Front start to finish, Mike Gast and Juan Navarro worked with me to translate my vision into the bright open studio I have been dreaming of... As the project manager, Mike Gast was extremely patient and accommodating, and provided lots of feedback to solve various issues. This was a large project that involved removing the garage door, retrofitting 3 sets of doors, framing and finishing for a custom look, inside and out. They even installed special thresholds so we could be assured of being able to roll equipment in and out of the space easily. After each stage of the job, the crew cleaned up the area and removed all debris. The price quoted us initially was in line with competitors, better than several, who failed to follow up with us. There was no cost-creep, and we finished at the price quoted us. Progress and payment was tracked on their online job project site, which was an added benefit and inspired confidence. I can highly recommend Mastercraft and hope to use them in the near future for several other home improvement projects. The installation itself was completed on schedule, but I was left to clean everything up afterward. The crew did not clean, and after I pointed out a few issues, they did come back and address them. That said, there were quality concerns, such as using gray nails on a black garage component and not installing an edger. I also added an item that their installer did not complete. When I later requested a quote for two additional closets, I was upfront and transparent that I planned to get three quotes. I was then told I would have to pay $100 for a quote because I had used a competitor for other projects in my home. I found this unreasonable and unprofessional.

The only response we received was a text message stating that if we wanted the problems fixed, they would need to send someone else--and that it would cost us extra. This is completely unacceptable. I will never recommend this business to anyone. Overall, a very disappointing and frustrating experience.

When I sent pictures over to Johnny of our kitchen before he couldn't believe I wanted to change the counter tops and back splash. But even though it looked nice there were a ton of imperfections. So when Johnny came by he noticed a lot of "mickey mouse" things the flipper did to the house, dishwasher in the wrong place, sink not in the center, etc. So we ended up changing our lay out to be the correct way. Not only were these reactions to me, but to my wife, and to the general contractor (who now swears to not work with Ron again as it came to reflect poorly on him too). It would be too tiring to break the whole process down and list all of the mistakes. But, as another reviewer here mentioned, Ron became "too busy" to correct their last set of mistakes so we decided to move on. And guess what? The next guy got it spot on, first time, with a smile on his face. It's called professionalism.
