. 3 kinds of fries. Nice addition to the neighborhood. My husband wanted to watch the football game on Sunday so we sat at the bar. All appetizers are $6.00 during happy hour on Sunday. We had the Fried White Cheddar Cheese curds and the Giant Bavarian pretzel for appetizers. Both were excellent. And the pretzel is giant! My husband had the Fire island burger, which is a little spicy. He loved it. I had the Ahi tuna burger. Which was outstanding. Did a take out order last night. Everyone was very nice there. So I know the burgers cook a little in the to go box but they were bit overdone. My wife wanted her cheese burger on a lettuce bun but instead she got a overdone dry burger which they forgot the cheese and then gave her lettuce tomato and onion but never did the actual lettuce bun. My onion rings were also excellent as were the loaded fries that we tried. The waitress was super solicitous. She ensured that we knew what the restaurant's was all about & gave us a rundown of the menu. She checked on us several times. Of course, you get what you pay for. So - don't expect a great burger at a cheap price. However, this place hits the sweet spot in Commack. You get great quality food at reasonable prices when you compare what it would to eat at competitors. I highly recommend Prime Burger & it will be part of my regular rotation now. read more

Saturday was my first time at this establishment. After seeing the News12 segment I just had to give this a try and boy did it not disappoint! We arrived at about 6pm and the place was already hopping. My friend and I decided to sit at the bar as there was a 30 min wait for a seat. So glad we made the choice to sit at the bar! Scott, our bartender was hands down the most entertaining and attentive bartender we've ever met. We were immediately greeted by Scott and took our orders promptly. He kept us laughing while we waited for our food. THE FOOD! the lobster Mac and cheese was to die for. LARGE CHUNKS of lobster!! Did I mention the lobster?? Wow! We also had the Great South Bay burger cooked medium rare. If you are not familiar with this burger, braised short ribs top off this perfectly cooked burger. AMAZING! I had originally given a low 1 star rating because the service didn't exist at the time I visited. However, I recently had dinner and drinks there and it may have been the best burger of my life (I got the Kobe burger with sweat potato fries). I don't usually over eat but I ate my entire meal and the service was very intuitive. I have ordered kobe beef burger medium rare with lettuce and tomato and crispy onions on a side. The price for the burger about $ 25. It was a take out. I got overcooked, dry, not even close to Kobe beef burger without lettuce and tomato with a ring of raw blue onion on a side. After one bite it went in a garbage, on a top of loosing 25 bucks, I have stomach ache today as the result of that one bite. If you ordering a take out, do yourself a favor, and open the box and see what they packed. Very disappointed. Wanted to help a local business but no more. There is no excuse for food poisoning people. The bar was empty on Sunday night. If you cannot get an order to strait , you should not be in the business. Went last night. Was a little busy than I'd like given covid but they did have tables nicely spaced out and barriers which I appreciated. Our server was great. Super helpful and nice. Food we had was bomb. Our meal consisted of fried calamari, giant pretzel(they not kidding when they say giant, it feeds 4) burgers, yummy truffle fries, and the grilled chicken flatbread.
