We went to the Pimento Cheese Festival in Downtown Cary Park yesterday and this is where we discovered the Oink N Moo food truck! We saw someone with this delicious-looking brisket sandwich and asked them where they got it, and that's when they pointed us to the Oink N Moo truck. When we ordered, we noticed that the amount of people waiting for their order was large, so we expected a 20-30 minute wait. The man that took our order was very nice, and told us to be patient as the kitchen was backed up. After a 50 minute wait while the people waiting for their order kept piling up, we finally got our food. Everyone around us seemed fairly annoyed about the wait, as were we. The brisket grilled cheese sandwich with added pimento cheese was delicious, however we didn't detect much added pimento cheese which was a disappointment at the pimento cheese festival. The brisket was piled on this sandwich and was delicious and smoky, the thick Texas toast bread was perfectly crunchy, and the American cheese was nice and melty. The crinkle fries were better than I expected - VERY crunchy (which I love) and highly seasoned. Their strawberry mango lemonade was also very delicious and sweet, with a good amount of strawberry and mango flavor. Maybe a little too sweet for my taste. read more

The pork BBQ in my sandwich was dry. The ribs didn't look good coming out, but they were in fact good. The fries were too heavily seasoned for some in our party. I was really put off that the order taker very loudly (read: for all in the vicinity to hear) asking if I'd like to tip the crew, then shouting out different percentages starting at 20%. This is obviously to put pressure on for tipping. This is poor form. Also, why is tipping even a thing when these are not tipped employee roles? Maybe folks will want to toss them a couple of bucks, give them that option, but don't act like 20% is the standard. Instead of just being happy with the transaction I just felt scammed and turned off to this business. I'll be avoiding this truck in the future, hope this tactic was worth it to run a potential future customer off. read more

Food was decent. I had a pork sandwich and okra. It didn't take too long to get my order. Only like 10 minutes. The pork sandwich had a lot of bbq sauce so could be better to have sauce on the side if desired. The okra was crunchy and formed as balls. Would have liked a sauce for those. There were a few wood picnic tables just beside a fence nearby. For some reason there was an auto tip of 15%. I'm fine to tip but this was not expected. I would talk to whoever is the cashier about your tip amount before proceeding with purchase. Whoever is the owner, I recommend you disable the auto tip. read more

Wow! Let me tell you this little food truck has got it going on! I might have creeped on their instagram and saw them post something that said "ask us about our bbq sundae". Well, clearly I had to ask. The BBQ Sundae is pure genious! Their gourmet mac and cheese topped with baked beans and then topped with their delicious bbq. Oh, this man was a genious! Thay sindae was pure savory perfection! The bbq was seasoned BEAUTIFULLY! The baked beans sweet and cooked through. The mac and cheese was flavorful and perfect. I couldn't stop eating it. Each bite was pure bliss. The butterscotch peach cobbler. Genious. It's the pure texture and consistency. Very sweet but absolutely wonderful. Excited to try this food truck in my neighborhood. I had tried the brisket sandwich, mac and cheese, and cole slaw. The pick up was easy, quick and the folks on the truck were great! This sure is southern comfort food. We loved the brisket, the burnt ends were delightful! They used a fancy brioche bun. I put my purple cole slaw on top of the sandwich. Added some good acid. You may want to add the slaw because the only drawback is the sandwich is plain, only comes with a tangy Bar B Que sauce. Also, I liked the Mac and Cheese, it was good, not sure I saw much bacon in the mac and cheese. Hopefully, this truck comes back because my Hubby liked it too and we will get the 3 meat and some sides next time this truck rolls through the hood. It's really hard to nail something like brisket at a good truck. Once it has been cooked (and there's no cooking 16 hour brisket to order), the clock is ticking until you're eventually left with beef jerky. The brisket I had at Oink N Moo was the closest to homemade I have had from a food truck, restaurant, or anywhere else. I was legitimately blow away. The Mac and cheese was creamy and not a bit of grit, and the cobbler has no right tasting like that. The best part, honestly, was the friendly service though. It was like picking up food from my friend's house, and I would hesitate a single second to go back if I see them around town again.
