Service - perfect Food - you can tell they make everything from the freshest ingredients Ambience - very hip and homey at the same time Tip: When you walk in you'll see the market and butcher section. The restaurant is towards the back.

A very nice fairly new place in Paso by Tin City. Very nice environment with some Stupendous miniature homemade pies if you can get them. The banana cream is the best so far. They were out of them last night

Randie was an amazing host, the girl with all the tattoos She knows her wines and had some amazing recommendations we bought a bottle to take home too. Our dinner was so so good ! My husband had prime rib and I had a beef tip pasta. Our dinners were amazing and what made it extra special was the music!! We will definitely be back. The butcher shop had some amazing food. We got the bacon honey and !! Please support local and amazing venues!!!!

I don't normally give 5 stars however, this place deserves more than 4 stars. My husband and I stopped here from L.A., glad we did. I was craving for juicy burger and this place did not disappoint us. The staff are friendly and our waiter (Clayton) was very friendly. The steak bite was cooked to perfection as well as the burger. Bacon was did not have a fake taste it's really bacon!. Service was fast. We also bought sausage to take home. Definitely coming back, from Santa Cruz.

Stew- hearty and delicious

Service, atmosphere, food - all 10/10 Live music added energy to the space. Shopping for artisan food items, fresh in house cut meats, local farm items.

Tri tip dip sandwich- super super yummy and much to feed two of us!

We recently started to get our meat here- it is amazing! All of the meat so far has been exceptional! Today (Christmas Eve) we ordered a tri tip dip sandwich- wow was it totally delicious!!! Hubby and I split it. Yet another surprise was I saw Rosie working there!!! She is such a wonderful human being! This is my new most favorite place EVER and the prices are very moderate Not expensive at all! The staff is always polite! I am a fan!

This place is like no other around. The restaurant served great food. We got the Primal burger and a wedge salad and the food was great. The service was very good. This is a family operated business and you can get a feel for the price behind the business. In addition, there's a butcher shop with local beef. There are amazing steaks I'm now tempted to purchase when I'm hungry again. They've got tomahawk steaks and huge sausages. They look amazing.

They haven't officially opened yet but you can come in and get food, beer, homemade sodas, fresh produce, locally sourced meats, and a variety of locally sourced goods. Every staff member is welcoming and very friendly. If you have any questions, just ask. When you come in, it's open and parts remind you of an alley of a time back when. The ambiance is very welcoming and lively. We truly enjoyed the burger and classic Philly. Both good and came with chips. We ordered the fries as well which came with a yummy aioli. Everything was tasty. They did take the plates fast after finishing but all good. While you are at it, pick up some meat to take home with you.

Primal House is a bold and multifaceted business with a butcher, fresh and frozen meats, dining room, brewery, and some produce in a well designed building, giving each business its own space. The menu includes upscale burgers, cheesesteak sandwiches, and salads. It would be great if they had smaller plates for those less ravenous. A big plus is their support for local musicians with live music almost nightly! Highly recommended that you stop in to support this local business.

My son and I stopped in for dinner tonight and loved it! Our server Ciara was amazing, her recommendations were spot on, and the rest of the servers were so nice too (I think we talked to Troy?). There was live music which was fabulous. The house made root beer was so flavorful and complex, and my basil mocktail was herbal and fresh. We both ordered the burger which was truly mind blowing. The patty was huge and perfectly cooked medium. It was almost TOO juicy, but the bun perfectly kept the structure without being heavy. The local heirloom tomatoes and the peppered bacon added even more flavor. Legitimately some of the best burgers we've ever had! The fries were also perfectly cooked and flavored. We'll be back soon!

The food is top notch and the atmosphere was great. The beer is not great but does the job. One of my new favorite spots in Paso.

Ordered the Primal Burger, which in my humble opinion is second to none and probably one of the best I've had thus far!

The Public Market hosts a diverse selection of eateries and merchants. Some of the restaurants have limited days/hours, so it is advisable to check before venturing to a specific eatery. The entrances are not well marked and it can be a labyrinth to navigate to the parking areas. Many times, there are not enough spaces for the current usage nor anticipated growth. Thus, parking can sometimes be a challenge. Near one parking area is the largest number of Tesla Superchargers in San Luis Obispo. There is a main dining hall to enjoy the many options available, as well as an outdoor patio with picnic tables to savor SLO's beautiful weather. The staff could be more attentive to cleaning the dining table after guests depart. The restrooms are usually very clean and attended to. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

We explored the area and came across this place and decided to check it out. We are so happy we found this place because there were so many different food places to try. We all wanted to try different foods so we got pizza, fries, and a burrito. Everything was so good and full of flavor. The staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations. The prices were reasonable for the value. I can see this being a fun place to hang at during the summer and getting a cold beer.

Vacation Spot - Sort Of - Inside SLO…read more.... My wife and I visited SLO Ranch when it first opened in 2023 and found an interesting mix of shops, but not many customers. We returned during the week between Christmas and New Year's 2025 to discover the buildings and tenants were changed, but the overall impression was very good. Pros: - The mini farm: There are several corrals each with shelters, food troughs and water sources. Everything is well maintained. Two have a total of about 10 goats and one has 2 alpacas and 2 donkeys. It's not quite a petting zoo because you can't go into the corrals, but they can be fed through the fencing with food bought in a shop. They all seemed quite content. - The shops: SLO Ranch is not big, but it does have a nice selection of stores and restaurants. Everything was bright and fresh with friendly employees. - Specialty Food Shops: We walked into cheese and chocolate shops which were very appealing, great looking and reasonably priced. - Ambiance: Welcoming. There are lots of places to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. Cons: - Restaurants: The quality might be good, but the variety is small. We saw a brewery, pizza place, Persian food, bakery (open only Friday-Sunday) and shops with biscuits and ice cream. The best looking place might be Lucy's Coffee which has a fairly big menu and lots of customers. - Parking: Okay on slow days, but the overflow must use a dirt lot. We didn't see a ton of people, but cars were already filling the lot. For us, the biggest draws were the animals, inviting shops and nice atmosphere.
