I always want the fish sandwich but they don't have the fish I want (picky! ). My son got the chicken sandwich which was really great. The bun was so fresh. My FIL got the Benedict. It was huge. Fruit cups all around. Huge chunks of pineapple. My son and I got the lemonade spritz. It was too sweet me but my son enjoyed both of ours.

I still love the fruit tart - good texture and mix of sweet and slightly tart. The macaron and elephant ear was pretty good. The macaron had good flavor and texture. Elephant ears tasted good, though I would've preferred more layers and more of a crisp. Lemon poppy danish was the standard danish. I sadly wasn't as impressed by the cream puff and eclair dough. I know they make their pastries fresh every day but on a busy Saturday at 10:30 am, the eclair dough didn't taste fresh and was not as light and airy as I hoped. Cream puff was ok. The dough was also meh. BUT the focaccia was amazing!! It was on-sale day old bread but had great flavor and was soft on the inside and slightly crispy in the outside. All in all, for what's in the area and restaurant's atmosphere, it's still worth the trip.

They did forget my hotdog at first but I still got it after going back. The pretzel hotdogs were delicious and I also got a salted pretzel and a strawberry lemonade. Strawberry lemonade seems super sweet though I enjoyed it. Ambiance: It feels like a little grab and go but there are plenty of seats. It's mall food so not sure what people are expecting but my expectations were pretty low to begin with. I've been many times and what's available and fresh is super dependent on how fast it's made. We got lucky that 2 pepperoni pretzels came out right as we walked up to order two. Then they were out again.

Most of the pretzels were stuck together and raw/doughy when bitten and pulled apart. Poor quality control cause I'll usually eat the whole cup. These were tossed in the trash. I'm only bringing this next part up because the pretzels sucked so bad. The woman taking my order was talking to a friend the whole time, mask pulled under her chin, talking all over my food. Don't care about all that because I'm not wearing one or worried about that but it stuck out more given the quality of the food. Next time I'm at this location I'll ask for a sample 1st

I was hoping I would not be disappointed. Downtown Durham on Parrish Street I do believe. I went there midday and there was a sparse lunch crowd already seated when I arrived. The warmly lit space presents nice aesthetic as you walk into the restaurant. A very chill and comfortable atmosphere. I love the bar and the mirrored wall nestled behind it. The spot is pretty laidback and very clean, but has a bit of a rustic nuance to it as well. I like that. The serving staff were extremely nice and helpful towards advising me in making my selection -- with me being a first-timer and all. I kept it simple...I chose the Classic Burger (pink) with pepper jack cheese, bacon marmalade, and as a side, I had to go with the Dirty Fries -- 'cause that's how I roll y'all. About the food: I have to say, the burger was staunchly built and crafted with artistry. Nice and tall with a seriously tasty bun encapsulating everything. Perfectly well-seasoned meat and the first bite was simply delightful. I noticed as I got towards the center of the meat, it was bit less juicy than the surrounding parts of the burger, but nevertheless still tasty. My Dirty Fries were delicious In the end; the experience as a whole was quite delightful and I would definitely like to go there again -- perhaps try a different burger to expand upon my experience with this place. Gotta try out That Bar y'all! I do recommend it for those who haven't had a chance to go by there to check it out.

Even before me an my party entered we could hear music playing from the building, which kept the vibes up! Moving onto the food, a certain menu item caught my eye. Something that I'm legally obligated to keep quiet about... but let tell you- this burger was Gooood. This "Signature Secret Burger" was rather unique, as it was like you took a pretty simple egg burger, and just ramped it up. My initial thought when I first tried it was that it was a burger squared, the mystery ingredients amplified the flavor to make such a savory meal. It wasn't to overbearing like many other burger places that I've visited, not immediately making me feel fat and full after taking a few bites. Our party also ordered a whole quart of fries, and they were SO GOOD!!! I'm a sucker for good fries, and you knocked this out of the park! Your fry soft was nice and mellow and complimented the fries perfectly. (And even afterwards, the fries warmed up really well and were still Really freakin' good!) Finally, during my visit, their anniversary event (Happy 15th By The Way ) and they were offering FREE DESSERT for someone who happened to sit in a randomly chosen seat. And by the luck of the gods my little brother found his way onto the seat! It was just really awesome to see a restaurant doing such awesome things for their birthday, y'don't see that every day! Overall, this place is definitely a place to stop by if you're in Durham. If you're in the area visit IMMEDIATELY if you love good fun food!

I'm always on the hunt for a good savory pastry so I got the ham and cheese croissant and it did not disappoint. Pro tip - take your pastries from the busy farmers market across the street to Dorothea Dix Park to birdwatch and overlook the city skyline! I was slightly shocked that 2 pastries were $20 - that's the only reason it's four instead of five stars!

These were the only items in their selection that had a price, $4, so I got two togo. The lemon bars and blueberry bars looked delicious, so I got two each for after dinner. We got 50 little neck clams, and needed some bread. Their sourdough looked good, so I got a loaf. The sourdough that we bought was literally the most dense bread I have ever eaten. Even soaking it in clam broth did not help. Tried an un-soaked piece, and it was like eating tough jerky. The dogs didn't even want it. After dinner I cut one each of the pastries in quarters to share. The lemon had a very slight taste of lemon (very very slight), and although the blueberry appears to be packed with fruit, it only tasted like soggy dough. (See pic). My last shot was the macaroon. I gave one to my daughter to split with me. She barely split it. The filling was like the mixed it with marshmallows. It stretched while the cookie crushed, and also did not taste good at all. I would like to think they got a new pastry chef that is learning, but sorry, at 42 bucks for that amount of food that was all bad, I'm not going to be another guinea pig. Oh, no one wanted the other lemon or blueberry bar, so sadly I threw them out.

There are tots were exceptional, though, and I am a fry girl. I didn't love the truffle seasoning on the fries but the quality of the fries was good. Burgers: I had the goutmet burger with truffle fries. The burger was overcooked (well done) and the rosemary aoili was off.. We had a show to catch so I did not send the burger back, but I think it would have been way better had it been cooked to the temperature I requested and if I had asked for the rosemary aoili to be omitted. The burger that my date had was better. The smashburger had a mix of sirloin and another cut of beef. It was topped with melty cheese ans bacon. It was moist and a solid burger! Service very attentive. Our waiter was very good. I just wished he had asked me how the burger was. I would still give them another try. Nice spot and waiters are great.

The pimento cheese chicken sandwich was good but didn't have nearly enough pimento cheese. After that experience, we decided to come back tonight. Sadly, the menu we enjoyed was completely gone and replaced. The server assured us the new menu was much better. We ordered the Airline Chicken and the Steak Frites. The chicken was good, along with the spicy sauce but the plate felt empty. The steak was barely edible and mostly fat. The arugula salad it came with wasn't good either. Luckily the rosemary fries were very tasty. Overall, we will not be back for the "new and improved" menu. The service didn't help, as they were understaffed.
