We needed someone to cut/polish the edges of our granite countertop because our original sink had rounded edges and our new sink had rectangular edges. We received a lot of quotes from plumbers for the sink installation but they didn't offer the granite cutting/polishing. Luckily we found MJ Granite and they provided us with an estimate over Yelp for both the sink installation and granite cutting/polishing. I can post those as well. You can't lie about the seems or drip marks. Drip marks have nothing to do with old dirty cabinets. That's your painter. Smudges from too much paint in one spot or their fingers don't either. Wow spilt it up because of cost seriously?! I paid you in increments stated by law with construction, percentages paid by percentages of completed work. You wanted all money upfront and I wouldn't do that. Don't make me post our text messages stating when things would be done or Cesar's lame excuses of why they were lagging. Our party was way after your promised dates and that's why I pushed. One of the times you came to redo the cabinets your guys didn't even put up a barrier. My house was covered in dust, everything covered! AND earthquakes have nothing to do with ugly seems placed wrong, filled in wrong or seals gone after 5 months. read more

This review is only based on the lack of communication from the team. I didn't get the work completed because Iris never got back to me. There was a miscommunication on the work that I needed to be done and Iris informed me that she was waiting for the manager to get back and run the info by him. To this day I haven't heard back from Iris. It's important to get back to the customer even if you cannot work with the customers needs, this way we can move on to a different company. read more

I couldn't say enough about MJ Granite! Iris came out for the consultation about two weeks ago. She brought a board with samples of quartz and granite. We chose a beautiful Calacatta Swan Quartz that had lots of grey and taupe. When the guys showed up I was so unhappy with the quartz since the sinks were going to take away most of the color leaving us with a white counter. We cancelled the installation. After speaking with my husband we called Iris and told her to reschedule and we would make it work. A few days later they came back and the installer's Robert and Angel told me that they went and picked out a new counter since they new I was unhappy with the little pattern the other one had. I was shocked that they did this on their own. The piece they found is exactly what we wanted! I usually don't write any reviews on Yelp but I had to take the time to do this one because MJ granite was AMAZING!! The whole experience from getting the estimate (Iris was on time and very knowledgeable) to getting the work done. They worked with my budget and completely exceeded my expectations. I was told it was going to be a 4 day job and in fact the crew finished it in 3 days. The first crew that came to take care of the countertops was polite and did an amazing job on installing them. The seams are almost invisible! The next crew that came was doing the backsplash (I chose a difficult pattern) so they were very meticulous and took their time to make sure it was completely aligned. The plumbing work was great, we ran into an issue (the faucet I ordered on Wayfair was faulty) so they got me one in less than a day. Overall the experience that I had with MJ Granite was fantastic and I'm definitely recommending them to friends and family. To give you perspective, I got 5 estimated from different companies and they were not as attentive, knowledgeable as MJ Granite was. Things started off well with Cesar and then Bryce for our countertops. Then came day of install... my husband and I were like "where did they find these guys?!!" First they start the day at 1130. One guy didn't speak English and the other was a kid basically helping him that didn't know much. When they vacuumed up, they failed to put a filter on so dust flew everywhere all over our home in a thick layer. Then they put our island on and one side was way longer than the other. A good 3-4". Luckily we caught that and they had to redo it. When trying to take the countertop off again, the kid almost snapped it & the other guy damn near ripped our cabinets out. Then they scuffed another cabinet. We had just paid $30k for these! The day was so upsetting and I didn't even want them coming back but we already paid half down. By 8pm my husband told them to go home & come back tomorrow as we were beat from cleaning their mess after I spent all day at work. The next day went much smoother thankfully and the countertops look great now. Bryce was there making sure everything was up to standard and gave us small compensation for the cleaning we had to do. The 2nd day is why I still gave 3 stars. But if I had gone off day 1, it would been 1 star. Thankfully it all turned out ok. read more
