Fair Price, Reliable Service…read more Boy did I get lucky. I recently purchased a home that hadn't been updated since the 80's. It needed new flooring, painting, lighting and the kitchen and bathrooms were a complete gut job. I interviewed four contractors. Not only was Vartan the lowest bidder, unlike the others his bid also included materials. I saved thousands of dollars and the hassle of shopping for all the materials. He set up a very fair payment schedule that didn't require me to put up half before he started. I live in a planned community and had a very tight timeline for completion in addition to requirements from the HOA. Hearing so many horror stories about unscrupulous contractors I had concerns about everything being completed on time. Vartan is the most reliable contractor I've ever met. He delivered everything he promised and more. He was a pleasure to work with. His work crews were always on time and left the work space clean each day. Vartan went above and beyond to make sure my style was reflected in the renovations. I appreciated his suggestions. In many cases his selections looked better and cost less than what I had picked. He even did a few extra things he knew I would like. He didn't try to gouge me to make extra money. What he quoted was what I paid except for extras I requested after work began. He even came back for touch ups and additional electrical work after I moved in. I couldn't have asked for a less stressful experience. Thank you Vartan for making my home look so beautiful. Everything came out better than I had hoped.

I only marked "maybe" instead of "no" when I was asked if I recomend this business because the…read moreworker was nice and the price was significantly lower than what others were quoting. Also, he genuinely seemed like he was trying to be helpful. However, I haven't been able to fully determine the quality of his workmanship but my limited experience with him did raise some concerns. For example, I asked for an estimate, but instead of providing a quote first, he started working and I only found out what I would be charged after he had already cut into the drywall and begun looking for the issue. Fortunately, the cost wasn't terribly expensive, so I was okay with the process. My bigger concern was that a significant portion of the time I paid for seemed to be spent fixing things that he accidentally broke while he was working, rather than addressing the original issue I called him for. About three to four hours were spent repairing a pipe under the sink that he accidentally cut, as well as fixing a jammed faucet that I had not called for service on. That didn't include the hour spent driving to get the parts and obtain the tools needed to fix the things he broke. Also, it seemed like he wasn't fully prepared with the tools needed for the job, hence he has to run out to get them. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and overlook these inefficiencies, but I ultimately changed my mind because he seemed too busy for me or busy with other jobs. Communication was another concern, as his text responses were quite delayed. To be fair, he was extremely nice and made an effort to help, and I appreciated that. I just didn't come away with a strong enough feeling of confidence or trust in the workmanship. Ultimately, I decided to find someone else to complete the job. The other company was more expensive, but the difference in professionalism, preparation, communication, and overall workmanship was definitely noticeable.

At the end of August we had a kitchen overflow due to a soft clog overflow in our kitchen sink…read more Through the months of September and October, I was getting challenged by an insurance agent that was lowballing me and a contractor that was overcharging me for the same work without any justification. After enough going back and forth, I decided it was time to pursue a better contractor - one that I could actually trust and I would know they would deliver on a new kitchen. This is when we met Dustin at Sekoya Construction. From our first interactions, he was very respectful and easy to talk to. He understood the issues we were facing and stayed within our budget. Not only that, but the crew he brought to the home was just as cordial and respectful as well. I never met a team like Dustin's where I got to know everyone on a first name basis and trust was so easily established. After a few weeks of quick work (including working around Thanksgiving), the team was able to put our kitchen back together before the Christmas holiday. My family and I cannot thank Sekoya Construction enough. We love our new cabinets and countertops!! It was a long few months to get to this point, but it was worth it. In the end, we got a brand new kitchen and a new friend in Dustin. I have no hesitancy recommending Sekoya Construction to any friends and family. There is no better team in the area.

They took our dated kitchen from the 80s, and gave us a beautiful show piece for us to enjoy. Every cabinet is square and level, every door/drawer is perfectly lined up.
