I was looking for something truly "Oregon local" to take as souvenirs for my family and friends in Japan last November, and I ordered several boxes of the Oregon Berry Wine truffles. Unfortunately, the shipping company accidentally delivered my order to the wrong address. While I was stressing about whether the chocolates would arrive in time for my trip, I reached out to Euphoria Chocolate Company. They responded immediately and, without hesitation, offered to resend my entire order at no cost. Even after the original shipment eventually made its way to my house and I offered to pay for the additional products, they insisted on honoring the second shipment as an early Christmas gift. As a small locally owned business, I know that every order matters. I was truly touched by their kindness, generosity, and professionalism throughout our communication. I was excited to visit the store as I remember enjoying the chocolate when they had a place at Salem Center, but the service left a lot to be desired. No acknowledgment when we came in, no greeting when it was our turn and no thank you when we paid. I'll stick to the happy ladies at See's. read more

I really wasn't a fan of the chocolate from this place and I tried a handful of items and samples. The staff wasn't the friendliness and it felt like they wanted us to order quickly and leave even though no one else was there. The chocolate itself is overpriced and way too sweet. I stumbled upon this place in the newish 5th Market Place (I'm unclear if this is a new location or a relocation of the Willamette Street location) while waiting for my table at a nearby restaurant. It's a cute little chocolate shop and I love chocolates, so I couldn't resist. The wine truffles immediately caught my eye when I walked in and I couldn't leave empty handed. I also noticed they sold Oregon themed chocolate bars--dark chocolate raspberry filled Portland, UofO milk chocolate sport bar, milk chocolate & caramel Oregon Coast and a simple plain milk chocolate Oregon bar. What a cute concept. I left the shop just a little bit poorer but rich with chocolate truffles--a wine sampler of syrah, pinot noir & pinot gris plus a berry wine sampler of blackberry, blueberry, strawberry & raspberry. They did not have an 8 pack sampler available for purchase, so she said she packed one for me. I also purchased the dark chocolate espresso beans...I am a sucker for expresso beans! read more

Staff was kind and helpful. I went the week before Christmas and it was packed in there! Parking lot is small, but there's also street parking. It's a small shop inside and stuff is all over. There was discounted chocolate, but it was expired 2 months prior. Not entirely sure who would want old chocolate at still a high price. Maybe donate it, or throw away.. not sure about that. The line was wrapped thru so it was hard to just look for chocolate pieces and bagged items due to being in the way of others. Will have to visit again when it's not the holiday rush. I got dark chocolate covered espresso beans which we love and they are delicious. I thought the price was fair and the bag was large for the amount too. I finally visited their newer 5th street location and I think this is a perfect little spot for them. Since 5th Street Alley is a popular destination for visitors, a lot of people who live outside of Eugene are going to learn about this awesome business and their chocolate. It was a hot summer day so I picked up an ice cream bar dipped in dark chocolate. For only 55 additional cents you can get it coated in something, so I chose toffee. I found Euphoria Chocolate on my way out of town with the intent of finding a quick apology gift for a colleague--nothing beats chocolate--but when I arrived, there were so many interesting selections that I ended up buying more. The truffles looked amazing and after taking a sample of the dark chocolate base, I knew i had to take some home to my kids and sneak a few for myself, as well. Their first experience with a chocolate truffle had to be a good one! The gentleman behind the counter was incredibly helpful and answered the dozens of questions I had about flavors and their production process. They mix a high quality cream into their dark chocolate so that there is no bitter taste. They create a smooth, silky texture that doesn't feel trick or heavy in your mouth. The decadence is not overwhelming like others I've had. I will definitely visit Euphoria the next time I'm in Eugene and try some of the intriguing spicy flavors that I didn't have the guts to try last time. read more

YUM YUM YUM!! I have honestly been avoiding going into this place because I knew I would get hooked...and I was right. They have SO many options, and each chocolate truffle is only $2.95, so it makes it hard not to buy 2, 3, 4, or more! They also have frozen banana ice cream that you can dip in chocolate, nuts and other options, as well as regular ice cream that you can do the same with! I went with a group of 4 of us, and we all tried to get different things to try stuff out since none of us had been there. I got the Chocolate Birthday Cake Truffle and it was very good! The chocolate was a very strong taste (which I love) and I really wanted to get more than one, but my friend was buying so I felt like I shouldn't this time. My friend got the Hazelnut Chocolate truffle which he loved (hazelnut is one of Eugene's specialties after all. My husband got the frozen banana "ice cream" dipped in chocolate and peanuts and loved it! Our other friend got the regular ice cream dipped in chocolate and nuts and then a truffle to take home to his wife! Everyone was very satisfied and even the inside of the place is nice to just look around and sit in! They have lots of local artwork in there. If you don't feel like sitting, just take a stroll around downtown Eugene while you're eating your delicious new addiction that is the Euphoria Chocolate Company. read more

