My family has been coming here for as long as I can remember, probably 10+ years. We've had to work with new prescriptions that didn't work as intended and some issues here and there, but I can understand that being part of the process when trying to adjust to a new prescription. Recently I had an issue with a set of lenses that the maker had made mistakes with. This was of no fault of Premier but Laura communicated regularly and worked with their provider to hold them accountable and make things right which is all you can ask for when a problem is outside of their hands. Premier Eyecare of Arizona definitely deserves 5 stars. We have gone to this location two times and each time we received outstanding care. The first time my husband had to seek emergency care from Dr Justin Jones. My husband was sanding down some car parts and regrettably took his eye protective glasses off too soon. While he was cleaning up, the wind blew what we thought to be metal shavings into his eyes. He tried to mediate the situation himself but after a day, his eye was almost glued shut and feeling like razor blades scrolling through his eyelid. He booked with Dr Jones and Dr Jones found the three tiny metal dust grains out of his eye. Cleaned up the gunk from his eye and prescribed an effective antibiotic. My husband was pain free and back to normal within a few days. Dr Jones was approachable, friendly and attentive. The second time I decided to book Premier eyecare of Arizona for my 4 year old's eye exam. She was terrified, not knowing what to expect. Jen the front desk and eye care assistant was phenomenal. She was kind, reassuring and so sweet. She entertained my 7 month old baby while I sat with my 4 year old for her exams. She showed enthusiasm and reassurance to my 4 year old when she got her eye pictures taken. Jen is the absolute best! My 4 year old saw Dr Brittany for her results. She's also great with kids. At the end of the exam, my daughter got to choose a gift from the treasure chest. On the way out she exclaimed "that wasn't so bad, mummy. Are we going to come back again? Went here for contact lens exam. They charged me $101.15 copay for contact lens fitting plus $10 dollars copay for exam. I asked why I wasn't told about this copay for contact lens fitting, because if I knew I wouldn't have done it because I can't afford it. I was expecting a 10 dollar copay which is what I usually pay. The lady just said we gave you paper work and told you to read it and sign it. They told me it's my fault because I didn't read the paper work that they had me sign in the iPad that there will be contact lens fitting that is not covered by VSP. No remorse at all. Just made me feel that it's my fault. It's the first time that I'm writing a negative review. I have only done 5 stars review till now. But with inflation going on,people loosing jobs, rent going up. Please let your new customers know that they will be paying for contact lens fitting. That only takes a minute of your time. Dr Warner and the technician was very friendly and respectful 5 stars to them. But I'm not coming back to this place is too expensive for me. read more

The only reason I chose this practice is because they carry a brand of glasses that I love, Silhouettes. I needed an annual eye exam so I booked an appointment. Pretty simple, right? Well little did I know that this practice is so desperate to not have a patient miss their appointment that it meant being called 3 separate times on the phone disrupting my workday and at least 5 texts every day leading up to my appointment. I do understand the need to remind patients but this was excessive and disruptive! So I show up for the appointment and am left waiting in an empty lobby for 15 minutes past my appointment time. The equipment was decent, the optometrist seems nice. However, apparently now optometrists are trying to perform dilated retina exams and billing my medical insurance. I'm trying to understand how that's possible when it's a MD who should be allowed to bill and perform these services. Ophthalmologists who train for many years to do this, now suddenly optometrists magically have been trained to treat retinal disease? To top it off, I decided to order some glasses from their selection. They do have a decent variety of brands, but they're pricey. I placed my order and waited to hear from them to pick up my new glasses. Well, all of a sudden this office can't communicate with me! I called to inquire where my order was a month after this appointment. According to Connor, they notified me several times! NEVER did I get one text,phone call, email regarding my order being ready THREE WEEKS ago. Conveniently there is no manager there, go figure! They charged me an inflated price for these glasses and cannot bother to place a single call to make sure I get my products! I do not recommend this place. Beware those people trying to stretch their scope of practice. And I wonder how many people have paid for glasses and never gotten them? read more

