I will start by saying the maids are normally great and do a great job. Unfortunately, the business owner is not. The maids were almost 4 hours late because he overbooked them and didn't communicate. That means my whole day got placed on hold and I only have one day off a week. When I told him this was unprofessional, inconvenient, and poorly communicated, he then turned it around on me and said I have been late in my payments (during hurricane Harvey?!?). Otherwise all payments have been within 24 hrs. And quite frankly, that argument is unrelated- as a business owner if your people are late, call as soon as you know they're going to be late and apologize. Reading the reviews I have to wonder why all the bad ones for this company are "Not recommended" and therefore not a part of their star rating system. For that reason I give 1 star even though they probably earned 2 1/2 VERY disappointing service. Sent 3 women which should have been a good thing as we have one of the 3 story Neartown houses. But several things were not dusted, work table in office, one bedside table (of 2), 3 window sills, one side of entertainment center, etc. I caught 2 things and they flipped a rag back over them but cannot catch all of this while they were rushing to leave. I did see they cleaned the master shower only as far as the shortest of the ladies could reach, leaving a foot of obviously dirty shower glass on both sides that have glass, I told the women in charge, only one who spoke English, and she told one of the girls in Spanish. The young lady dashed off while I was paying (Cash only is a red flag Israel) and then came back down so fast and zoomed out the door, that I knew there was no way. When I asked her how that could have been done so quickly she replied, she is really good! And was outside and away herself. The shower had not been touched, nor the spotty faucets in the bathroom, but the previous spotty large faucet in the kitchen was now sparkling! Obvious shower somehow translated to kitchen faucet. the rest of the house was ok but aside from the kitchen faucet nothing was really well cleaned. I've already written a review for Pride Housekeeping and I've continued to use their service ever since, but I recently moved and I needed a good cleaning of my old apartment before I turned in the keys. The fantastic job Pride did seemed to warrant an update. Israel (the owner) couldn't have been more helpful and he was very flexible and worked aound my schedule. The crew was fast, thorough, and the place was spotless by the time they left. The price was more than reasonable and they arrived exactly at the agreed time. I really can't recommend Pride Housekeeping highly enough. If you detest having to clean house as much as I do (you can't possibly hate it as much as I do), definitely call these folks. Israel and his team are absolutely fantastic! Irene came with two other people the first visit, and my house was sparkling by the end! We (Irene and I) walked through the house to make sure we were both on the same page as far as what they clean, how they clean, and my expectations. A team of 3 comes once every other week and Irene is always part of this group, or at least someone who is familiar with my house. I've been able to reschedule (via text - so convenient!) when needed, which is a huge help for us. We have all hardwood floors, and they are immaculate after each visit. I also have a large, all-glass shower that is a huge pain to get clean (for me, anyway!), and each time they've made it look brand new. They are friendly, professional, and efficient, and I've never found something not up to my standards (and I like a super clean house!). I highly recommend Pride Housekeeping I pay $120 for a 3/2.5 house every other week (the first cleaning was $145 and needs to be paid in cash but I've paid with a check for every other visit). They do an okay job but are very overpriced. I will say that they are honest and trustworthy with your property which is extremely important to me when choosing a cleaning service. I was very happy with my move-out cleaning in my old apartment, but was not happy with the regularly scheduled service at my new place. They charged me $80 to clean a one bedroom apartment and when I questioned Israel about the price due to the fact that my place is only 650 sq. ft., one occupant and zero pets, he refused to budge on price. Everyone I know was telling me that they were charging me way too much. Also, they cut some corners with cleaning the bathroom because there was still hair stuck to my shower walls. I have used Pride Housekeeping for almost a year now. They are always able to fit me in whether I text them the week before or the day before (yes, i said text). The cleaners do an amazing job getting all the spots that I miss. My only complaint is that my price has gone up slightly, but this is only because I only have them come either once a month or once every other month. My house doesn't get dirty enough for more frequent cleans. I'm obviously willing to pay the price since I haven't left yet! It looks like I had a different experience from everyone else on here. After reading all of these wonderful reviews I was really excited to try this cleaning service and hoped to keep regular and frequent service. My husband and I live in a two bedroom, 1 bathroom bungalow in the Heights. It is 1100 feet and we have three cats and a big dog. Needless to say dust and fur is something we are always trying to combat, hence the desire for long term frequent cleaning service. Anyhow, I made an appointment with Israel yesterday and two women showed up today to clean my house. The didn't say much, they just went to work. I hung around for a few minutes to see if they had questions and they didn't so I left to run some errands. When I got back they were still working on some of the rooms. I went to the bedroom which appeared to be complete. I