We hired Navid to replace the carpet in our living room with LVP flooring. I received several quotes, most from flooring companies, but Navid was the only general contractor. His pricing was significantly lower, and he also offered to handle additional work such as upgrading our fireplace and adding kitchen lighting, which made the proposal appealing. I'll start by saying this, if your main goal is to get a job completed quickly and cost-effectively, and you're not overly concerned with fine details or specialty level craftsmanship, Navid may be a reasonable option. The flooring was installed and the fireplace was upgraded. We ultimately decided not to proceed with the lighting after seeing the quality of work, though he was willing to do it. For us, there were two main issues. First, flooring quality and attention to detail. The cuts around complex areas, particularly where the flooring meets the stairs, were uneven and covered with molding rather than being cut cleanly to match the angles. Flooring specialists typically handle these transitions more precisely, you can see every picture posted by flooring company, no molding is used where LVP meets the stairs. Additionally, the installation process lacked care for the finished surfaces. There was no floor protection used, and Navid + his helper walked across the new planks in regular shoes. As a result, we noticed scratches and small chips very early on. The subfloor was also not leveled, which led to minor bounce in several areas over time. Where the flooring meets tile in other rooms, there is a visible slope and noticeable sinking when stepped on. These issues became more apparent after the project was completed, and while they may not bother everyone, they were significant for us. I've added some photos to show this. Second, a professionalism issue during the job. One area with a noticeable dip was partially leveled (per my request) during installation. However, leftover concrete was poured onto our property and into the sidewalk without our consent. This led to a heated disagreement, including an inappropriate threat of placing a lien on our home. The explanation given was that this was done to "help" by stabilizing loose rocks, but the situation and how it was handled were very disappointing. We settled the matter at the end but it was very disappointing for this to happen. read more

Got flooring done with Navid, clear communication in the beginning and he came promptly to provide quote. We agreed on the work and he did amazing job replacing the failing hardwood.
