Update: from 5 to 3 stars. Organization and time management in regards to appointments appear to be…read morelacking greatly over the last 3 months or so. I experienced several occasions where a scheduled appointment would be changed at the eleventh hour. In January, I was notified around midnight that my cleaning for the next morning would not occur. In February, I was notified once again but my scheduled appointment was honored and he actually mentioned that he thought he was fired. Something I didn't give much thought to until March when I received a message that the appointment booked about 2 weeks in advanced would need to be changed due to a scheduling conflict. The notification of course came around 10pm. Less than 12 hours before the expected appointments time. I asked why and the response was that he did not see the calendar until now. I thought about this and realized there is a lack of accountability here and a growing trend of unprofessionalism I no longer wished to condone. I hope they are able to recover from whatever is the cause of this and wish them the best of luck.

I was informed that the Basic Cleaning was what I needed and quoted $115, which seemed kind of steep considering the fact that my house was clean already and just needed some detailing, but figured if it got the house squeaky clean before baby gets here then it's worth it. The house was not squeaky cleaned. Evidently their version of a "Basic Clean" is the same thing that my mom and I do on a daily/weekly basis. (Dust, sweep, mop, toilet, tub.) Whenever I asked why the baseboards weren't done I was informed it's $25 extra and that I didn't mention them when I called (actually I did mention them, not being able to reach the baseboards is the whole reason I called - but I shouldn't be surprised since I did have to repeat myself several times while on the phone with her due to a slight language barrier). Evidently cleaning the outside front of a bathtub is extra too. Along with door frames and that hard to reach area behind the toilet... So much for a detailed bathroom. Very much a waste of $115, especially since we have a baby due any day now and having the house detailed was something I set aside much needed money for so that we could come home to an extra clean home. Now I'll spend the rest of the day attempting to reach the spots they didn't clean. The staff who cleaned were very nice, one even went around with a rag and did a halfway job of wiping down the baseboards for me even though the owner/supervisor was rude over the phone and told me it would cost extra. However if they took a little more pride in their work, and included basic things that any home cleaning service I've ever used before automatically includes in their version of CLEAN, they would have had another satisfied customer.

I do not recommend Serene Lux Cleaning Services…read more I hired this company for a deep clean prior to moving into my home, and the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The owner provided a quote without ever viewing the property, which should have been a red flag. Two cleaners were sent out, and after approximately 8 hours, they left having completed only about half of the home. The areas they claimed to have cleaned were not done thoroughly or professionally. Despite this, I was told I still needed to pay the remaining balance because the workers "showed up and worked," even though the job was incomplete and poorly done. What was most concerning was the lack of communication and accountability: The team became "overwhelmed," yet I was never informed while they were on-site, even though I was present the entire time The owner later admitted she received updates and photos from her supervisor but still did not notify me Instead of correcting the issue, I was offered the option to pay additional hourly fees ($50-$90/hour) for someone else to finish the job that should have been completed initially I expressed my dissatisfaction and even provided photo evidence of the incomplete and poorly cleaned areas. Despite this, I felt pressured to pay the remaining balance to avoid potential conflict after just closing on my home. This experience was unprofessional, poorly managed, and not worth the cost. A deep cleaning service should be thorough, organized, and communicative--this was none of those. I would strongly advise others to choose a company that conducts an in-person walkthrough, provides accurate estimates, and stands behind their work.

I will start by saying the maids are normally great and do a great job. Unfortunately, the business…read moreowner is not. The maids were almost 4 hours late because he overbooked them and didn't communicate. That means my whole day got placed on hold and I only have one day off a week. When I told him this was unprofessional, inconvenient, and poorly communicated, he then turned it around on me and said I have been late in my payments (during hurricane Harvey?!?). Otherwise all payments have been within 24 hrs. And quite frankly, that argument is unrelated- as a business owner if your people are late, call as soon as you know they're going to be late and apologize. Apparently those expectations are too high...

Reading the reviews I have to wonder why all the bad ones for this company are "Not recommended"…read moreand therefore not a part of their star rating system. For that reason I give 1 star even though they probably earned 2 1/2 VERY disappointing service. Sent 3 women which should have been a good thing as we have one of the 3 story Neartown houses. But several things were not dusted, work table in office, one bedside table (of 2), 3 window sills, one side of entertainment center, etc. I caught 2 things and they flipped a rag back over them but cannot catch all of this while they were rushing to leave. I did see they cleaned the master shower only as far as the shortest of the ladies could reach, leaving a foot of obviously dirty shower glass on both sides that have glass, I told the women in charge, only one who spoke English, and she told one of the girls in Spanish. The young lady dashed off while I was paying (Cash only is a red flag Israel) and then came back down so fast and zoomed out the door, that I knew there was no way. When I asked her how that could have been done so quickly she replied, she is really good! And was outside and away herself. The shower had not been touched, nor the spotty faucets in the bathroom, but the previous spotty large faucet in the kitchen was now sparkling! Obvious shower somehow translated to kitchen faucet. the rest of the house was ok but aside from the kitchen faucet nothing was really well cleaned. And I never have found my reading glasses in the nice zip up case that were on my desk that morning.....
