Unfortunatly this place got me pretty good. Long story short, I agreed to pay them $130 to see if my exhaust manifold were bad or leaking (diagnostic). Afterwards I agreed to pay them $2100 to have my entire exhaust pipe replaced, including both exhaust manifolds. I arrive to pickup my truck about 4 days later, I pay them and go home to check over their work. It looks like they replaced the manifolds, but they used the old hardware for the manifolds. Then you can clearly see the manifolds attaching to my old red, brown and rusty exhaust pipe. Then at the very end of my exhaust pipe (That was supposed to be replaced) they asked a 2 year old to weld this skinny exhaust tube to my old exhaust pipe. Im an honest and nice guy. Common, I seriously cant trust anyone now days. Very sad. Now watch them type some silly response to this. "Oh my goodness sir, were so sorry this miscommunication happened, please call our office at 706-327-2114" I am such an idiot. Please read over reviews before you go with a company. I literally wished I could give this location a 500! My elderly Mother went to this location a couple of weeks ago. She was having some challenges with her backseat window not going down. There was a young man there by the name of Junior who assisted her. My Mother said that he worked tirelessly in the heat to get the circuit connected properly so that her window would work. She was so elated that she did not have to spend a lot of money to get this repaired. Junior actually did it without charging her anything, he said that he just wanted to bless her because she was so nice and he just appreciated her. That was the first instance. During that same visit, she was told that she could come back to have some Freon added to her car and she said she would do that in a couple of weeks. Well, she had another issue with her car not starting properly and that should not be happening because it's not an old car or anything. Naturally she was going directly to Precision Tune Auto Care on Veterans, considering she had such a stellar experience before. Today Terry assisted her and fixed her issue. He confirmed it was not her starter nor was it her alternator. It was simply something that was not plugged properly which caused the car to stall. And again, he did not charge her because it wasn't anything major that he had to do. He only had to connect something that had not been done properly when the battery was installed at another store. Well, she could not stop singing the praises of Junior and Terry, and she said they really blessed her. She even called me and let me speak with Terry so that I could thank him as well. He was such a delightful and respectful young man, it just warmed my heart that she was taken care of in this manner. So, I know that Precision Auto Tune has a lot of bad reviews; HOWEVER, I want to publicly say THANK YOU for not trying to take advantage of my elderly Mother. In today's society, it seems like people take advantage of anyone they can, but most especially the elderly!!! So, to whomever hired Terry and Junior, THANK YOU because they are definitely rock-stars working at the Veteran's location! read more

NO rating the service I received was HORRIBLE. I went for an oil change. He said I needed a valve cover 300.00 I said ok that is enough, WELL when I went to get my car it was $697.88. He did not ask me if it was ok to do these things to my car. Coolant Fluid Exchange injection Cleaner Transmission Fluid exchange, 4 cyl tune up and spark plugs. l I called the coporate office NO ONE answers the phone. I left 2 messages, Wrote them, a letter on Aug 27. Wrote to the BBB no answer, Wrote to Attorney General NO answer Today 9-15 someone called about this, He yakked on and on about what good work they did, That may be true but I did not ask for all this work I have been going to this location on Veterans Parkway since 2014 NEVER AGAIN.. they ripped me off now I have a $697.88 oil change for a Ford Fusion. I will never take a car to any of these places anywhere I go I will have it in writing first. the man that called me said according to the key strokes on the computer. TL;DR They don't even know how to install an oil filter correctly. On March 13, 2020 I had an oil change for $40.48 at Precision Tune Auto Care at 5427 Veterans Parkway, Columbus GA, 31904. The following week my car was parked for 4 days and I noticed an oil leak on the driveway. The oil leak was small, but it persisted, and on April 3rd, 2020, I took the car back to Precision Tune Auto Care. During that visit, I was advised I would need the valve cover gasket repaired. I purchased the valve cover gasket for $24.79 + shipping from Rock Auto and returned to Precision Tune Auto Care on April 14th, 2020. The valve cover gasket was changed and I was charged $370.46. The oil leak persisted and I returned to Precision Tune Auto Care on April 17th, 2020. During that visit, I was advised that I needed to replace the oil pan gasket. I purchased the oil pan gasket for $15.39 from Rock Auto. I then scheduled an appointment with a different mechanic and had my car inspected on April 29, 2020. During the previous oil change in March at Precision Tune Auto Care, the oil filter was not installed properly and was loose. I paid the other mechanic $90.97 to have the engine cleaned and to have a new oil change. