We hired Kathleen to transform our garage into a small ADU, and we truly couldn't be happier with the outcome! Kathleen is a mastermind at what she does and really values quality and attention to detail. Working with such a small space was no easy task, but she had a solution for everything. Throughout the entire process, she offered thoughtful advice and creative ideas that helped us make the most of every inch. She made what could have been an overwhelming project feel so much easier. The finished space is not only beautiful, but incredibly functional. Everyone who has seen the unit is amazed by the design and attention to detail, and we constantly get compliments on how well the space was utilized. Kathleen was also wonderful to communicate with throughout the entire process. We felt heard, supported, and confident in her recommendations from beginning to end. We are so pleased with our ADU and would choose to work with her 1,000 times over. We cannot recommend her enough! read more

We worked with Kathleen Ann Designs to renovate our guest bathroom in February 2023. It was an absolute privilege and we couldn't be more happy with the end result, and how her vision came to life through the renovation. We wholeheartedly recommend Kathleen Ann Designs for anyone seeking an exceptional interior designer! From the outset, Kathy (owner and operator of Kathleen Ann Designs) displayed an extraordinary level of understanding and collaboration. She truly grasped our vision, goals, preferences, time constraints, and budget, and throughout the process, she delivered on every aspect with utmost dedication. Kathy's hands-on approach, combined with her innovative ideas and fresh perspective, resulted in a modern, tasteful, luxurious, and open design for our guest bathroom - a remarkable transformation from its previous state. Our small guest bathroom now stands as a fabulous and relaxing retreat for our guests, all accomplished within budget and directly aligned with our design aesthetics. We could not have dreamed the end result would come out as exceptional as it did, and that is thanks to Kathy's extraordinary vision and design ideas. When working with Kathy, you have a few different packages you can select from ranging from basic consultation to full design and even coordination with the contractor. Opting for the full package, which included project management and coordination with EDW Construction (a company that Kathy works with frequently on many of her projects), proved to be a very wise decision, and well worth the minor additional expense. Kathy skillfully managed the entire renovation, ensuring timely deliveries, meticulous inspections, and seamless coordination with the contractor, resulting in exceptional results within the agreed timeframe and budget. One thing that really distinguish Kathy from other companies we looked at is that she really listened, and she really cared. We weren't just another project for her. She was just as excited as we were as the transformation of our guest bathroom progressed. Kathy is an expert communicator listener, and brings fresh perspective and fabulous design and attention to detail. There is not one oversight under her watch in the end result is exceptional. We are thrilled with the overall experience of working with Kathleen Ann Designs and eagerly anticipate our next renovation where we can partner with Kathy again for another marvelous transformation. We would highly recommend Kathy/Kathleen Ann Designs to anyone interested in transforming their space through exceptional design. No read more

I had the pleasure of working with Kathy in renovating my master bathroom. I didn't know exactly what I wanted except the finish I wanted for the fixtures. Kathy was able to determine the style and color that I was going for and could not put together on my own. Kathy listened and helped me with the selection process to determine what looked best. I have received so many compliments. I could not have achieved this look without her. My biggest problem is determining color and Kathy has given me direction as I plan to update other areas of my home. I will be using Kathy's services again so that I maintain a cohesive design throughout. I highly recommend Kathy. read more

We hired Kathy for 2 bathroom remodels. We started to research on our own, but felt so overwhelmed with picking fixtures, tile, colors, finding a contractor, etc. I found Kathy from a Google search and she came by for a consultation. We gave her complete creative freedom since she's the expert, and she didn't disappoint. We wanted a timeless look but also functional since our home is so small and lacks storage. Kathy did just that. She gave us 2 bathrooms of our dreams with custom vanities and cabinetry that didn't waste any space. We also utilized her recommended contractor who did solid work while also sticking with the quote we were given. Thank you Kathy for your care and thought throughout the whole process! read more