Just received my very own shipment minutes ago. I have heard great things about this place, even sent some as a gift, last year to a sibling. Shipping alone was $18.99 for four (4) Hazelnut truffles & a rocky road. Upon opening the package, it was warm. Today reached 67°f The cooling/ gel packs? were warm. We both had a truffle upon arrival, even had a nibble of the rocky road. It was nothing special, almost go as far as to say the hazelnuts slightly tasted off. ??? I absolutely love Euphoria Chocolate Company!! There are so many amazingly good items here. I must say my favorites are the chocolate covered bananas with nuts and the chocolate dipped vanilla ice cream bar with nuts. The locations are convenient, clean, and the staff are always friendly. I love walking downtown Eugene and stopping in to the Willamette St. Euphoria for a treat. Sometimes it's nice to stop in to Sizzle Pie for pizza and then head to Euphoria for desert. Mmm, truffles! I had heard about Euphoria and had been wanting to try it. I was walking around downtown and saw that they opened this new location so I had to pop in! They had a very wide variety of truffle flavors as well as other packaged chocolates and treats. I couldn't decide on just one so I had to get two truffles! I settled on coconut and an Oregon mint one. The coconut was really creamy and rich, although for a coconut truffle I didn't actually taste much coconut. But the chocolate creamy interior was so yummy! I haven't actually tried the mint one yet (I'm saving it for later) but I'm sure it is delicious as well! The man behind the counter was very nice as well and answered my questions about some of the flavors. Overall I definitely recommend stopping in here if you need a chocolate fix. read more

Delicious gourmet chocolates in downtown Eugene. Delectable choices and look for specials too on the list of flavors posted on the wall as those are different from what you may see in the showcase. Hazelnut truffle is our favorite but I also like amaretto. Huge size truffles for a good price. As with most chocolates, consume immediately or keep cool until consumed. They also have prepackaged chocolates that are different from the ones in the showcases. Great place for a treat, dessert, snack or gifts. read more

Very nice little shop. The chocolates are EXPENSIVE, but they're very large for what you would typically get elsewhere (the truffle had the heft of a candy bar). The chocolate display cases are refrigerated, too, so you'll get a cool, refreshing treat (that will also gather lots of condensation immediately if it is a humid day). The quality seems good, but not great. You can also get ice cream bars dipped in their fresh chocolate. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the neighborhood. read more

She was so rude, I worked at Schocolat for 5 years before moving to Eugene to fulfill my small time business owner dreams, we thought we would ttake our friends who came to visit us... to this euphoria chocolate... let's just say the worst customer service of my life;was not worth the mediocre chocolate they were serving. The tone in her voice was so unpleasent, she kept asking if that's was it, after every chocolate we ordered, then saying UHH OKAY? the chocolate might have tasted a little better MAYBE if she was a little kinder, but there was really no hope I'll neverr step foot in this chocolate store again, and neither should anyone else, unless your trying to have an awful experience. read more

I've ordered chocolates many times for myself and as gifts. The staff in Eugene are so friendly and helpful, I love calling in. I recently purchased a gift card for a friend and she loved it. We arrived in the shop at 2 pm on a Sunday. They close at 3 pm. There was nobody in the shop except the clerk. I waited at the counter for approximately a minute without being acknowledged as she worked at straightening up with her back to me. I finally said, "I need some truffles." Do I want them in a bag? No, I was going to put them in my pocket. Of course I wanted a bag. I start picking out a half dozen truffles and some other candy. I had my 7 yo and 3 yo with me. At one point my 7 yo is pointing excitedly to what she wants and has both hands on the glass. The clerk tells my daughter to keep her hands off the glass. Really?!!! I would have walked out if we hadn't parked a few blocks away and walked to the store. We put a lot of effort into getting there. I completed my $20 purchase and left. The management really needs to have a talk with the hired help about customer service. Never an acknowledgement, never a smile, not even a thank you as I was leaving. I had been wanting to give their ice cream a try since the last time I had a dipped ice cream was at Dairy Queen when I was 10 and believe me it doesn't even compare to this amazingness. My mom and I came in here to cool off on a hot day and since she's from out of town I wanted to show her a local chocolate shop. We saw that the ice cream was only around $3.50 (which included the almond coating for 55 cents). We decided to share one and oh my goodness was it good. The almonds were crunchy, the chocolate was smooth and the vanilla ice cream was creamy.
