Beautiful dining room.

The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. The ambiance was perfect. Loved the music. Billie Holiday and Louis Armstrong what's not to love?

I had the Borsao red with the Berry Pasta Tagliatelle with Lite Alfredo Sauce , Fresh Strawberries & Shaved Asiago and a bit of bread with olive oil. I had this pasta dish 10 years ago and just was ecstatic when I found it on the menu again. I remember it with blackberries. The strawberries were not the best flavor/sweetness wise but they were adequate, but the pasta and the special Alfredo sauce were delicious and worth the price. I also enjoyed the wine the bartender recommended, and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Oysters were all amazing. The hangar steak was very tender and flavorful with great mashed potatoes and green beans. David was a very good waiter. Ambiance was lovely.

Charming manor in the country. My wife and I were celebrating our 15th and I've been to the ILW…read moreseveral times and great, wanted to try something new and different. I was pleasantly surprised by the Houndstooth. We booked a 7pm reservation on Toc and mentioned some food allergies and items we liked and they created a beautiful menu. See attached. Our first course was an asparagus salad with grapefruit that really had much more flavor than I was expecting, paired perfectly with a Muscadet. The second course was a chilled split pea soup with orzo and Lobster. My wife does not like Split Pea and the only place she has ever liked it was at ILW, this was great especially paired with the Ryan Patrick Chardonnay. The wine was dry not oaky and loved it. The third course was a bass and shrimp lightly fried on risotto with Serrano peppers that was delicious. My favorite wine of the evening was the Portuguese Mapreco. I had a second glass. Mind you I'm an Italian Red fan and these were all whites up to this point, loved each one. The chef took him time pairing these. My favorite course was a Brioche wrapped Beef Wellington, Ramsay would be proud. So good! Black truffle purée with a Bordeaux ended the savory menu perfectly. What was very nice was that you got an ample pour vs a tasting pour. Our dessert was a sample of items. Playing and presentation matters to this chef. Chef Dane then spoke to us for a good 10 minutes telling us his story and background. It's very personal for him and you can tell the passion and love he puts into his cooking to delight his guests. I highly recommend everyone coming out to this beautiful property. I would, however, next time stay the night at the Glen Gordon Manor bit more of a drive than I wanted after dinner. The manor is south of Front Royal on 522 and is gorgeous, quiet and you definitely feel like you can relax and enjoy yourself.

I would never want to hurt a business on purpose, and I'll be mild with the rating, but today was…read moresub par!! Despite a long wait, once we ordered we were told from the neighboring table that they had ordered their appetizer over 40 mins and still didn't receive anything after we had placed our order with food for our little children. Needless to say about 10 mins later the table waiting for almost an hour for an appetizer walked out and we followed suit.... Walking past the tables I noticed several menu choices in the plates and microwaved steamed veggies and overpriced $40 steak for the same quality you'd get at a chain is what I saw.... This shouldn't be labeled a steak house when there's only two or three cooks cooking supposedly Mediterranean, middle eastern, American food all on the same menu and small grill.....

At there today for dinner white visiting the casino. We (myself, husband and adult daughter) were…read morelooking at their menu (this was before they opened) ,and the General Manager , "Anthony", was telling me about a 4th of July meal deal that they having running. I proceeded to tell Anthony that I'd come back when they opened in an hour or so. I'm so glad that I did. The decor was really pretty, the booth has high back seating , of which was spacious and comfy. "Gigi" was our server and she was amazing, professional and courteous! Now let's get into this food ! I ordered the 169z ribeye (medium) , and it was delicious. I can definitely appreciate when a restaurant gets my-medium steak cooked medium. The steak was juicy & flavorful ! My husband ordered the bison ribeye and it was soooo delicious ! I didn't know what to expect because I haven't had bison before but it far exceeded my expectations !

Would gladly come back. -Brussels sprouts: delicious. Roasted and topped with parm, bacon, and balsamic glaze. As with all Brussels some bits are charred and a little too toasty for me but really yummy. -Marry me chicken: it's rich- a lot of cheese and cream. Portion is huge. Tangy sundried tomatoes cut the richness and was actually tender. I enjoyed the better as leftovers and I don't know why. Mashed potatoes creamy, buttery delicious. I don't like spinach so I got it with a side of green beans. -Green beans: good but cooked and seasoned unevenly. I still liked it -Grilled mahi tacos: I enjoyed this the most. The taco shell isn't a taco shell, more like a flatbread or naan toasted. It has a variety of textures and flavors - pumpkin seeds, jalapeño slaw, avocado sauce, and pico. It's bright and punchy and delicious. Comes w fries -Sweet potato fries: so yum. Crispy outside fluffy inside Cheese pizza: a lot of cheese- a little too much for me. The restaurant itself is lake themed with beautiful wood paneling, floor to ceiling windows, centered around a cozy fire place. I made a comment that it'd be perfect for baby/ bridal showers and my friend said people actually have weddings here. The interior is matched by an even more beautiful view. They offer outdoor waterside seating on their deck. It looks to be screened in/ have windows so you're not exposed to the weather. Service was great/ attentive.
