Fantastic spot for all pretzel lovers. The space is not the largest, but substantial enough to have seating for a few groups (about 4-5 picnic style tables). There's a couple free to play arcade game machines in the corner which is also quite some fun, in addition to the fridges lining the far wall with plenty of fun classic glass bottle sodas and juices. The space is quite clean and decor is fun. The pretzels themself are fantastic, plenty of options for both sweet or savory fillings, and even some plain ones that you can dip into their plethora of sauces. The stuffed pretzels are filled generously, and everything we tried tasted incredible, especially since they were all made fresh to order. Even with this the service was very efficient, and staff were all friendly. The pricing may seem a tad high at first for a pretzel, but each one can easily be a full meal and as such they start making much more sense and are frankly very reasonable. I cannot say enough good things about Crofton's pretzels! They are so delicious and freshly made to order. Just know that if you get one of the normal pretzels, those are premade but if you get one of the stuffed pretzels, those are fresh. One pretzel is pretty large. I shared it with a friend. How good is this place? We arrived there at a few minutes before they opened on a Saturday morning and when they opened the door there was already a line to order. The gal at the register said we could order from her or use the tablet, which we did because didn't know the menu and that let others who knew what they wanted to order. So we ended up ordering a plain, a jalapeno popper, pepperoni and a pretzel dog. Everything was delicious! Getting a warm, freshly baked pretzel on a cold rainy day was the best solution to the winter blues! We took ours to go, but started in on the plain pretzel as we pulled out! Hard to resist all that baked goodness after watching them fix our pretzels! Pro tip: check out the drink cooler, they have a really good selection of sodas, and they're relatively cheap ($3 for a craft soda like Boylan). We were in downtown raleigh and decided to finally stop by and try this spot. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed! We were able to order at a kiosk and got our pretzel in about 15-20 mins. We ordered the pimento & bacon pretzel and it was HUGE!! Crofton's pretzels in Raleigh are delicious! They are very large and have many flavor and filling options, and are reasonably priced. The parking out front is limited however there is parking alongside the street in the residential area nearby. There is limited indoor seating. I showed up on a Wednesday at 12:45 and there were maybe 7 or 8 people waiting on their pretzel orders. They do take 10-15 minutes to prepare, which you can't be upset with because it shows they are making each pretzel to order. For my order, I got the cheesesteak, which had ribeye and white American cheese stuffed in the bottom of the pretzel. You have to eat it slowly because so much steam comes out when you initially bite into the section with the filling. The pretzel is super crispy, which is essential for any soft pretzel. It had a decent dusting of salt on it. I'm not a big salt fan, so I dusted most of it off. I liked it, though I would probably get a different one next time. The cinnamon pretzel was insanely good. Crunchy, intense brown sugar flavor, everything you would want. Over the top decadent. When I get it again, I'll get some of the icing for dipping. And that pretzel was only about 3 bucks! Crofton's Pretzels in Raleigh opened on Saturday, 10/4, to a line out the door. My partner and I came later in the day - around 2:30/3, and they still had tons of people eager for their pretzels. I want to give a big shout out to the crew who were working so hard. There was only about 5 of them and they were motoring through orders. My partner and I got one salted pretzel and two chili dogs. All for less than $15. The chili dogs were very good - they were wrapped up in the pretzel bun, and I absolutely loved the quality of the pretzel bun for these hot dogs. There were also stuffed pretzels (savory and sweet) to choose from, which we plan to try next time. We had the salted pretzel a little later since our pretzel dogs were so filling and it was incredibly fresh and salty. The Crofton's Pretzels space itself has indoor and outdoor picnic tables, fridges for bottled/canned drinks, and shares a parking lot with other businesses. The parking was a little difficult just because of the size of the parking lot and the amount of people, so a lot of people were parking on the residential side street. My wife loves these, and I pick them up for her regularly. The regular salted pretzel is delicious, very fresh, and authentically Philadelphia, we used to get them all the time when we visited there. We usually order two regular salted pretzels for about $7 plus tax and tip. The location on South Saunders Street is extremely convenient. If pretzels are all you're getting, it's quick and easy to walk in, order, and be on your way. When we come during the workday, there's plenty of parking right out front; at busier times, there's paid parking just down the street. Service is always quick, friendly, and professional. Did not live up to the hype. Tried my first Crofton's pretzel today- cheese & pepperoni. We split a strawberry as well. The exterior skin of the pretzels are very similar to the mass produced style that you purchase at the grocery. The interior tasted and looked a bit underbaked, and the cheese & pepperoni were nothing special. The strawberry tasted to be nothing more than canned pie filling. We stopped by Crofton's Pretzels after noticing they were open while driving down South Saunders street. It's definitely a bit bare bones on the inside: you order at the counter, select your beverage from the cooler in the back, and sit at an indoor picnic table. There are three console video games to distract you while you wait on your order. As far as the pretzels go, we tried a plain pretzel and a cinnamon-sugar pretzel. The plain pretzel order was fulfilled from a counter-top display case containing a small number of pretzels. The cinnamon-sugar pretzel started life as a plain pretzel from that same display case, but was passed off to an employee in the back who doctored it up by dipping it in a sweet syrup and giving it a dusting of cinnamon and sugar. My somewhat gooey and sweet cinnamon-sugar pretzel rated a very good four stars, while my companion thought her plain pretzel rated an underwhelming two stars. If the pretzels had been served warmer or even hot, that likely would have bumped our ratings up another star. We both noted that the texture of the pretzels was a bit more bread-like than the giant pretzels typically served in bars. She appreciated the variety of available mustards and other dipping sauces. Our two pretzels, a side of mustard, and 2 canned soft drinks was less than $8, which I thought represented a very good value. I'd like to start this review by saying that the pretzels themselves are delicious. Considering they're made to order, the wait time, even when they are busy, is reasonable. Expect a 10 to 15 minute wait from the time you order to the time you get your pretzels. Having said that, however, this location needs to work on its order accuracy and care of placement. We didn't think to look in the bag, so it's partially our fault, but they included none of the six different dips we ordered. Definitely something to consider checking before you walk out. Further, 2 of the 6 pretzels we ordered were just thrown in the bag-no paper wrap. That's not too hygienic. We'll likely be back, but we'll definitely be looking in the bag to make sure we got everything we paid for and that it was packaged properly! read more

Great pretzels! It was our first time visiting and the guy that waited on us took the time to explain the different options and also made some great recommendations.
