I was originally going to leave a 4 star review based on a moderately irritating gripe, but I'm going to give some grace and let it slide.. especially since my total cost out of pocket was $120 less than estimated. That was a pleasant surprise. I have a warranty through CarMax and Franky's was listed as an authorized mechanic service through RepairPal. Dropping the vehicle off was easy, the communication was great, they always called with updates or picked up the phone if I called them. The repairs were great, no complaints. My gripe is that they had the vehicle 10 days because they originally ordered the wrong parts, the gentleman on the phone made a comment that they weren't aware that my SUV had an advance technology package. They should have known this by the VIN, all I had to do was Google my VIN and the first result told me the specs of my specific vehicle. Having to wait an extra week was annoying, but I can't even say for sure the MaxCare warranty dept didn't make the mistake, so I'll forgive it. Aside from that, everything else went smoothly and I didn't feel like I was being mislead or taken advantage of. read more

Do the right thing. The owner of Frankie's Real Auto didn't. If you don't fix the problem. You shouldn't take the money, but they did. They car was ready, but it was still overheating. They didn't stand by their word or their work.Thats dishonest business. If you tell the customer the car is ready and you get paid but the problem still exist. What kind of man still takes the money? I talked to the owner. He really sounded like he wanted to do the right thing. He said let me see what I can do for you. I'm a home health nurse. I had to go see a patient. I said, I'll call back and when I did he decided not refund the money. He knows he should have given the money back. Some men just have a hard time doing what's right. It's really difficult to find good honest people, but you learn the hard way who isn't. read more

My car needed a lot of work done. Unfortunately being a woman I got taken advantage of at a dealership. I bought a problem. Franky and Chris were very helpful and knowledgeable even though my car is a Mini Cooper. They broke everything done to me and I would recommend them to anyone who needs repairs done They are up Upfront. The pricing was fair and they communicated with me every step of the way. We went to trash Pep Boys about a month ago, and what a waste that was (read my review on that if you want). They told us that my partner's Mazda needed new struts. Of course that was like a ton of money. To be sure this was accurate, my partner took his car to Frankys to get a second opinion and OMG THE SERVICE WAS SO MUCH BETTER!! We made an appointment prior to paying them a visit. And unlike Pep Boys they actually took us in on time and gave us their undivided attention. It's pretty sad that the bar is set that low these days, but it was definitely a breath of fresh air! Franky, Chris, and Brad greeted us with such attentiveness and gave us their second opinion basically stating that we didn't need struts, but instead balanced and rotated tires. Unfortunately, they don't do this service :( but that's still better than Pep Boys OMG. Either way, we are definitely coming back for servicing for all that they offer. It really is refreshing to have a a company that looks out for you. They also have a place in Loganville, which apparently is much bigger! Persistence paid off with Frankys Real Auto! After making multiple trips to the car dealership to evaluate an issue with my mom's vehicle, we left with a 'everything's fine, couldn't find anything wrong' each time. We left dissatisfied and problem remained. I was not satisfied with the nothing's wrong answer because you could clearly hear and feel that there was an issue. I searched online for a place that I felt like I would take a chance with and gave them a call. Spoke via phone explaining my concerns. Scheduled an appointment and took the vehicle in. Frankys is not in our area of town, but it was worth the trip and so thankful we found them! They quickly found the problem and offered the solution. After many trips to the dealership and much expense, Frankys Real Auto was the solution. Franky was beyond knowledgeable, courteous, gracious, kind, and would recommend to anyone. Technician found the issue because he visually inspected the vehicle and did not need to rely on the computer to tell him what the problem was...because it was a non-chip problem.
