Only 4 years in and I have paint peeling and chipping down to the wood. An experienced contractor told me that they likely cut corners and didn't wait long enough for the primer to dry fully before painting. I spoke to the manager and he said: "At this point, the project is outside any reasonable workmanship responsibility. Our work was performed professionally and according to the agreed scope at the time." Even though it's only been 4 years. How quickly would the paint have to peel for it to be inside of a "reasonable workmanship responsibility" - it lasted less than 1/3 of the time the manufacturer of the paint said it would last! Proof is in the pudding, look at the pic, this is just one spot out of many that are like this. Instead of offering to come by and do some touch-ups, they just washed their hands clean of the whole thing. Also, he swears that they did 2 coats but they did not. I remember specifically asking if he was going to do 2 coats and he said that 1 would be plenty efficient for this quality of paint. I'm a partially disabled veteran, I don't have the money to be repainting my house every 4 years. I bought a quality paint, expecting it to last the 10-14 years that Behr says it should last, not 4.
