To those of you whom never set foot at a 5.11 store or don't know what it means, allow me to give…read moreyou some insight. The term 5.11 originated from the climbing/mountain world to indicate the highest rock climbing difficulty level. However, now there are even higher levels, 5.12, up to 5.14. This store has equipment, apparel and gear for the serious outdoors/adventure- rough-tuff, serious-bad ass person. Their products are primarily targeted for military personnel, law enforcement, first responders, firefighters or serious outdoor survivalists. I have purchased several items from 5.11 since its early inception due to my long years of service in the USMC from 1998 to 2007. Many of the gear I have from 5.11 have endured the test of time, combat and rough terrain. Today, I still purchased their products since they also have a wide choice of urban, city wear with unique and versatile use.

On 01/04/2026, I attempted to contact the company through their website and received no response. After waiting several more days, I followed up via email and still heard nothing. At that point, it had been 21 days since placing the order with zero updates, and I had no way of knowing if or when my order would ship. Due to the lack of communication, I filed a chargeback through my bank. Only after the chargeback was filed did I finally receive a response. While the explanation involved shipping delays, the response that followed was unprofessional and hostile, blaming me for disputing the charge rather than acknowledging the lack of communication that led to it. The tone of that email was completely inappropriate for customer service. I understand delays happen, especially with small businesses, but leaving customers in the dark and then responding rudely when they protect themselves financially is unacceptable. Clear updates and professional communication would have prevented this situation entirely. Based on the lack of communication and the rude response I received, I would not recommend doing business with GTFOverland.

Employees were walking around looking miserable and completely uninterested in helping customers. Even once we finally got someone's attention, it took forever just to have shoes brought out for us to try on. But the most ridiculous part was when we actually tried to make a purchase. The shoes we wanted were marked with a "CLEARANCE" tag, yet when we went to check out, there was no clearance price or discount applied. When I questioned it, I was told they apparently hadn't determined what the clearance discount was yet and could offer me 5% off. If you don't know what the clearance price is, perhaps don't put a clearance tag on the merchandise. Offering 5% off at that point was insulting. We walked out without purchasing anything and I'll never return. This is why online shopping is taking over. These stores do not offer any type of customer service.

Plenty of parking at its surrounding area. First time here. I didn't know what to expect. It's basically a store with a great assortment of clothing, shoes, and other merchandises at discounted prices. Huge interior space. Very clean and bright. Organized racks and shelves. I saw some big brands such as Nike, Adidas, Under Armour and more. I was informed they add new arrivals and markdowns items throughout the month. It's good to check back often for the newest savings. Wow, I was impressed with the massive inventory of goods! The only downside is the limited availability of various sizes. I saw some nice Nike sweaters, but they were all small. I need a large. Towards the end of my visit, I did buy a couple comfy beach blankets at very reasonable prices. Love the design and its softness! I plan to use one blanket at a festival and maybe gift the other one to my friend. Staff was really nice and friendly. Service was great. I'll sure to be back to catch their off season merch. If you haven't visited GGG, do drop by and check out their incredible prices and deals before they are gone!

Their…read moreselection for that category was a little limited but honestly it did not matter because Brian completely made the experience. From the start he was super approachable easy to talk to and very non judgmental which I really appreciated especially since I personally know nothing about airsoft guns. Brian took the time to walk us through the models my boyfriend was interested in and even checked which other stores had certain ones in stock when his own store did not. There was zero pressure to buy something that was not the right fit. He explained how different pistols and revolvers work including loading unloading and general handling in a way that was clear and not overwhelming. I never felt talked down to or brushed off even though I was very clearly not the knowledgeable one in the room. Overall Brian was just genuinely helpful and patient and made what could have been an intimidating experience feel easy and comfortable.

The downside was that during my visit, not a single employee asked if I needed help or checked in to see if I was finding everything okay. Customer service wasn't unfriendly, it just felt absent. A simple greeting or offer of assistance would have gone a long way. Overall, it was an okay shopping experience, but the lack of customer engagement kept it from being a higher rating.
