If I could leave zero stars, I would. We asked if the food contained MSG, and to be fair, the gentleman cooking (who I believe is the owner) did take a moment to check. I ordered the truffle chicken vegetarian dish -- it came out overly acidic, not at all like it came from fresh tomatoes. The cheese wasn't melted, the greens were barely there, and it was basically just bruschetta. My husband tried to speak with the owner about the food, but he was incredibly rude and dismissive -- made no effort to listen or make things right. My husband had ordered the Cuban pork, which came out gray and unappetizing, with unmelted cheese. Portions were also really small for the price. The only positive I can mention is the 99.5 health score -- but honestly, that's not enough to make up for the food or the customer service. After checking, it also makes sense that there haven't been any new reviews on their website since 2019-2020. Strongly recommend avoiding this place. read more

I came across Flattz by chance and am always willing to try food from a food truck I've not been to before. It didn't wow me. The menu sounded good, but the delivery didn't match. I suppose since I didn't order a flatbread anything on my first visit, that might be the issue. I mean, why stop at a flatbread truck if you're going to order mac n' cheese, which decidedly is the last thing you'd expect served on flatbread. The Mac n Cheese sounded interesting -- smoked gouda with bacon and a chocolate drizzle. What could be wrong with that? Gouda? Bacon? Chocolate? It's no weirder a combo than you'd find at the fair. It was overrated. It turns out the slight drizzle of chocolate was the only real flavor at all. The bacon was crisp, but the mac and cheese was nearly a mushy-mess and would probably have held the shape of the cup if I'd turned it upside down. They redeemed themselves with the flatbread choices on my second visit. The prosciutto and arugula was good. The saltiness of the prosciutto offset by the slight balsamic vinegar and the creaminess of the cheeses made for a great meal. The flatbread was too thick for my liking, but it didn't keep me from eating it. The orders take a slight bit of time, but not unmanageable, giving a hint of food made fresh. Had been a bit worried based on previous reviews that it would be too sweet due to the hoisin, but it was just right with the spiced grilled chicken and the crunchy cashews. Also had to try their Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese side. Yum! Creamy with a perfect topping of bacon and green onions, but what really made it was the drizzle of a honey balsamic. Mmmmm! Others who ordered the Southwest Chicken Flat Bread were happy. I heard a complaint about the Full Monty that mustard wasn't in the description, but hers was full of mustard. Normally I like all of these ingredients, but I wasn't wowed with the flavors or the flatbread itself. If I could give a Zero, I would. The owner of this food truck is rude and obnoxious. His $10 food was quite tasty but he quickly became annoyed when I asked for additional sauce. His statement to me was very rude, "you haven't eaten tasted it and you are asking for more sauce. " that will be 53 cents if you want more. I attempted to pay him with my credit card and he became more agitated saying it will cost him more to use the card. I didn't have cash with me. Bottom line, don't eat from his truck if you are used to decent customer service. I don't care if it's a food truck, I expect a nice experience. Not being scolded like a child. BTW, a customer walked by and asked for a spoon. You would have thought she asked him for a kidney. He became upset over being asked because she purchased her item from another truck. I was under the impression it had a little kick to it, so I was disappointed when it didn't have any heat. Perusing the menu, I found a long list of mainly flat bread entrees and even desserts that promised a level of culinary sophistication not often seen from a food truck.