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Their response was that the oil leak was present when I brought it for the original oil change and that at the first oil change I was advised to replace the valve cover gasket. The technician notes from March 13th do not mention either of these things. The response also stated that when the valve cover gasket was changed they told me I needed to replace the oil pan gasket. This was not mentioned in the technician notes. These "problems" were discovered when I took the car in for complimentary services because I still had an oil leak. It's currently listed as an unresolved complaint with the BBB (8/22/2020). read more

Place doesn't deserve a star. Came in for a basic oil change on my vehicle. They overfilled the car and it ran like crap immediately after leaving. I get home...check the oil and sure enough way to full. Ended up emptying everything out and doing it myself. DO NOT GO HERE OR ANY PRECISION TUNE AUTO CARE.....THEY SUCK. 30 days, NO OIL: My 2013 Kia Optima quit in the middle of busy Macon Rd. I called 911 for help getting off the road. Later, I called my mechanic, who showed me there was no oil in my car; he put in 2 qts of oil and a new battery, it still wouldn't start. He checked the engine and told me it was locked up; the motor wouldn't turn. The oil was changed around the 17th of Dec, 2019, and this was the 17th of Jan, 30 days later, and it was dry! I haven't been on a road trip, and I'm not a speed driver: over 40 yrs, never received a ticket. We went to Precision at 5427 Veteran Pkwy and spoke with Richard, the manager, about the problem, who said he'll tow it there and check it out. Richard called me the next day, informing me that it wasn't the engine, but the starter, and it would cost about $700 to fix, which was too much! I towed it home. I told Richard that one of his workers were stealing oil, because this wasn't the 1st time I had this experience with them; in June 2019 "supposedly" they changed my oil, but Jul the light came on; the oil was black, within 30 days I had to pay for another oil change! Because of this, I'll be checking every time I get an oil change to make sure I'm getting what I paid for! Although Richard was really nice I'll never go there again, and would advise others to make sure you get what you pay for!! By the way, after putting in a new battery and starter, my car is still down! Its the engine! And I'm definitely going to fight for precision to fix my car!!! This place doesn't even deserve a star. Just listen to me and do not go here. In fact, don't go to any Precision Tune. I'm sure they're probably owned by the same people who try to rip you off. I went in here for a very basic oil change. It did not include rotation. All of a sudden, they start rotating my tires. I take it up with the lady up front, who said that the man thought I needed them done. I told her I wasn't going to pay for a service I didn't ask for. Btw, my tires were BRAND NEW and had been on my car for about 4 hours. How do you not notice that? Anyways, then he tells me I need everything flushed, fluids changed, things reset, and god only knows what else he tried to sell me. There are very few chain auto repair shops that deliver great service, but the staff at Precision Tune Auto went above and beyond. Not only is the staff knowledgeable but friendly and attentive as well. We had engine trouble and they were able to completely find, fix, and better our Suburban faster than any other shop was willing to do; and with the quality and care of a local mechanic. I came in with a coupon for 29.90 and I know my truck takes 6.6 quarts of oil the lady told me it would a little like 6.00 an some change and I know they add taxes but and the end of my service my total was almost 50.00 I added everything up at 30+7 an 8% sales tax and it doesn't come up to even 45.00 so where did the extra charge come from and I used another 3.00 off coupon and the girl at the front desk didn't even know how it works from the coupon on my phone and said she would take it off at the end and my total was still like 45.00 with their coupon for 29.90 and the 3.00 off coupon I want to apologize to precision tunes for my post earlier I was miss quoted my bill came up to only 38.00 I'm very sorry read more
