They say the salsa bar is for customers eating inside. So, I can eat inside, dirty a table you will have to clean, have as much salsa as I want (without the owners complaining) but if I order my food to go I am a second class citizen? This has been an issue at this place since DAY ONE. I remember in the beginning they had the salsa bar but didn't have any cups out. You had to ask for freaking cups to put your salsa in and the owner would give you ONE cup and it's the smallest cup he could give you. I love the food but I wish they would stop with this crazy rational.

No…read moreneon sombreros, no mariachi murals, just a reliable lineup of tacos and enchiladas served with all the enthusiasm of a Tuesday afternoon. Comfortingly plain, pleasantly predictable. The system is simple: no servers, no guidance--just you, a counter, and a menu with more items than the Cheesecake Factory tried on a dare. Place your order, take your number, and prepare for the ceremonial calling of digits while you sit in chairs that are definitely not here for comfort. The chorizo burrito is huge, yes, but so is the mystery of when its ingredients last encountered a farm. Each bite tastes like it was compiled, not cooked--layer after layer of "good enough" wrapped lovingly in a tortilla that's doing most of the heavy lifting. The overall experience can best be described as "serviceable." You get food. You sit. Your number gets shouted. You consume a burrito of questionable freshness. You survive. It's a place where expectations come to rest comfortably low--and for better or worse, the restaurant meets them exactly. Cheers!

It's a very cute restaurant. However, my best friend and I went to Chido Taco earlier and the food was not nearly as good as it used to be and tasted a lot less flavorful. Also I know I am maybe the last person to be talking about a restaurants music because I don't have amazing music taste but everytime before when I used to go the music was amazing and introduced me to so many different hispanic artists but when we went today it was all songs that you'd hear in a club. Your then given a order number and it's open seating. Your number will be called out in Spanish when your food is ready and you'll pick it up at the counter. I ordered an al pastor taco which unfortunately was not good. It came out extremely cold and needed a lot of salsa for it to have any flavor. I also ordered a steak burrito which was much better and was served with melted cheese on the top. There were fatty pieces throughout the burrito but this was far better than the taco. Lastly, I ordered a horchata but it tasted like grainy and wasn't great. If I'm in the area again I may give this a try but I'd definitely stick with a burrito so your food is hot.

Orders come out fast (usually within 5-10 minutes) and always warm, which is exactly what you want from a place like this. But let's be honest, the real star here is the salsa bar. Especially the green avocado sauce. It's so good it's honestly dangerous. I could drink that stuff. That sauce alone is the main reason I keep coming back, and it elevates everything on the menu. Yes, it's a smidge pricier than some other fast-casual Mexican spots, but between the quality, speed, and that salsa bar, I happily pay it every time. It feels worth it.
