Dinner for 2 at the Bar- Wednesday Pros: A fun and lively spot- everyone is having a fun time The staff is attentive and friendly There are a few wines on their menu (I don't care for beer with dinner so that's important to me!) We were able to eat at the bar Cons: They didn't have 2 menu items available

It was rainy and we had appetites, saw the good amount of people outside, so we checked it out! I read many reviews about their chicken wings. Being from the place where they originated, I had to give them a try! Was certainly not disappointed. Awesome flavor, huge portion. My colleague ordered the lamb and she loved it. Ate every last crumb to be honest. I didn't drink any alcohol, so I can't comment on the beer selection, but it looks good! Had a couple staff members at the bar and they stayed busy. Our waitress didn't visit us often and she never refilled my empty water glass. Felt a bit judged for not ordering a drink, but whatever. While we were there, the lights kept shifting. Bright to dim to brighter. Seems someone couldn't get it just right. Weird. Restrooms were upstairs. Appreciated there were a good amount of stalls. Place could afford to be a bit bigger for how popular it was. If you don't like big crowds or tight/dark places, perhaps avoid this place.

We were staying at the nearby Herbert Park Hotel and we had a fantastic dinner at the Bridge. Everyone that worked there was friendly. In particular, Rebecca was lovely and made sure everyone had what they needed. The food was delicious. My uncle started with a fantastic Irish seafood stew (the medium size was very generous and could have made a hearty meal). We shared a large cheese and meat plate. My aunt also had crab claws and while she loved the flavor, the claws were very tiny and didn't have much meat but I guess that can be the nature of seafood. For mains, I loved loved loved the bridge burger which was served with an incredible spicy delicious peppercorn sauce. Others had the fish and chips and loved them. This was a wonderful meal for our first night in Dublin. If I had a longer stay, I would have definitely gone back. I highly recommend the Bridge.

This is a most excellent pub! Dropped in for a spot of lunch on a Saturday, was busy enough, we ended up sitting upstairs in a smaller area, would be perfect for a private function. The whole pub has a nice warm feeling about it. Food menu is simple but great, really good variety and the prices are spot on for pub grub. the food its self was very tasty and it came out to us on time. I'll most likely be back for more.

Call it what you will, this is a new bar trying to be an old bar and it isn't succeeding overly well. True it has some decent beers on tap (which is brilliant and just about salvages the place), however, overall the place lacks atmosphere, no amount of old panelling and polished brass will cure that.

Starving after the Holiday World Show (they didn't have any food freebies and only crap food in the show room) we stopped in The Bridge for some food. They had a lovely brunch menu but it was afternoon by the time we got there so lots of meat options were already sold out. We ordered granola and coffee. The service was friendly and prompt. The granola was nice although I could've done with more yogurt and fruit. Overall I really liked the place and I will come back for a drink. It is rather dark inside which to me suggests going for drinks more so than food. But then I heard that the clever people of The Bridge will be serving vodka sorbets as deserts on Good Friday. Respect, that's very, very clever indeed!

The latest hotspot to open in dublin. Brought to us by the Grafton lounge and a bunch of Leinster boys. A definite improvement on Bellamys that had been here for the last million years and they have made a real effort - Will be interesting to get a look at the place when the initial crowd has subsided

Very good pub/restaurant in the Ballsbridge area. A kinda of packed during lunchtime on weekends but they have plenty of seat upstairs. The menu is quite short because it is a brunch menu - but the food is great. I loved their steak & eggs. Pulled pork is also good and it is big - you better be hungry..! They serve Pilsner Urquell on tap, something that I always enjoy. The inside if this pub isdark - some people would call it cozy but sometimes I can't see properly what's on my plate haha (my eyes, maybe...) Anyway, hipsters waiters work quick and are always in a good mood.

This pub is close to RDS, Aviva stadium, Herbert Park. Rugby day always very crowed for watching the game! Foods and Cocktails is delicious and reasonable price. I like Fish and Chips. And there is a lot of cocktails menu. Stuffs is very friendly. If you want to go to a nice Irish pub, I recommend here.

Excellent pub in Dublin. The fish and chips was quite good and of course, Guinness was plentiful and cost was reasonable for a pint.

