Everyone who gave this place 5 stars is obviously friends, family or staff. I went here 3 nights ago and decided to make a Yelp just to warn people how horrible it is. I have been living in Boca for 15 years and remember the old Prezzo's. When I heard Burt Rapopor was bringing it back my wife and I could not be more excited! There are very few Italian restaurants west of I-95 so I was hoping I could have a new favorite spot. Boy was I wrong. My biggest issue besides the food was the hostess staff. My wife dealt with them and felt intimated by them. I didn't think that was the appropriate way to treat a 60 year old woman, but I told her to shake it off and enjoy the rest of our meal. My wife had the chicken parm and that was the saving grace for me not to give this place negative stars. The rest of the food was horrible. Welcome back my old friend. An exciting and inventive preview of the next hotspot in Boca. From appetizer to dessert there was barely a misstep. The appetizers were mussels and risotto croquets were perfection The broth with the mussels could be a soup by itself. The marinara also was great. My daughter and I had the steak which was perfectly cooked. The salad that accompanied it was beyond good. I would eat that every day. The potatoes were good but needed a kick of salt. Dessert. Tiramisu, buddino and apple tart were all really good but the buddino was the best. When you go ask for Jeffrey because he is amazing and sweet as hell. Fantastic. That sums it up. The general manager, Lauren, has helped to create a great eating establishment. Excellent service, excellent food and large portions make Prezzo a restraint you will always return to. We went on a weekday and weekend night and both times our reservation were spot on. Out waiter Arturo helped make our meal thoroughly enjoyable. He explained each dish that we asked questions about as well as having a wonderful pace of serving food. The chicken Prezzo was great. The chopped antipasto salad was enough for 2 ( possibly 3) people. I can't guarantee they do it for all, but we told Prezzo that it was a birthday celebration and they treated us to a tartuffo . Great bar, though its part of the strip mall the patio is sort of offside, great outdoor space. we missed the bar bites but the happy hour specials run through 6:30 pm. Our server Azore was awesome (hellloooo bread and roasted garlic I love you). Tried the pizza, meatballs, chicken parm, all great. Pizzas are big enough to split. Big ups to Mike and crew; we came through during their dinner rush and were seated super quick, no pressure on ordering but once we got them in everything came out really quickly. read more

This was my first time at any Prezzo restaurant. My South Floridian Friends raved about the good old days there. So tonight, we tried it. The food is good, but a little pricey for pasta.. Sort of your typical Italian American restaurant. The mozzarella bar is great in concept and would be even better if the servers would tell you which mozzarella was which when they put it in front of you. Service is extremely slow. I was pretty sure our waiter forgot about us more than once. They were very nice, just very slow. It was not too busy so I expected more attention. When our waiter finally returned to take our order, he definitely knew the menu and the wine list and gave us good advice on what to order. I wanted great but when I got was just okay. From the salad to dessert everything was outstanding! The best veal Marsala I've ever had. I asked the waiter what kind of mushrooms there were and he named all six of them! I had heard about the roasted garlic to spread on toasted focaccia and it was even better than expected. Italian is my favorite to eat and I can't wait to go back again to try something else. Our waiter, Alex was extremely attentive also. My husband had their baked rigatoni and loved it. My daughter ate the salmon that had glaze on it and said it was delicious as well. I have been to Prezzo several times now. Being someone who remembers the original, it does not live up to what my memories anticipate. A previous dining experience, I had the chicken and pasta that was supposed to be based on the one from the original, it was not, I was really disappointed in that. The other night I had dinner there with a friend she had chicken Parm, I had a Eggplant Parm, the pasta was so dry we weren't sure if it had sat under a heat lamp or if it was just dry, hard to eat. Eggplant and chicken also a disappointment. The chicken was dry and not as tender as expected, based on past experience with that chicken Parm. The egg plant also was just dry it needed a lot more sauce. It was pretty busy, lots of large tables. It doesn't change the fact that we were underwhelmed. It's not the same quality of food as the old Prezzo's, but it has some good dishes. Tonight we had the meatball pizza and it was great. I gave it 3 stars because we were sitting at the bar and the gentleman next to us ordered a Manhattan without garnish/fruit. The bartender (a young female) starting pouring his drink from the cocktail shaker with a cherry in the bottom of the glass. He said, "oh I ordered it without a cherry." With the drink being half poured, she reached into glass with her fingers and retrieved the fruit - and then proceeded to pour the rest of the drink. I couldn't believe it! He accepted the drink but I wouldn't have. It was interesting. The staff may not be trained as well as they could be. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed out last meal here. The bread sticks with oil and freshly grated parm cheese was excellent. The caesar salad was fresh and perfectly seasoned. I had the salmon with grilled tomatoes and zucchini noodle. This was outstanding, cooked perfectly (I like it a little well-done which it was but not at all dry). Our waitress, Debbie, was great; attentive but not intrusive. I had a birthday coupon but it turns out I had three coupons on my account and she helped out by explaining which coupons would maximize our value.
