Lovely cappuccino at the Greenery in Donnybrook
    Sophie B.

I really enjoy this place. I've been twice for brunch and was totally satisfied each time. The staff was very nice and the whole place had a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. And if you're the type who likes smoothies/juices, this place has quite the selection! Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to get lunch here yet, but I would definitely love to give it a try. Another huge positive for me was the coffee. Both visits I ordered a cappuccino with my meal and I was not disappointed.

Visited here for brunch last Sunday. Seating available outside, so a nice spot to make the most of the sunshine. Service was excellent. Really nice bunch working here. Ordered the toast with chorizo with avocado and roasted tomato. It was decent. The only issue with it was the portion size was what you'd expect from an entree dish. I'd expect slightly more of everything for brunch, especially considering their prices. All in all I'd return but would order something else.

The most amazing burger, decent price. Unreal restaurant! #FoodPorn

Had a great brunch here! I had the hash with eggs and ham and the boyfriend had the huevos rancheros, both delighted with high quality, delicious food and fabulous service. The orange juice also was clearly freshly squeezed and was to die for! Will definitely return for the French toast or pancakes!

I've never noticed this place before whilst passing but it's a lovely little spot. I had the American style pancakes and my boyfriend had the avocado with sourdough toast, balsamic vinegar and feta cheese with poached eggs. We both really enjoyed our meals. The staff were friendly and service was quick. I will most definitely be back!

Eggs Benedict with slow braised ham...yum !!

Best eggs Benedict in Dublin or what??? I've tried so many eggs Benedict in different restaurants that have high reviews especially for their brunch menu ....nothing can beat this cafe I found in donnybrook. They actually use real slow braised ham instead of those which use a piece of ham that tastes like nothing. They also have a delicious brunch menu. Defo the go-to place if you are always looking for a better restaurant for brunch in dublin.

Nice little hidden spot. Would recommend the burger for lunch. Breakfast is full of really nice options.

Pretty good food here but the attitude and manner of the staff is appalling. You barely get a hello as you enter the door.

We enjoyed it so much, we eat there for two breakfasts. On the first day, my daughter ordered a breakfast sandwich. It was filled with bacon, egg and sausage. While she has a healthy appetite, she did her best to eat as much as she could, but there were plenty left on the plate. My husband ordered porridge with fresh berries. It also comes with nuts and honey on the side. He declared it the best porridge he's ever had and wouldn't share one bite. I ordered the avocado toast, which had an egg on top. It was very filling and my daughter enjoyed stealing bites. On the side of the table, they have a chutney, which was delicious with the avocado toast. The service was good, not super friendly, but fine. On our second day, my daughter ordered their granola, which has a rhubarb jam and honey on the side. My husband and I both ordered their porridge with fresh berries on the side. I wanted to have some of the best porridge he's ever had. My daughter didn't like her rhubarb jam so we traded and she had my side of berries, which she enjoyed greatly with her granola. It was a large bowl, but she did fine finishing up most of it and passing the rest to my husband. While for me, it wasn't the best porridge I've ever had, it was good. The honey was a welcome addition and normally I don't like things too sweet, The Orange Goat is a lovely spot for breakfast, coffee/tea and their lunch menu looks delicious as well. When we return to Dublin, we will surely stop in again and enjoy their breakfasts!

With this in mind I set out in 2015 to find Brendans Cafe for a full Irish Breakfast. On Brendans journey he is said to have encountered a sea monster....on my journey a man in a sleeveless jacket menacingly drove a forklift truck along the path in front of us like something from Mad max. The voyage ended in the sitting down in this unassuming haunt for a very enjoyable breakfast set in the heartland of old school Dublin. They actually serve Brennans batch bread with the breakfast aswell as a shot of Orange juice to wet the whistle and a mug of tea/coffee. Places like Brendans Cafe are great, it will never try to be anything that it is'nt and it will never need to either. It is more than enough, the large breakfast at €8.50 is a real charming plate of food and I have to say that its refreshing to visit the kind of Cafe that has been doing the same thing right for quite a long time and hopefully will continue to fry up a storm for many years to come. Brendan even said "Well done" when I paid. There was something nice about the whole experience and I will be making a voyage here again in the near future no doubt.