The authentic Victorian setting, the Victorian mahogany fittings, the mosaic marble tiled floors and granite tabletops, the mahogany bar, capped with red Connemara marble, follows the classic Victorian architectural pattern. Tucked down Dame Court just off Dame Street, The Stag's Head is one of those rare pubs that feels genuinely historic rather than designed to look old. The building dates to the late 1800s, and the interior retains the ornate features of a classic Victorian "gin palace"--rich carved wood, stained glass, brass rails, and a warm, glowing bar that feels wonderfully preserved. We stopped in around 4:30 pm, which turned out to be a perfect time to visit. There were other patrons enjoying drinks and food, but the atmosphere was calm and relaxed rather than loud or rowdy. It felt like the kind of place where locals drop in for a quiet pint on their way home from work before the evening crowd arrives. The staff were excellent--friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was very good (we failed to take photos because we were too busy enjoying it). As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to see the Impossible burger front and center on their menu; it was deliciously prepared with guacamole on a brioche bun, and not an afterthought on the menu. My companions both chose the Irish Beef Burger, and said it was excellent. One thing to know: this is a traditional Victorian pub, so cocktails aren't really part of the program. Expect beer, wine, or spirits rather than mixed drinks. In a place like this, that actually feels exactly right. Other pubs do serve mixed drinks. Between the history, the ambience, the quality of the food, and the wonderful staff, The Stag's Head is the kind of place that makes you feel like you've experienced a real piece of Dublin.

Loved our Guinness, but the fish and chips were maybe the worst we have ever had. The fish was gray (not flaky, forget even being fluffy) and oily/greasy. The mushy peas were flavorful and the chips were great and we thoroughly enjoyed them with our pints. The burger looked terrific but tasted like two dried meat pucks with cheese. Might be one of the worst burgers I have ever eaten. I'm not sure if the food quality was this bad because we arrived so late in the evening or if it was because we were not the local patrons, either way it was really disappointing as our first meal in Dublin. Maybe go for a pint or maybe go earlier in the day but definitely don't go at night expecting the food to be good. Three stars because the servers were friendly enough, though nobody checked in once our meals were dropped off. I've traveled all over Ireland and this service and experience was lackluster at best.

Got the vegetarian sharing platter between two, and although we were happy enough with the prospect of spending €21 between us, what was to come probably warranted a far higher price. I'm talking multiple pots of hummus/ pestos, I'm talking melt-in-your-mouth bruschetta, I'm talking a big dish of cheesy ratatouille... garlicy baby potatoes... buffalo mozzarella... and piles & piles of soft, fresh bread. Last night my friend and I ate here and I have to say it was gorgeous. We shared a crab claw starter - fresh and perfectly poached in garlic butter and served with fresh crusty bread (which I couldn't eat but my friend said it was amazing!) I surely missed a piece of bread to dunk in all that garlicky butter! I went for the burger for main course, no bun! It arrived smothered in crispy bacon, melted cheese and chorizo pieces. Huge and very meaty (no added anything, just beef!) I couldn't finish it. Accompanied by really really good "thrice fried" fries, salad and coleslaw, very very tasty My friend went for fillet of beef. Now we asked before we ordered was it Definetely a fillet as she had been before and was not given fillet. We were told yes it was! The (really lovely) waitress even checked with the chef but when it arrived it was not fillet, sirloin at best but not fillet. Tasty but with some fat running through it which both my friend and I abhor!! Charging €24 for a steak advertised as fillet and serving another cut is not acceptable in my opinion. However, it was tasty (I tried it too) and perfectly cooked. Accompanied by onions and mushrooms in garlic cream sauce and served with a huge bowl of salad that was a mix of leaves, tender stem brocolli, cucumber and warm baby roast potatoes drizzled in honey mustard dressing. Delish! We had a bottle of white wine recommended to us which was delicious. When we finished our main, we waited 20 mins for anyone to come to the table to clear and offer dessert menu but this did not happen. I went to the bar to ask for water and dessert menu and after another 10 mins a waiter came with (horrible) tap water and told us the 2 dessert options. As neither worked for me we ended up opting for an Irish coffee each. Overall, it was lovely and I will absolutely go back again, there is a duck option on the menu I've my eye on to try next time!
