I love this hidden coffee place. It looks so beautiful on the sunny day. Their soup was so lovely too. Highly recommended!

The cafe has a new owner and she introduced brunch on weekends. This was the trigger for me to try it. Luckily I've been to the Print Museum and hence the cafe before as you kind of need to know where you're heading (once on the grounds of the barracks keep right and follow the road - you'll then see the chapel with the print museum on your right and the cafe just behind it.) They put lovely ideas into their decorations. Like little bottles for the milk, little jars with lid for the sugar, old syrup tins for the cutlery on the desks, colourful tea pots....And as the cafe is in a conservatory it's lovely bright and you feel like sitting outside while being sheltered (I love conservatories ;-)) I had a cappuccino - and I'd say the best in a long time. A lot of the time you hardly taste the espresso. Not so here. For my brunch I had egg Benedict with bacon. It was served on a slate board which looked lovely but mad it a bit difficult to take the egg or soda farl off. But I still enjoyed it a lot. Very fresh and tasty. I might try it with the salmon next time though, as the bacon was a bit too salty for me. We got to try several of their desserts and from the ones I tried I loved the raspberry and white chocolate scone (fluffy and even with butter an jam not too sweet) and the rocky road with yummy dark chocolate the best. Finally I had filtered coffee and again no disappointment whatsoever. Now that I know where to park on the grounds (any space without a number) I'll be back for sure as parking on the street even on a Saturday is pretty pricey - free on Sundays though.

We are just visiting in Dublin over the week and found this amazing place. We just ate a great and tasty breakfast. Friendly and nice service and beautiful interior. A real hidden gem. We will probably not be trying any other breakfast places this week!

Hot Chocolate, so good!

This is literally the best meal I had while in Dublin, and I was there for almost a month! I ate at Press several times. It's a bit hidden, but it's such a gem it's worth it. Everything I ordered was great, I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order.

This area of Ballsbridge is really spoilt for choice in terms of great coffee, although this place is a little harder to find, it's worth the hunt. Excellent coffee, cakes as well as Anzac slices which is basically crack in food form. Highly addictive! Their banana bread French toast is delicious. In fact, just about everything is delicious! A great spot!

Amaizing cafe built as a glass/ green house. Lovely atmosphere, great place not just for food but for a tea break, reading and relaxing. I have to say that i havnt tried their menu yet but i only went for coffee on a sunny day and it was quite. ppl there at the time were reading books and it felt like the right place to do so. The anterior is very cool with mix and mach old school chairs and tables and an outdoor with beautiful flowers perfect for sunny days.

Banana bread French toast!!!

Wonderful cafe for brunch! The food is delicious, the coffee is brilliant, and ambiance is nice. The only down-side is that the service takes a long time, so don't go when you are in a rush. The banana bread french toast is quite indulgent; I recommend going with a friend and splitting that with a savory dish!

What a great discovery this place is!!! Lovely interior, good for relaxed brunch at the weekends. Food is delicious and cheap, only €9 for Press signature which was toasted potato farls with avocado, chorizo and poached eggs. Their coconut bread is amazing! Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to my next visit there.

Nice ambiance, this little cafe was tucked in a very quiet area and is a good option for brunch.

It was delicious! The coffee was good too. When leaving I ordered a chai latte to go and I have to admit it was the worst chai latte I've ever had so I wouldn't recommend that one ;) The rest is great. The place was hopping when I was leaving which I usually look at as a great thing! Definitely worth a go again I'd say!

We piled in, all 16 of us for an office lunch last week, the place was busy with a good atmosphere and despite the fact that nearly all the tables were full, our meals came out quickly and correct for all. It's nice when that happens, you aren't worrying about clock-watching and only having so much time before you have to be back in the office. I had the burger as the pulled pork had sold out (gutting); the burger, as with all the mains dishes, was HUGE. I'm a big guy, I like food, I will always clear my plate (because otherwise mommy would be mad... who me? issues?....not at all). I struggled here, I only just finished the mountainous meal served with the slightly too greasy fries... but finish I did.... because I'm a good little boy. Overall it was tasty, not so much so that I'll rant and rave and promise to be back next week... but good enough and I certainly won't object to going back! Oh, I got to try a couple of the wings as well - they were VERY good!

With this in mind I set out in 2015 to find Brendans Cafe for a full Irish Breakfast. On Brendans journey he is said to have encountered a sea monster....on my journey a man in a sleeveless jacket menacingly drove a forklift truck along the path in front of us like something from Mad max. The voyage ended in the sitting down in this unassuming haunt for a very enjoyable breakfast set in the heartland of old school Dublin. They actually serve Brennans batch bread with the breakfast aswell as a shot of Orange juice to wet the whistle and a mug of tea/coffee. Places like Brendans Cafe are great, it will never try to be anything that it is'nt and it will never need to either. It is more than enough, the large breakfast at €8.50 is a real charming plate of food and I have to say that its refreshing to visit the kind of Cafe that has been doing the same thing right for quite a long time and hopefully will continue to fry up a storm for many years to come. Brendan even said "Well done" when I paid. There was something nice about the whole experience and I will be making a voyage here again in the near future no doubt.
