This is an update from my previous post which dies not appear on my end anymore: Ami has now taken down his website: bhremodelinganddesign.com. Before he did this I was able to reverse image search and discovered he had taken pictures other contractors work and claimed it as his own. He also created fake 5 Star reviews by taking random people's images from the internet. I have already informed the victims. Ami continues to ignore communications from BBB, CSLB, and my attorney. I continue to get visits from unpaid contractors. Life is miserable. I haver recently discovered that Ami is not the owner of BH Remodeling. I highly recommend anyone out there look his license up. We contracted Ami at BH Remodeling for a kitchen remodel in October, 2021. Now, almost entering May 2022, we still do not have a finished kitchen. On top of that, this evening we were visited by one of Ami's sub-contractors looking for Ami because he has not been paid (like what a previous review stated) and threatening us with a mechanic's lien to be compensated. Fun. Ami is a personable guy and seems well-intentioned, but our experience in this remodel has been extremely disappointing, frustrating, and filled with regrets. · Quality of Work: Nearly all items completed in our remodel have needed to be done multiple times. Cabinets were installed and have been repeatedly scratched/dented and over half of the doors/drawers have needed to be replaced during the project duration. Drywall has been redone multiple times, exterior stucco patching has been attempted several times, floor trim was installed incorrectly, etc. · Workers: The workers Ami utilizes have almost always been unhappy, openly speaking poorly of Ami and expressed that they are always paid late or warn that Ami will leave our project unfinished · Communication: Getting ahold of Ami is a complete crapshoot. Early in the project he was responsive, but he quickly became difficult to get ahold of via call/text/email for days at a time. As the project has progressed, we have sometimes gone 1-2 weeks without hearing from Ami while our kitchen remains unfinished, often with garbage/work material piled up beside our home. · Progress: Ami set a very unrealistic estimate for completing our project, so we expected some delays. The project has gone months beyond initial estimates with days/weeks passing without any progress at all. The pandemic has been a constant go-to reason for delays, even if some tasks require material that could be obtained from Home Depot at a moment's notice. · Concern/Respect for your home: Ami's attitude has quickly gone from seemingly laid-back to just being unconcerned. Even after expressing our frustration repeatedly, Ami has continued to have no issue leaving our home in a state of construction for over half a year. We have also repeatedly had changes made which have affected other parts of the home (Exterior, adjacent rooms, etc.) based on Ami, or his workers', personal decisions and no discussing with us, the homeowners. As of this moment, I would suggest steering clear of this disaster. I am sure Ami is completing other projects with more care and concern, but why risk having yours not be one of them? read more

We found BH Remodeling & Design online, did some background checks, and didn't waste any time to call and set an appointment for a complete backyard remodel, driveway and master suite addition. Ami came over within the same week, listened carefully to what we wanted, he gave us great design alternatives to our original plan and did the very best to make it a reality. The crews were fantastic, highly skilled, and diligent as well. They were present 5 days a week, some of the days until late in the day and always brought up questions so we can make a decision on the items we werent sure in the design process. The entire project didn't go over the budget although we face some field conditions that made us do some design and material change. We love our amazing new larger home and backyard. We will happily recommend BH Remodeling & Design to anyone. read more

This is an update to my previous review. After I posted the review, Ami contacted me and wanted to apologize and fix the things that went wrong. He did finish the project and he understood how I felt about the whole process of the renovation and how things went down. He was there for the finishing touches this time. He told me that he wanted to make things right whether I paid him the last payment or not which I didn't. He finished the renovation, it all looks great. Still doesn't take what I went through but the house looks amazing. Sometimes people do deserve a second chance or just an opportunity to make things right. read more

Most Horrible contractor. Never take his service. Ami is a fraud. He overcharged us and left our spa and pool in messed up shape. They have been leaking since last 1 and a half years. He never responds to any calls or messages. He is not the owner of Bh Remodeling and Design. He has shut down his website too. Not sure why Yelp is still promoting such cheaters. Ami and BH crew were amazing! I chose BH Remodeling to do our Kitchen, master br and flooring after getting multiple quotes from other companies. When I called for a quote they were quick to respond and Ami came out the following day to go over everything. I felt confident that we were both on the same page and everything was done in a very professional and timely manner. The communication was above standard as Ami was always available to answer calls and texts which was my main concern as I'm traveling out of town often for work and didn't want to worry about issues while I was gone! We had a small remodeling in our kitchen apartment. We had 2 estimates before and decided to go with Ami with BH Remodeling. From the first meeting he was honest and gave us the facts on what we can and can't do. Ami Was always available to answer any question/texts we have even if it was after working hours or weekends! Left my job unfinished. Promised licensed sub contractors and also contract stated sub contractors would be licensed. They were not. Job was a disaster. Sub contractors complaining they weren't paid. Things done incorrectly or incomplete. Lack of effective management of job. 2k of materials that I had paid for and his subs picked up but couldn't unload because it was too heavy for the one guy Ami had that day. Large porcelain slabs Sat in the bed of sub contractors truck for two days and one night. Sub contractor brought his wife on the job to hang out because she didn't have to work that day and she wanted to use my computer to fill out an online application. BH remodeling took our unused huge bathtub area and our shower and turned it into a fantastic Sauna and Steam/Shower which we absolutely have become addicted to. We looked at several pics before we decided on the design and ended up with a gorgeous Spa. Ami will always stand by his word and will complete the job the way you want it. He added many additional items he thought would enhance the look and did not charge us for it. His materials were top notch and we could not be happier with the finished product. Ami will always be a friend of our family now as we got to know him and his team and we are grateful that they created the best part of our house for us in the absolute transformation of our master bath into a fantastic Spa. My wife and I were looking into remodeling our kitchen since we moved in about 7 months ago. A family member recommended us to meet with BH remodeling & design so we called and scheduled a meeting with Ami. At that point we had 4 estimated from different contractors. Ami was really professional and creative and due to his recommendation we change the initial design we had in mind. Our kitchen remodeling took less then 6 weeks which was a week faster then original completion date. Even though we changed our mind during the remodeling about the tiles and some appliances locations which added an addition couple of days. We have gutted the entire kitchen and removed couple of walls to get more of an open space. We have 3 kids and we were living there the all time, they relocated some old cabinets into the garage and created a temporary kitchen. Ami and everybody in this company are really professional and polite. We are really happy with our brand new kitchen. It looks amazing! We would definitely recommend them to our friends and family.
