Figured we'd go wander in and check it out. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the owner who was extremely warm and friendly. We chatted about the fudge, he answered questions, and offered us samples as well. Between the 3 of us, we bought five or six pieces and tried some interesting ones. There is a mango habanero fudge, which is actually pretty good. Right now I am obsessed with the watermelon fudge. That is my favorite, and a close second is the raspberry cheesecake. The owner also sells the fudge at Bright Oak Meats in Springfield. Which is nice if I'm craving some and don't want to drive far. But honestly, the owner was so warm and friendly, I'd drive to Creswell just to pick up more from him directly. He made the experience even better. Would I return? Next week! Like I'm already planning a trip when I have time to go back. This is such a great local business where the owner takes pride in his work, as well as taking customer service very seriously. Then, for years it was one of two places I both wanted to go to and take people to experience each time I visited. Now that I live here again, I strangely only get delivery. However, even saying the name brings on a childish grin (and possibly happy tears) to my eyes! It doesn't hurt that their key lime tart is my favorite dessert not called sorbet of all time. The earl grey filling was nice, smooth and citrusy. The passionfruit chocolate was really cute, kinda had the look of a quail egg shell. The filling was a bit more sour compared to the earl grey one. But in general both chocolates were quite similar. My partner had the zucchini pound cake, and he loved it a lot.
