I did not have a great experience at this location. The customer service was lacking, and throwing a tantrum when someone show a coupon was not very professional. A bit of training on how to talk to customers and basic etiquette would go a long way. Ever since it was sold to new owners, the place has been going downhill faster than a soapbox derby car. After being a loyal customer for over 5 years, I've decided to take my business elsewhere. I won't be returning for any car work, no matter how tempting their so-called 'deals' might be. To the management: Get some training on how to talk to people. It will go a long way for you. And next time, maybe take the red stuff out of your mouth before speaking to a customer. Update!! This oil change was the LAST TIME the hood of my car was opened. After so many years with this car, after a visit from THIS PRECISION now the hood of my car won't open. A mechanic said it was slammed or closed incorrectly last it was opened causing the hood to no longer open. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! Brought my truck in because the clutch was slipping.  $1000 later they replaced the master cylinder and the truck was fine for a few months. When the same issue started again, I was hesitant to go back. But my usual mechanic assured me that reputable mechanics fix their mistakes free of charge so I took it back in.  Well they had fired the original mechanic that did the work and I was told I would need to go to their sister location in Acworth. Drove over an hour and had my truck with them for 4 days only to be charged another $600 for a slave cylinder replacement. I was offered 3 free oil changes as compensation. DO NOT use these guys. They hire incompetent mechanics and you will pay the price for it. after leaving this bad review the owner had the master mechanic at their sister location call me to ask for a good review for their store. To summarize, this was my one and only encounter with this shop, maybe things could have gone differently if cooler heads prevailed but here are my 2 main takeaways. 1. IF they mess up your car they will cover their asses and not offer to fix it, just say that they will pay for your towing. 2. The "Mechanic" didn't know that after you FORCE STALL a manual car, you have to put it into the off position to start it again. Full Story: I'll try to be as impartial as possible. History: I took my car there to get a code checked out that was on my car because I wanted to get my car to pass emissions to register in GA. My car started and cut off FINE with absolutely no problems. The only issue I had was that sometimes I had to wiggle the key a little to get it out but I have gotten used to it and live with it. Day of incident: I go in and everything is fine at first, the manager lady was nice and as she put it while she was on the phone with a potential customer she had a "im a black woman trying to hustle and make a livin" vibe. The first thing I noticed was that for some reason they had me put my car into the bay, i figured they just didn't know how to drive manual or something, idk, but I ignored it and kept waiting. After 30 mins the manager lady comes in and says "oh you have codes for the ignition switch and wiring and fuel filter." I had just ran a code check on my car and only had 1 code that was a small evap leak. but she said "but we are still looking at it and will let you know what the problem is once we are for sure." Around 15 minutes later their "mechanic" calls me in and starts talking to him. I couldn't really understand what he was saying but I heard words like wiggle and start and ignition cylinder. So I get in the car, and it wouldn't start. Long story short we get into a dialogue where they are telling me that my ignition cylinder is bad, thats throwing the code, and thats the reason it wouldn't start. I told him "my car started every time since I bought it and started just fine when you guys asked me to move it in here, and now it wont start at all?" to which he replied something to the effect of " I am the mechanic and I know what I am doing, I didn't do anything to your car." The mechanic even admitted that he purposely stalled the car.(My car is manual) I tried to start the car, he tried and the manager lady tried and no one could get the car to start. At that point that manager lady came out and started talking to me after she spoke with her mechanic. At first she was really professional, she spoke with her mechanic, and tried to tell me that the car needed a new ignition switch. I told her "i brought my car for an a code about a small leak detected and now you are telling me my car won't start?" To which she replied "I can only tell you what my mechanic told me." At this point I even offered, "okay go ahead and change the ignition cylinder, and if the car starts after that I will pay for it!" to which she spoke to her mechanic and we went back to the whole "my car started and cut off just fine before i brought it here" after arguing for a minute or two, the manager lady got fed up I guess and said "Okay we will pay for your car to get towed somewhere and your on your own after that." I was super upset at this point because I HAD DROVE MY CAR HERE, BUT NOW IT HAD TO GET TOWED?!?!?!? After a lot of back and forth between the manger and the mechanic got involved again he again stated "I stalled the car to turn it off" I was not leaving anything up to chance and went back to the car and put it into the "off position" and the car started right up. Instead of feeling like an idiot the mechanic guy started telling me how I didn't know what I was talking about and to get my car out of his shop. I was pissed that a guy who in his words "Had PROFESSIONALLY driven manual cars, and converted a car from automatic to manual" didn't know that if you STALL a CAR on PURPOSE that you need to turn it completely off to start it back up. But then they said I needed new brakes...a few hundred dollars give or take. I checked my receipts as something seemed odd and found that I was actually at that exact store 8-12 months ago for new brakes. After they took a second look, magically my brakes were ok. There's a billboard by my house advertising $18.90 oil changes, so I went to this location. As I pulled up, there was a guy outside holding a sign for an oil change at $14.90. There are multiple places next to this one doing oil changes, but this place has the best price. As soon as I pulled in, I was greeted and my car pulled into a bay. My oil was drained out of my car before I even finished giving the guy at the desk my information. He told me it would be 15-20 minutes. I was literally done in 7 minutes....this was the fastest oil change I've ever had!! They did try to convince me I needed some expensive engine flush due to being over mileage on my oil change, but I simply declined and that was the end of it. Recommended! read more

