After my friend introduced me to this place since 2013, I have never been back to the dealerships again for maintenance. Bottom line, they are very honest people with great customer service and business ethics and strive to do the job right. First time I came here, something was wrong with my tire and he referred me to another place because he said he did not specialize in it, but could help me if the other place couldn't. They are not out to make a quick buck. Months later, I had some other issues and remembered how helpful and honest he was. He could have told me a million things were wrong but he didn't. So I asked him fix other things I knew needed to be done and he identified something else that was wrong. They also repaired my windshield (they outsource it). However, I noticed a crack the first day I had it. Of course I was frustrated. Brought it back and they apologized and fixed it with a great sense of urgency. Very polite not condescending. I spoke to Kwon via Yelp messaging regarding my needs; I wanted to have him install my brakes 'Labor Only' as I had obtained some pads and rotors from a friend. Every other business I spoke to, instead of trying to assist, instead used their messaging to tell me how they don't install parts that customers bring in due to "they parts they bring in are sub-par, etc..."; Kwon gave me a quick answer, along with pricing. The day I brought it in, he did the work super fast, in under an hour I believe and also changed a bolt that needed changing for free. A friend of mine suggested this place for oil change and repairs. His family has been going here for years. Until that point I was only servicing my car at Ford dealership(I have 2010 Ford Fusion). Since then I have changed my oils here several times and also had to change my car tire wheel once - I bumped it on curb and it got bent a little. we had to change it, they quoted only exactly how much it costed them to buy. If they know that you are a regular customer, they just don't take you for granted at all. Instead they give you great deals. Also, this is a great place to get car repair quote. They will tell you right upfront if there is no value in changing something and they won't try to push something your car doesn't need in first place. On the way to the shop my car broke down in the middle of Buford Hwy!!!! I was less than .25mi away from the shop and called to let them know I would be late and was waiting for a tow truck. Very upset with my experience here. Yes they have great reviews and are very friendly and willing to work with you the best they can but they caused damage to my car and then tried to deny it. These people are unbelievable! When I picked my car up my windshield was cracked diagonally all the way along the driver side! And on top of that the latch to shut my hood was missing and now my hood doesn't even shut!!!! Had tie it down with string just to drive it home! They accepted ZERO responsibility for the damage they caused and had the nerve to bring up the fact my car already had damage from previous wrecks. Yes it did have body damage before coming here but it didnt have a cracked windsheild and at least the hood closed shut! Would not recommend this place read more

I have been taking my cars to Tenku for the last 4 years and as others reviewers has said, I can't find other mechanics that are this honest and up front. I have been taking my 2012 Odyssey for non warranty work to Tenku ever since I bought the car and will continue to do so. Kwok and Johnny are very friendly and helpful and always straightforward with their diagnosis. They never once tried to up-sell. I have used other shops, including dealership and they are either dishonest or expensive. Two other mechanics said I needed a new water pump for 07 Camry for $350. I found Tenku on Yelp to get new brakes and rotors. I dropped the car off. Two hours later I get a call from the mechanic telling me that the current brakes on the car are not made for Camry. When I went to pay mechanic he said that there was air trapped in the water pump and he "burped it". He saved me $350 and the car runs really well now. I then sent a friend over there with an 06 Ford mustang who was told by her long time mechanic that the air compressor needed to be replaced for $600! Tenku mechanic said it was working fine, did some work and no charge! Just hard to find good honest people like Tenku. I'll be taking my other cars there from now on. read more

Johnny was friendly, knowledgable, and easy to understand; his English was very good, which puts him ahead of a lot of other shops around Duluth.