noticed that the lamp still had a significant amount of dust of the shade. This compelled me to look closer. Then I noticed that there was a lot of dust on the top of the ceiling fan. It made me wonder if they were done cleaning that room and so I asked and they confirmed that they were done. In the hall I saw that the baseboards and doors still had dust and dirt on them. I called Israel to clarify before I addressed the two women. (I didn't want to come off as demanding if I had misunderstood the agreement.) He didn't answer, I left a message that was polite and hopefully cooperative sounding. I think he must have called them first because one of the women started talking loudly on her and seemed angry, she stepped out of the house to finish her conversation. One woman said, "We are done, do you want to take a look around?" I brought up my concerns and they quickly touched up the lamp and the fan. I paid them $120 and thanked them even though I was disappointed in the results. I just don't feel comfortable following someone around and criticizing their work. I feel like people should be conscientious about their own work. At this point Israel called back. He was very abrupt and said, "Ok, you want to just tell me what is going on?" I proceeded to give a couple examples of some of the things I was less than impressed by he said to bring it up with the crew. I told him I had brought up two examples that were addressed and then they left. I did misunderstand that the women don't do ANY laundry. I thought I had read somewhere that two loads were included- they are not. I was surprised that Israel seemed really defensive and argumentative as opposed to cooperative and customer service oriented. He just kept repeating that they don't do laundry. I said that was fine several times and admitted that it was my own misunderstanding. That was all he wanted to talk about. I asked if the doors and baseboards were to be done and he said yes and that I need to tell them to do it. I let him know that they had already left. That was pretty much the end of our conversation. I walked around the house after and unfortunately, my disappointment grew. There were three cups and a plate in the sink that remained. I guess they don't do any dishes either. It was a small thing, but it seemed weird to me. They dusted around objects instead of picking them up. If they moved a chair or lamp to the side they left it there all askew instead of putting it back.. There are dirty tennis shoe marks all over the kitchen floor that they mopped but then went back in with dirty shoes. Hmm... My kitchen counter was still dirty! My upholstered chairs and sofa was still covered in fur and the pillows weren't fluffed. Not a nice finishing touch to be found. The wood was covered in oily smear- for lack of a better descriptor. I have just spent the last few hours re-cleaning my house! Random peeve- every five minutes one of their phones would ring and they would take a long conversation. Over and over. The pros- the bathtub had a nice scrub and they are very flexible and accommodating when it comes to scheduling. I would summarize by saying that Pride Cleaning seems like the type of cleaning service you would get from a large apartment complex service. I'll bet they do a lot of move out jobs. It is a very superficial job with little attention to detail. Maybe they were all having a bad day, but first impressions are everything. not a good fit for me. He and his staff work to fit your schedule and are very competitively priced. We live in a larger historic home and he quoted a price that beat our previous cleaner by $40 and did a better job! The bathrooms were spic and span, everything dusted, the kitchen cleaned, the floors were spotless. All in a reasonable time period as well. I have had to reschedule once and Isaac took the re-booking in stride. Also, and this is most important, the team is very trustworthy and honorable. They have been to my house several times and I've never once worried about my belongings being damaged or stolen... My family moved to a new apartment that had filthy floors. I called at 2.00 pm and Isreal had a team at our apartment by 4.15, the same day (and extra points for them because it was a Friday). I explained I wanted extra attention paid to the floors. To ensure the floors were super clean, the lady tested all the floors with a wet white cloth, and made sure it was still white afterwards. We have been using Pride Housekeeping every 2 weeks for 2 years now. I look forward to Wednesday evenings when I walk into a fresh-smelling, tidy and clean apartment. It's no small task either--3 kids (one a toddler) and 2 adults in a small apartment can get quite messy! Israel, the owner, is very easy to get in touch with (via text) to reschedule appointments is necessary. I always trust the ladies with our things. In fact, we are rarely home when the cleaning ladies come and go. Highly recommend! Unfortunately we are now moving out of state so will have to seek a new cleaning crew. Well, at least they showed up on the day they said they would. They showed over 4 hours late ( I was appraised TWICE that they would be delayed by an hour). 4 women and 2 hours in an uncarpeted empty apartment (140$) and I still had to go through and clean after them and I am not OCD by any means. Service was to include tops of fans, full stove, and fridge - not done. Tops of moldings, bird seed in window sill from former tenant not cleared. Trash left on kitchen floor. How to clean wooden blinds? Beat them with a rag in the middle section. Mid cleaning, when I pointed out some areas on sink and kitchen floor I was instructed that I could get those myself out by scrubbing with Ajax. They did offer for me to go and inspect but by that time I was happy to see them leave. Weirdly, one of the women asked how much I was charged for the job. The company offers 20% on the next service.