The service at this place is extraordinary! Chris at the front desk helped me and my wife with a headache causing issue of car trouble with my Honda Accord. Him as well as the guys in the service bay did a awesome job addressing our issues. We had a smoke and engine problem that turned out to be a issue I caused with to much oil being added. This place literally charged $170 for a battery change in which we paid for the battery... and they ended up installing the battery the wrong way causing both the radio and AC to no longer work.. when we brought the car back to them they never even looked into the battery they replaced and said we need to take it to a dealership.. which will charge us an additional $180... I had a coupon to come here, and since I needed to get my emissions done as well, I figured I would kill 2 birds with one stone. That turned out to be a bit of a mistake, because Precision Tune charges the full $25 for the emissions, whereas RIGHT NEXT DOOR they charge $15 - so that basically negated my oil change coupon. I've been coming here for a few years now and I have always had decent service. I recently went back to get my brakes replaced and resurfaced and noticed that the staff had grew and that there were new faces. Everyone was very professional, very considerate and speedy with the service. There were a few people ahead of me but I didn't mind the wait (a little over an hour) because there's a QT down the road and a shopping center across the street as well as other stores within walking distance if you don't feel like waiting there. They called my cell to inform me what was wrong with my brake pads and about the cost for the service and then again when it was all done. So my satisfaction before has definitely increased to very satisfied. I come here for all of my car needs unless I find a good deal elsewhere, though their prices are very reasonable. I recommend them to anyone! FYI: If you have coupons, they have to be printed; they won't take coupons if you show them on the phone. I recommend calling ahead to check if there's enough time to work on your vehicle for that day or to check if they are really swamped with customers. read more

Noticed a gentlemen that I knew inside already waiting for his car ( he was doing a synthetic oil change also). I waited for about 45 min that's when they brought his car up front and stated it was done. At this time it was myself and another young lady waiting for a oil change. The gentlemen asked the guy who was handing him his keys " it was a synthetic oil change correct" the guy said no we had it for a regular oil change. Needless to say myself and the other lady asked for our keys back and went somewhere else... Also the floor is so nasty they need a degreaser inside the waiting room area and inside the shop. When I walked in and young lady was walking out and she had paper towels under her shoe's so she would not fall... You gonna have a law suit if you don't do better. read more

I dropped off my car at Precision Tune on Satellite Blvd today for an A/C diagnosis. My A/C was not blowing cold air any longer. After a while, the technician called me and began a long explanation about what all would need to be replaced to get my A/C fixed. It was a long list of items including a NEW COMPRESSOR! The total came up to be about $1,600 !!! I felt like I had been shot! UGH! I proceeded to pick up my car, paid for the diagnosis check and got the HECK OUTA THERE! I then looked up a more reputable place online and now, a few hours later, MY A/C is fixed! It turned out to be only ONE part that needed replacing, not that whole list of things that Precision Tune said! That place is a BIG SCAM! Don't take your car there!!! read more