We worked with Kathleen Ann Design on a project over the past 6 months. We originally needed an experienced designer to confirm the decision to remove a couple of walls to increase the views and provide a more open space. Kathy showed up with her assistant, gave us the advice we needed and then spent time with us listening and helping us decide on furniture, fixtures, flooring and paint. (She also gave us advice on the exterior look-something I am insisting she add to her services!) Her communication skills were wonderful and responses were always very timely. She is a good listener, but was not shy about directing me when I would go out on a shaky limb- "this might be a better choice." I will definitely use her services in future projects. Thanks Kathy! read more

Working with Kathleen Ann Design was the most seamless experience I had during the entire remodel of our home. I had a vision and she translated the vision and made it better than the original! I am a busy mom of 4, but I also love pretty things. I wanted a practical kitchen on a day to day basis, yet I wanted the same kitchen to have a sleek design that I could transform and entertain my guests with elegance. One of the things that I was very particular on was having natural materials. The waterfall island is made of a natural quartzite as well as the shelves and walls/back splash. The cabinets are custom oak hardwood. The sink is a nice 42" work horse. Having solid materials makes this kitchen feel timeless! Kathleen made it happen! Kathleen was able to educate me on all the options I had. She offered details that went past the eye. She was so precise and organized. Her communication was continuous and timely. She kept track of the job and regularly took the time to complete site visits to make sure things were coming out as planned. She is extremely knowledgeable and a master of her craft! Obviously, my experience was superb and I cannot recommend her team enough. I look forward to being able to work with her in the near future! 100/100! read more

Where do I begin! Kathy is a gifted designer. Combine that with her incredible work ethic and you end up with the perfect designer. A designer is someone more than just a person that can match colors.... they have to get a feeling for you as a family, for your home and for the space. They have to know how to orient pieces, how to maximize the use of space, lighting and more. In addition to all of this, Kathy is very knowledgeable about contractors and what to expect when you have a bigger job, such as a bathroom demo, kitchen backsplash, etc. Kathy treats your home like it's her own. Her patience and her calm demeanor help you through any concerns you have or that might come up along the way. Don't hesitate to hire her. Your home will be so beautiful, like an HGTV show! Be sure to check out her social medial pages for some stunning and super fun before and after makeovers. Thanks! read more

My husband & I needed to re-do our master bathroom and spent hours and hours searching for tile, bringing it home, setting it up and not being pleased. I remember going to a home of a friend, and told her how great her home made me feel, she said, "Kathleen designed it." I called Kathleen and she came out for a consultation. We told her exactly what we were looking for for our bathroom design. She came back with samples and a rendering, and we were very pleased that she captured our style. Kathleen gave us some ideas we had never thought of to improve the space. We hired her AND her contractor. They kept to the budget and completed the whole bathroom in approximately 6 weeks and kept the bathroom neat and tidy, cleaning up after each work day. We would highly recommend Kathleen Ann Design for any of your remodeling needs. read more

Kathleen Ann Design - Kathy's perfect office design! - Interior Design Near Me - Riverside, California

Selecting Kathy to guide us through our remodel/update was the best decision we could have made. Kathy is a friend who became the consummate design professional. What started as a kitchen update project ballooned into an update of the entire downstairs. Kathy rolled with the seemingly never ending "additions" to our project and skillfully provided advice and guidance to us. Her contractor recommendations for paint, woodwork, electrical, and tile work were all honest and reliable, with no surprises. She coordinated scheduling with each of them and managed any issues that arose. Kathy provided paint and textile samples and made spot on recommendations. She incorporated all reasonable requests into her design plan and tactfully steered us away from any major design blunders. Her signature coffee bar is one of the most used features of our home. When all construction was complete, Kathy finished up with the staging to provide a complete finished project. She primarily used items that we possessed and wanted to display. Everything looks so much better in their new surroundings. We appreciate that Kathy allowed us to be her design "partners" and not only asked our opinion, but really listened to us! We have and would recommend Kathy for any design needs. read more
