Johnny was friendly, knowledgable, and easy to understand; his English was very good, which puts him ahead of a lot of other shops around Duluth. They fixed me up for right around the price I would have guessed ($330 for a brake master cylinder), and because they've used this particular aftermarket part before and trust it, gave me an in-house 1-year warranty on it. read more

I usually dislikes mechanics until I met Kwan and Johnny. They are "honest" and that's why I have been going to them for almost 10 years! I had issues with my cars and they always quoted parts/labor estimates upfront to see if it makes sense for you to get it fix. They told me coolant was old so I went back to garage where it had just been changed and they tested and showed me coolant was brand new! They also scuffed the headlight and didn't bother to tell me. Needed a brake job, transmission flush and an oil change. Quotes were: $130, $120 & $22. Total $272.00. What actually happened: Brakes inspected and only needed to clean and adjust rear shoes: $25. Transmission flush $120. Oil change $21.95. Replace air filter: $18. Total w/ tax $191.84. Almost $100 less than I expected. FYI: Transmission Flush quote at another auto repair shop was $224. Same day service and quick, professional and very nice. I'll be going back for a windshield replacement: $230. When I called for a quote at a shop that specializes in replacing windshields I got a quote of $340 w/ an offer to try and get a more competitive price when I told them about the $230 quote. read more

I went to this shop based on the reviews. I got my oil change within 30-45 minutes compared to the 4 hour wait at the dealership(Curry Honda). More work is needed on my Honda and I will definitely patronage them again. read more

I can't say enough positive things about Tenku Auto. My sister's car broke down over the summer. Pep Boys was going to charge $1400 to fix it. Tenku Auto got my sister back up and running for under $200. Honest and....GREAT customer service. I'm writing this review from their waiting room. Unbelievable service! I found this place two years ago when I moved to Atlanta. As a student, I am very conscientious of prices, but Tenku has kept my Honda Civic in great condition without compromising my budget, and well under the dealer's prices. Johnny and Kwan are amicable and honest, and have even alerted me of unnecessary charges that other car repair shops and dealerships may tack on to the bill due to my inexperience. Tenku Auto is the real deal. I've been going to them for something like four years now. I've never had a problem with any of their repairs, ever. I've never had a problem that required going back to them. Their prices are super reasonable - they once recommended that I get new tires, but to my surprise, they actually suggested going to the Costco down the street to save money rather than buying it from them. Another time I had some serious problems with one car and their final repair cost was $200 cheaper than their initial quote. I've been ripped off by slimy dealers and independent repair shops alike in the past, and it's been so refreshing to have mechanics who know what they're doing and are actually trustworthy. read more

This place is GREAT! Took my car to Ford dealer & they were trying to tell me I needed 4 new rotors, brake pads & that my plastic windshield wiper solution holder was cracked. Johnny looked at my car & told me there was nothing wrong with my front breaks & that I only needed rotors & pads for the back & that my holder wasn't broken the hose had just came off. I've been having issues with my car for the past 2 weeks. I just recently moved here and I didn't know where to take my car. I just didn't want to take it to any repair shop because a lot of times they want to try and rip you off , especially if you are a woman.So I looked for a place in yelp and kept seeing what great review this place had. So I went here trying to find out what was wrong with my car. I spoke to jhonny , he was able to tell me what was wrong with it. He also gave me some great advice and helped me with my issue. I went here due to the high ratings on Yelp and was not disappointed. I needed an oil change and tire rotation, and everything went great! They had my synthetic oil for my car along with a new air filter for very cheap which turned out to be great for my car cabin. Every step of the process was explained to me along with every charge that I would incur before the work was started so I could decide. This is very different compared to some larger dealerships where they do the work and then just bill you without ever asking. I would definitely recommend this place as I know I will be going back here for my next oil change. read more
