This was my first experience with Clay and his mechanics and I will be bringing my wife and my cars there from now on! Absolute great experience from the first email. Here is the details: I had an extended warranty that just expired so I had been bringing my car to GM dealer by work for any issues. About 6 months ago I brought it in when an engine light came up. They diagnosed the issue. They told me They had to do a fuel injection to fix the issue that wasn't covered by my warranty, even though I specifically asked them to replace the part that was sending the error message. 4 months later the engine light came back on and my car was having performance issue (diagnosed by GM again) and now I was out of warranty so of course they wanted to replace that part along with a bunch of other unrelated parts. I sent the specific question on what I wanted to get done to 6 different places from Yelp. Clay was the only one that sent me back a detailed response with around how much it was going to cost. I brought my car in yesterday morning, they got it done with the OEM part and called me right after lunch to let me know it was ready. The car runs great and the final price was lower that they originally quoted me! That's a first for me! From now on I will not take any of our vehicles anywhere else! Thank you Clay!!! read more

I've been to this business before and gave them a positive review the first time. I want to reaffirm my recommendation because they are a quality establishment with friendly and helpful staff. They previously diagnosed and repaired a strange electrical issue with my VW. Last week, I brought my car in because the gas gauge wasn't working--it was stuck on empty. They identified the issue and fixed it. Later, I noticed a problem with one of the parts they installed, so I brought the car back this week. My rear passenger tire was flat, so I drove right up to the Auto Service Center hoping that they could help me add some air to the tire. Instead, the wonderful team invited me into the center, checked the tire and found a nail, removed the tire, and removed the nail and plugged the tire - all in a matter of less than 10 minutes! Not only was the team professional and swift, but they were extremely personable and kind, and even had a conversation with me about my favorite topic: dogs! I arrived here and they took my truck and info right away. They were very thorough and determined the problem wasn't as bad as I thought. The prices are fair and the customer service is excellent. Hard to believe that Roush Honda actually wants to sell cars. Worst service department ever. My wife's Accord got recalled to fix a DANGEROUS driveshaft problem. They said they would have the car two days and finished by 6pm, including a free detailing that we asked for because she had one left on the car. They texted about two hours after having the vehicle noting about $700 worth of repairs needed, never mentioning the driveshaft. We said no on the repairs, and the next day they said they had a problem starting it, but only once. CALL US if you want us to check it out. We did not call until 6pm when the car was supposed to be ready. It was not. The person servicing it had left. After three phone calls and an email, they finally called back asking if we wanted to check out the starter problem, again never mentioning the driveshaft. It had been completed. We had to ask. So we came to pick up the car, but had no paperwork and it had not been detailed. They offered a rental, but my wife was so frustrated after two days, we said we'll just take the car. We left, and they forgot to give us any paperwork. We will not be back, nor buy another Honda. My wife has owned five of them in her lifetime. read more

I just had a trailer hitch & wiring kit installed on my car yesterday. Clay gave me a much better price on the installation than the hitch manufacturers "authorized" installation location. The install took about an hour & a half and looks like it came from the factory! Scott was the tech who did the work, which was completed meticulously. How many times would a mechanic jump at a brake job even it didn't need to be done? -- probably everytime. That wasn't the case today, my brakes were fine after the last guy said they needed to be done with a $500 estimate -- glad I didn't bite. I have been a customer for over ten years. You can count on this shop to only recommend work that is needed and to do it correctly. Several times I have had them repair problems without having to do major work that was recommended by the new car dealer from whom I purchased the car. Women customers are treated just as courteously as men customers. They are only open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 6 pm but most work is completed the same day. They do accept credit cards and work on most makes of cars, including Toyota and other "japanese makes". read more

I've been coming to Auto Service Center for close to 10 years, and I've never had a bad experience. They have always been honest- they even found out my transmission was under warranty and told me to have it repaired at the dealer when they could've made a killing on the repairs themselves. More recently, Garland straight up told me not to sink another couple thousand into my car. He said "we are getting close to decision making time". Haha. He has always been straight forward and has never tried to make an extra dollar off of me. I respect this business because of my numerous positive interactions with them over the years. They are closed on Saturday and Sunday. So, I know that I won't get my car back super fast if I drop it off on a Friday, but the service and honesty are well worth it. I have also priced shopped the repair services before, and Auto Service Center is well within a competitive price range with other shops. Also, I've never had trouble with my car repairs after the fact. They always get the job done correctly the first time. I will continue to use Garland and his team for as long as they are around! I brought in my '74 Bronco to Auto Service (don't care) Center for a new crate motor, Sniper EFI fuel injection, exhaust install and radiator. Clay Bailey, the owner gave me a reasonable price, so I agreed to the work. 18 months later, he was still "working on it". The "new" motor leaks everywhere. The oil pan bolts were only hand tightened. The valve covers were only hand tightened and are leaking oil. The transmission pan bolts were only hand tightened and leaking (He did a fluid change). The head bolts are loose because he didn't install locking ones like I requested. The new mufflers and exhaust I requested stainless pipes and he instead had standard steel exhaust installed. I took it back to him multiple times to fix issues and Clay would let it sit for months. He would say over and over again, "We're working on it...", but in reality, it was just sitting and not one was repairing. Oh yeah, he also caught my new engine on fire because he decided not to replace the fuel line that came with the new Edelbrock Sniper EFI kit. So now I have a nice burned spot in my hood. Also, the new aluminum and chrome parts are all heat scorched or oxidized. Plus all the paint is burned off the motor and other parts I painted before he put them back on the "new" motor (timing chain cover, oil pan, power steering brackets, etc.). He replaced the upper engine wires and hoses, except on the EFI. He decided to just put wire loom over the melted wires showing bare copper wires. He didn't replace two vacuum lines going to the transmission either. These lines were melted to the transmission. He or his guys also cut one of the exhaust mounts and never had it replaced. To "make it right", Clay agreed to install an in tank fuel pump, since the original one wined and burned out (best case it was faulty). He also had my gas tank dipped. This is a fair amount of work and expense, so I appreciated the gesture. However, having a "brand new" motor that smokes and leaks oil everywhere doesn't seem to work out for me. Also, none of my dash gauges work. No oil pressure, temp, water, alternator. Plus, the motor won't idle right. I wish there was a way to give negative 5 stars. Do yourself a favor and go to anywhere but Auto Service Center. Horrible experience and Clay Bailey couldn't care less. read more
