Had to drive out of Paso so the flight was just perfect refreshment to share with wife. Had doubts about the green one, maybe that's Lucky Lager? But it was surprisingly good and was my favorite one! Kid had fun climbing on to the stage and running around during the short stop.

I have been here in the past approximately 3-4 times and each time is very good. The place has a lot of seating-this time I sat in the outdoor courtyard area. The service was very good (quick) and the waitress was very attentive. Burgers, wings, salad with added grilled chicken, pot pie-you cannot go wrong. The food was really good. And of course the brews were very good too. You have to realize, I was in the land "of God's nectar"-WINE! For me to attack anything that doesn't have a cork in it, is, well, usually is non-existent. When I go to Paso, I am usually there 3-4 days and no grape is safe. The 805 Blonde was great. Partnered well with the food that was ordered. There were several other IPA style beers at the table that were very good. Firestone Walker is there for a reason, a successful reason. Stop by on the way north or south-you will not be very glad you did.

I also appreciate the great staff! Solid knowledge of the distillery process and their products. On the weekends parking can be challenging but across from tin city you can find an overflow parking lot.

We come to Paso Robles pretty regularly to pick up our wine club deliveries -- yes, we're those people -- and this spring trip we finally decided to give Primal House a shot. Made a reservation for seven, brought our own bottle of J Duci (obviously), and settled into the fine dining area, which was noticeably quieter and more relaxed than the bar scene. Great call. Now, we came in as wine people. But the beer? Genuinely blew us away. We did a flight just to be thorough, and my dad -- a man who loves his wine -- abandoned ship entirely and went straight for the black cherry dunkelweizen. How do I describe it? Imagine someone took a Dr Pepper, gave it a glow-up, and turned it into an actual craft beer. Bizarre. Wonderful. 10/10 would confuse my taste buds again. On the food: the artichoke dip had a nice little kick to it that snuck up on you in the best way. The pretzels and cheese sauce? We need to have a serious conversation about the pretzel-to-cheese-sauce ratio, because we ran out of pretzels long before we ran out of sauce. That's not a complaint -- that's a cry for help. Send more pretzels. Three of us went for the prime rib special and my husband got the ribeye with mushrooms. The salad that came with the prime rib was fresh and crisp, and the blue cheese dressing was legit. The prime rib itself was juicy, well-seasoned, and not overly fatty. Fair warning though -- it seemed like they roast it and then finish it on the grill, so getting a true medium-rare is probably off the table. Ours came out closer to medium, but it had this great steak-like texture that honestly worked. Would I order it again? Absolutely yes. The mashed potatoes that came with everything were also quietly excellent -- the kind of side dish you keep going back to without realizing it. I can't say enough good things about Primal House. From the moment you walk in, the warm, rustic ambience sets the tone--it's a perfect mix of modern and cozy. The service was top-tier: friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. Now let's talk food. The burger was phenomenal--juicy, perfectly cooked, and full of bold flavor. The Philly cheesesteak was another standout, packed with tender, flavorful meat and melty cheese on a fresh, soft roll. We also tried the cauliflower mac & cheese, which somehow managed to be both rich and comforting without being heavy. It's a must-try, even if you're not vegetarian.