Incompetent office staff!! After premier eyecare called me that glasses were ready to be picked up I asked them to mail them to me they said they would, and they will go out the same day. 10 days later I called to ask if they had been mailed, THEY HAD NOT! I got a couple pieces of sawdust in my eye today. I called Premier and set an appointment to come see the optometrist and get the pieces of dust removed. I was told the price would be $50 but depending on what else needed to get done, up to $150. I explained exactly what was wrong in perfect detail. Sometimes I swear these types of businesses under quote you and tell you that unknown things could occur so they can gouge you and take your money. I was then told that the doctor was going to go to lunch so I would have to wait to see him. That was not optimal but whatever. I went to lunch with my wife and endured the intense pain for 1.5 hours waiting for my appointment. We showed up at the doctor 10 min before my appointment time and they got me into a room about 20 min later. In the room, they did my vitals and all that and dropped some numbing drops in my eye. That helped with the pain. The doctor came in, looked at my eye, flipped my eyelid inside out and wiped the two saw dust slivers away. He then wrote me a prescription for a steroid drop and told me it was normally $150 but he would give me a discount card I could use. When I went up front to pay, they told me it would be $273... I was like, "WHAT THE HELL?" How did we go from $50 to $273??? I was told the office visit price was $99 And the removal was $99 and the "emergency appointment" they gave me was $75. Do you recall earlier in my post where I mentioned that the doctor went to lunch first? Yeah, how the crap is that an emergency visit if I had to wait nearly 2 hours because someone needed to eat? I called BS on that and so they removed the emergency visit fee but I still was sorely misquoted $50 for an office visit. I paid the $198 but there is no way in hell I would ever go back to these guys since they did such a great job making me feel like I was being swindled. The doctor btw, was great. He was helpful, informative, and an all around great guy. The office girls, however, didn't set a realistic expectation of cost which caused problems later. read more

Your employees do not acknowledge patients when they come in. The reception area is a high desk without anyone sitting there. No bell to ring. Your optician that filled my two prescriptions with transition lenses didn't tell me that the glasses won't get dark while driving the car. No consideration for long time clients. To exchange one set of transition lenses with progressive prescription for a set of regular sunglasses lenses with UV they asked for $400! I think Dr. Jones is good but their office/opticians are terrible. DON''T go here. read more

With a super friendly and attentive staff, very knowledgeable doctors, huge selection of frames for all ages, this is the place to go for all your eye needs. Dr. Blanco was happy to explain and answer all the questions I had about my vision and eye health. The techs are quick, efficient and thorough with the pre-testing workup. Picking out a new pair of glasses and sunglasses was a joy when working with the opticians. I love my new CoCo Songs!! I will certainly be back for my dry eye treatments and annual checkups! But all price of eye frame are $140 plus , so with the lenses they quote me $380 with insurance and without is $700 when I know the price I just have to leave the shop , went to Walmart vision center with new frame and lenses for $70 . This place is awful staff is so rude. The drs don't care about your opinions I was given an incorrect vision script I had to fly back to ohio to see my long term eye dr. Where he told me my script was incorrect and lowered way more than it should be I know have suffered from massive migraines and a strain in my vision because of premier Eyecare they wouldn't even fix my glasses with the correct script. Do not go here they are way over priced and do not care about there customers at all ! Will never come here again never have been treated so rudely. read more

When I returned to pick up my contacts, they informed me of an additional charge which was never discussed by three different people. Don't bother, actual eye appt was fine but impossible to get glasses. Plan on waiting HOURS they don't take appointment I've been in on three separate occasions when only one person is helping fit and order glasses. I couldn't even get someone to explain my insurance benefits so that I can start browsing through the glasses. Finally found out through VSP I have $130 for the purchase of frames and they acknowledge they had not one single pair frames in that price range. Total rip off. Will be contacting VSP. read more
