I just got hung upon by the owner Jefferey because He realizes that I will not use his company anymore. He just said "payment" as he rudely hung up as if he doesn't want to hear my feedback. I can only conclude that he doesn't care about the quality his business provides. When I reservedly told him dusting and vacuuming were not done well, his response was 'the ladies reported that you stepped on mopped floor'.... What does that have to do with their poor performance? And the 'mopped floor' they were referring to was our foyer area that they mopped as they were leaving so of course I have to step on it to close the door after them. I tried to be considerate with small and big issues; even when he put me in a bad situation two months ago by failing to keep the schedule and not showing up. It's upsetting to end with such disappointment. If anyone close to me asks, I don't recommend this company. Their fee is not worth their performance nor customer service by the owner. read more

Service requested and was trying to schedule a time with his team and I asked a few questions on timing and logistics and he quickly said he can't help with no explanation. While we didn't engage more than an initial consultation, I find the exchange rude and unprofessional. My exact questions: - are you available after this time? - how about this day and this time? - do I need to be present? - what are your normal working hours? He dismissed me by saying I think it's best you find someone else we cannot service you with no explanation. Gosh I didn't know asking questions they did not provide was in any way going to result in a rude dismissal. What a waste of time. Maid in House has been cleaning my house for several years. The ladies are thorough and friendly, and they work hard. They also have a great attitude, and I never worry about them coming to the house if I'm at work and my elderly mom and dogs are at home. Jeffrey (the owner) was quick to respond to set up service. I requested a deep clean for our 5/2.5 home, and the 2 ladies did a great job! I had the house picked up, and they covered everything on their checklist as shown on the website. I was quoted an hourly rate online, Jeffrey thought it would take 4 hours. He was spot on, and less than the quotes I received from competitors. I will call them again before our next crowd of out of town guests come to Houston. read more

They arrive at least 20 minutes late and then sit in driveway for another 30 minutes every single time (before and after). I'm not exaggerating. They don't really clean very well either and have torn zipper on two silk pillowcases so far. Floors are always sticky after they mop. I prefer Midas but they stopped serving my area. read more

It's a little more expensive than paying for 1, but I like having my house done quickly! They are thorough and if I need something done, they are receptive. I needed a professional deep cleaning service for my house! They had my toilet that had a brown stain around sparking white & my bathroom was silver plated was pretty! They had my kitchen stove eyes that had grit from cooking clean and the drip trays looking brand new!! They have a specific cleaner that also cleaned a 10 qt pot that was stained with tea shining like when I bought it! I'm moving into a new apartment so I found this company on Yelp to clean it up before my official move. I read good reviews and never thought I'd have an issue until my experience that I recently had. (I now realize most of the good reviews are somewhat old) I came back to my apartment and noticed dust in multiple places, simple things such as the counters weren't even wiped down, and to be honest I could've done a better job myself. It was such a joke! When I reached out to Jeff and voiced my concerns he didn't respond to them until I called him. He became angry with me on the phone and said I was being nitpicky. During the consultation I specifically asked him if the closet shelves would be cleaned and he said they would be, and they were not even touched. They did not even vacuum in the small closet in the front of my apartment or clean the bathroom counter or faucet at all either. All the window sills were left dusty as well. There was an issue that my apartment had been recently painted and apparently this made the cleaners rush while they were cleaning my apartment. If they had noticed the paint smell as soon as they got there they should have told me and not started the job at all. It seems like the only thing that was done was that the floor was vacuumed and the toilet was cleaned albeit very badly. Upon discovering this I sent the owner multiple photos and asked if there was anyway that this could be resolved? Maybe the cleaners ran out of time and had to come back? But no his only solution was him getting mad at me on the phone and he insisted that the cleaners did a good job for me given the circumstances. When I asked him how he wanted to handle this he said in no way because "we are done" not even any effort to correct this terrible job and he hung up on me. I will now spend my time cleaning my own apartment and being $100 out! He was kind at first and I was nothing but professional and honest and he took it out on me aggressively. After voicing my concerns he hung up on me and avoided all of my issues only asking for money. Word of advice - find any cleaning service but this one. They do not care about the client, do not even attempt to do a good job at cleaning, and only are concerned about getting their money. I will be telling my friends about them so they can avoid this company. Would rate 0 stars if possible. And to the owner it's one thing to want to collect your money but getting angry at someone is never appropriate. I truly hope you don't treat your employees the way you treated me. read more

I've used Maid In House on a regular basis for over 5 years and am very pleased. The nature of this business is that the crews may change sometimes, but every effort is made to keep the same crew on our house. And there's always at least one who is familiar with our house and can explain to the others who may be new. For example in addition to the usual inside cleaning, our outside porches & furniture are cleaned, windows cleaned, specific cleaner used for the piano etc. The girls try to please and ask if all is OK at the end of the cleaning. They work efficiently, do a very good job and are pleasant. And the cost is fair and reasonable for this type of service. We shopped around cleaning services for a while and Maid In House really stood out from the competition. While we were getting quotes, Maggie came to our house and met with us, walked through the house, took notes, and explained her company. She is very professional and extremely personable. We really liked her approach and the fact she uses the same team for each cleaning. This was important to us as you're basically letting strangers in your house. They've been very good about cleaning wood and counters with the correct products. Other companies we spoke with just gave rough estimates based on square footage and seemed to rely on volume and weren't as personal. A lot of negative reviews of those companies stemmed from them using the same products regardless of floor/counter type (which can be problematic) and also that there was very little accountability if any problems came up. The fact that Maggie knows her team and is very hands on gave us a little more peace of mind. I have no doubt that she'd take care of any issues immediately. Our first clean was the second week of March and it was a really deep clean that left our place spotless. They spent a good 4 hours on a Saturday working incredibly hard. Maggie wanted to be present for our first clean so we was nice enough to schedule it on the weekend so she was there to make sure everything went perfectly, and it did. We had wood floors installed last August and when they were done, they looked brand new. In fact, everything looked great. There's also less dust which helps my wife's allergies. I would absolutely recommend this company to friends. It may cost a little more than the competition but it's worth every penny for the peace of mind, professionalism, and the higher quality work. read more

If you just need a good cleaning to look ok for guests then it is great. I booked a move-out cleaning and explained when booking that I needed oven, cabinets, etc. done. I had to mention dusting the blinds and louvered doors for them to get cleaned. I would expect with a move-out cleaning they would wipe the top of the door frames and such. They have a checklist they give you where it states dust reachable vents, I guess one on the ceiling or at the top edge of 8ft walls is not in a reachable spot. I was told a crew of two would be there at 8am, one person showed up at 9am. I was charged for six hours however Overall....would not use again for a move-out cleaning. read more
