I had trouble with my relatively new front passenger tire. I took it to five businesses for repairs before coming to Discount Tire Co. on Whittlesey Road in Columbus. Even Ford said nothing wrong was discovered. Another company said that I needed a new tire. At that point, I was frustrated and thought the only way to eliminate repeated loss of air pressure was to purchase a new tire then for balance purchase two. Michelin tires are not cheap. However, I didn't want to throw away money before time for it. Yelp took me to Discount Tires with the highest rating for tire repairs out of a list of 10. I was amazed by the customer service. It was discovered that I had a valve leak. Get this, I was charged zero, nothing for the repair. When I need new tires, I will buy them from Discount Tires. Plus, as I waited a short time, I heard how the agents were equally responsive and provided quality concern with other customers. Community, let's support this company.

Before I was even able to leave my office to get it looked at, I had to borrow a co-workers air machine to have the tire inflated enough to safely drive on it. This was my first experience with FTC. Although I know, that over-time, I will have other car issues, this will certainly not be my last experience with the fine folks down at FTC! They were open and honest with me and said they would try their best to fix the tire versus having to replace it. Luckily, they were able to patch the hole. This was music to my ears since my car is a lease and it's up in a few months. If you have an automobile issue, I highly recommend this place. Fred's Tire Discounters…read more If you are a woman beware. I would strongly advise not doing business with Tire Discounters (formally known as Fred's tires). This used to be the only place I would use but always would have my Dad take my vehicle. I called to make an appointment to see why my air conditioner was not working. I called a few days prior and was quoted $280. On the day of my appointment the 4th of April, I had made to have my air conditioner checked due to it not cooling. I arrived on the 4th and the man explained that they would only charge me for the Freon that needed to be added. After they took my truck back. They advised me that my hoses and everything was good and the Freon was good but my compressor had went out. I asked them how much that would be. They told me they would not be able to fix it that day even though the appointment was at 9 AM that morning. They quoted $1300 for the compressor and having to charge the system again. So once I went inside the office, I found how they had charged me for draining my lines and charging a system of $400 prior to checking my compressor. After talking they agreed that was not right and they were going to refund my money. After giving the run around for 3 days and the refund was not returned to my card, I sent my Dad up there to handle it. They told him it would be returned by April 11th and if not to come back up there. On April 13th he went back up there and was told by Kim to give it until April 25th, they were either going to refund back to the card or send a check in the mail by April 25th. When I didn't receive either one my Dad went back up there on April 27th and was told by Kim that they were not going to refund the money. It took them 3 weeks to give me the run around and then refuse to refund my money. I advise you to find somewhere else to do business. Here is a voicemail from Kim saying that I was going to get a refund.

I went back to the tire shop and explained what was going on this man swore me up and down that he didn't sell me this tire and that he didn't have that type of tire at his shop. People me and my 3 year old toodler were in the car as he placed the tire on my car that Monday 4/28/25. I didn't have my receipt in hand therefore the worker was like oh well not his problem and stuck with his story of not selling me this raggedy ass tire. Some times, we stop by the deli at to purchase their hotdogs and pizza. It's been awhile since I purchased a hotdog here. Seems like it shrunk or they're using smaller dogs and buns. They still are yummy. The pizza appears to be more tasty than Costco's. I'm not sure if it's because I haven't had it in a while. LOL!
