Daniel came by to our home, he spends a good amount of time discussing our options and invited us to their show room. I was impressed by his knowledge of construction and attention to details; it turned out that he is a civil engineer which was reinsuring to me that I am dealing with professionals. We met Robert at their office and he explained the approach to initiate and construct and complete the project and financial milestones. Daniel and Robert are both very professional friendly and patient and answered all our questions and gave us good consultation. We ordered our kitchen with them. Their support throughout this project from start ordering the cabinets from Italy to manufacturing, shipping and final installation and completion of the work was great. They both were very responsive and caring. They were on the job site every day of the project and paid a great deal of attention to the workmanship and ensured smooth progress of the work. Their team of installer were on time and cleaned up after their work. We got one of the most beautiful stylish kitchens that there is out there, everyone who sees it is impressed by quality, workmanship, and the style. It took a long time but it was well worth it. On my first project I had drawn up, I sent plans to several contractors and got a range of quotes all way out of budget. I sent my plans to Rub and he estimated the project cost out to a fraction of the other bids. I accepted the bid but was weary of the accuracy of the estimate so I kept a running spreadsheet of all material and labor costs. Despite a few unforeseen hiccups along the way, Rob's estimate was accurate within 3% of the final project cost. I've since had him do every major project we can come up with and have seen Rob singlehandedly do the work of a team of contractors. He keeps sub-contractors honest and if I throw one his way who seem to be dragging their feet, he would rather do the work himself then watch us get ripped off. If you live in his area (I don't any more), his team of guys and sub contractors are reliable, fast and very skilled. If you don't live in his area, see if you can convince Rob to come out and do your job- it's always been worth it for us. Can't recommend Helling Construction enough.

We hired Navid to replace the carpet in our living room with LVP flooring. I received several…read morequotes, most from flooring companies, but Navid was the only general contractor. His pricing was significantly lower, and he also offered to handle additional work such as upgrading our fireplace and adding kitchen lighting, which made the proposal appealing. I'll start by saying this, if your main goal is to get a job completed quickly and cost-effectively, and you're not overly concerned with fine details or specialty level craftsmanship, Navid may be a reasonable option. The flooring was installed and the fireplace was upgraded. We ultimately decided not to proceed with the lighting after seeing the quality of work, though he was willing to do it. For us, there were two main issues. First, flooring quality and attention to detail. The cuts around complex areas, particularly where the flooring meets the stairs, were uneven and covered with molding rather than being cut cleanly to match the angles. Flooring specialists typically handle these transitions more precisely, you can see every picture posted by flooring company, no molding is used where LVP meets the stairs. Additionally, the installation process lacked care for the finished surfaces. There was no floor protection used, and Navid + his helper walked across the new planks in regular shoes. As a result, we noticed scratches and small chips very early on. The subfloor was also not leveled, which led to minor bounce in several areas over time. Where the flooring meets tile in other rooms, there is a visible slope and noticeable sinking when stepped on. These issues became more apparent after the project was completed, and while they may not bother everyone, they were significant for us. I've added some photos to show this. Second, a professionalism issue during the job. One area with a noticeable dip was partially leveled (per my request) during installation. However, leftover concrete was poured onto our property and into the sidewalk without our consent. This led to a heated disagreement, including an inappropriate threat of placing a lien on our home. The explanation given was that this was done to "help" by stabilizing loose rocks, but the situation and how it was handled were very disappointing. We settled the matter at the end but it was very disappointing for this to happen.

I needed someone of fairly short notice to remodel a bathroom so it was more handicap friendly. I was able to meet with Paul within a day or two of calling them, and he gave me an estimate the next day for what we discussed. The remodeling went really quickly. Demo took less than a day, and while some of the major work needed had to be spread over a couple of days, they always called me to let me know what days and times to expect them. We ran into some termite damage that needed repairing once the demo had opened the walls, but after that things went pretty quickly. All of the crew guys were friendly, prompt, and really knew their stuff, particularly the tile layer, Greg. He helped me out when the tile I had initially picked didn't look as good as he thought it should, and offered great suggestions on design. All of the workmen cleaned up after themselves every day, so there was a minimum of dust and disturbance to the house. The work did get delayed beyond our initial projection, but that was primarily because Home Depot screwed up the vanity top order. That set us back nearly two weeks. Otherwise we would have finished right around the time originally estimated. They are also helping me straighten out some other issues in the house regarding our electric wiring and a patio cover that needs to be torn down. I plan to hire them in the future for these jobs once I can recover from the finances of having to remodel the bathroom on such short notice. Over all, a GREAT experience. He quoted me a very fair price and got to work right when he said he would as well as finishing within the time frame he gave me. Excellent work! Super professional and very prompt.