My 2nd and last time visiting this particular place. The first time was in February of this year. (2018) where I had a oil change done for a reasonable price. However two days later i was filling my Antifreeze. Now today I went in at 12:52 pm to be exact it is now 4:28 and I'm just now leaving completely unsatisfied. My last encounter the mechanic that fix my truck failed to tell me that he somehow stripped the bolt to my oil pan. When I got in there today they told me that they were obligated to fix it because it was their fault an hour and a half goes by after the manager told me that he would be in within 20 minutes because the mechanics told me to my face they don't know what their doing. The manager finally showed up and didn't make it a priority to come to speak with me, to tell me that I needed a whole new oil pan because of the stripping of the boat not because of a leak!! because of the stripping of a boat that their mechanics caused so I was told I would have to pay $302.00 for a new oil pan because the boat was stripped by the mechanic who no longer works there. So when I tell them to order the part and go ahead and get it done. The manager tells me. (After a whole hour) they would not be able to fix it today it's going to take to long and he already gave me a labor discount and to ask the mechanics to stay over would be to much!!! I am furious and this is quite disappointing and one of the most unprofessional situations I've ever encountered. And to put the icing on the cake another man came in with the same exact issue! I purchased a drop in replacement engine for my truck and had the work done at this location. I was verbally quoted 10 hours for the job to be completed several times by Josh himself. It took them 6 full weeks to finally call and tell me they were finished, I paid them that day by credit card but before I was able to pick up my truck, they called again and said there was a vacuum leak and it would be another day or two. 8 days later, I had to call them to ask what was going on and they told me there was now a fuel leak. 6 more days went by with no word from them so, I was forced to call a tow truck and have it taken somewhere else. Though I was able to drive my vehicle in to have the work started, 2 full months had passed with my truck in their possession and It was essentially in worse condition than when I had dropped it off because I had to pay to have it towed to another mechanic to have the work completed. (One who was able to assess and repair the damage they had caused and have me back on the road in less than 2 days.) The money it cost me however, to repair not only the damage they did to my vehicle while it was in their possession (inside and out) but to also complete the work they were already paid in full to do, far exceeded the amount I was initially quoted to have the job done there originally. If you're thinking of having work done here, you should seriously re-think it. Even if you find yourself broken down right in front of this location, do yourself a favor and pay to have it towed to a reputable mechanic. In the long run, it will save you not only time and money but also the headaches of having to deal with the substandard, careless workmanship provided there and the string of new mechanical issues that will likely occur as a result. read more

Horrible Experience - Precision Tune Duluth & Lawrenceville auto shops 3/26/18-Took vehicle to Precision Tune, Duluth due to check engine light & running rough. Mechanic called, vehicle needs tune up. After tune up, mechanic said vehicle still running rough, ignition coil needs to be replaced. They did work, received call, still runs rough. Mechanic thinks it is fuel pump related. Replaced fuel pump. Received call, during fuel pump replacement, battery died. Without my consent, put new battery in. Mechanic said will waive labor to offset cost. Battery replaced was only 1.5 yr old. 4/5/18-Mechanic called, vehicle ready to go. At 4:30PM, Mechanic called in sorrowful voice asking if I'm on my way. He said truck not running right as he drove out of garage. Asked to keep it a few more days to figure out what's wrong. They already had vehicle for 9 days. I gave them a surprise visit. I started my vehicle, it ran worse than when I took it to shop. It was running extremely rough, engine light on, back-firing. I'm upset! Mechanic said it could be transmission related. I just replaced transmission 26,000 miles ago. Asked to see certifications, one mechanic said he is not certified, but he knows everything. Both mechanics looked like teenagers fresh out of HS. I asked to speak to GM. GM is at different shop location. On phone he said one employee could drive vehicle to other shop 10mi away. After thinking it over, they could do more damage by driving truck to other shop and charge me for it. Had really bad vibes about whole company, decided to pay over $1100 and drove my truck, worse than before, 3mi to Tires Plus, could not drive over 35mph, back-firing, emergency lights on. Tires Plus corrected issue in two days. Tires Plus (TP) corrected tune up done incorrectly, plugs/wires in wrong order that caused back-firing. TP replaced fuel pump. It was wrong fuel pump for vehicle. Initial problem of check engine light was due to fuel injector, and not related to anything Precision Tune worked on. Paid TP $700 for fuel injector and $700 for fuel pump replacement. Other parts on vehicle affected after Precision Tune job: radio not working, blown fuse. Contacted Precision Tune GM, ask refund for faulty, guessing-game work done on vehicle. GM very defensive, not apologetic in any way. Said there is no correct order for wires/plugs. LIE. GM refused to do anything. When I told him that I have no other course but to take legal action, he said he'll call me back. I haven't heard from him ever since! read more

If you have to come here, be sure to discuss EVERYTHING. They will throw up charges in and will NOT notify you of any price changes throughout your time. If you see a sign advertising a certain price, please don't take it at face value. You will be HIGHLY disappointed when the final payment is told. The coupons online are only meant to glamorize it all. I had an online coupon for $15 off and after seeing the $38 oil change sign right outside, you'd think it would be $15 less than that with the coupon when it's all said and done. NOPE. Apparently the signs are advertising the price with the $15 coupon already included!! And don't even think of making an appointment for an oil change. You'll be turned away like a man was today, as it's only "first come first serve". Just another money hungry company. I came here because it had great reviews on Yelp. But I was pretty disappointed. I went in an hour after they opened so there were only two cars ahead of me. Even then, it took over an hour for them to complete my car... on top of that, when I finally got in my car, there was oil all over my steering wheel, door handle inside and outside, the inside of the door, my keys, etc. I was supposed to run errands after but I had no choice but to go home to wash everything because it was just all over the car. I drove home using my two fingers to steer the car because it was all over my sheering wheel. I've never had to wash up after a technician.... pretty disappointed. read more
