I stopped by this company yesterday to get my car serviced. I was impressed by the initial contact,…read moreChris greeted me immediately and asked what I needed. I already had a quote and asked if it could be taken care of on the spot or would there be a wait to order parts. He informed me they could get it done right away. There was a turn because almost 2 hours later I had to go to the register and ask what the problem was. The manager James was just as hospitable as Chris and this put me at ease. I explained my issue and he did everything to remedy the situation. I am HUGE on customer service, so even though I had to wait, I didn't mind because I saw how each of their employees interacted with the customers. I myself interacted with 3 people that day and each of them were respectable. The only thing that prevented this from being a 5 star review is the failure to communicate the issue with finding the correct part, otherwise great job!

I've been coming here for a very long time receiving oil changes. I always bring my own oil and…read morefilter as the oil for my truck is specific and they usually don't have on hand. Today the technician fill my 3.0 diesel with 10 quarts of oil and it calls for 7 quarts. Luckily I noticed as soon as I pulled out of the bay that I didn't have the 3 quarts in my 5 quart jug I brought with me. I quickly went back around and they dropped the oil down to the proper level of 7 quarts. They had a mechanic drive the truck to ensure we didn't have any white smoke or oil leaks from the seals. They had 3 quarts brought to the shop to replace the 3 that had to be drained. What should've been a quick oil change turned into my being here for nearly an hour and half. I asked if they could comp my next oil change and they said No. When you're here just make sure the technician knows the amount of oil your vehicle needs. They have access to this information and this shouldn't have ever happened.

Afterwards I agreed to pay them $2100 to have my entire exhaust pipe replaced, including both exhaust manifolds. I arrive to pickup my truck about 4 days later, I pay them and go home to check over their work. It looks like they replaced the manifolds, but they used the old hardware for the manifolds. Then you can clearly see the manifolds attaching to my old red, brown and rusty exhaust pipe. Then at the very end of my exhaust pipe (That was supposed to be replaced) they asked a 2 year old to weld this skinny exhaust tube to my old exhaust pipe. Im an honest and nice guy. Common, I seriously cant trust anyone now days. Very sad. Now watch them type some silly response to this. "Oh my goodness sir, were so sorry this miscommunication happened, please call our office at 706-327-2114" I am such an idiot. Please read over reviews before you go with a company. I was told if I came in at that time it was about a 90 minute wait; so I scheduled an appointment for the following day (today) at noon. I am recovering from a major surgery and sitting for several hours to wait would be painful and exhausting. I arrived early (11:45) in case any paperwork needed to be done. At 2:45pm a staff member approached me, I thought my car was done, I was wrong. He was giving me an update that there was still one car in front of me. I have been here for 3 1/2 hours as I write this and my car still hasn't been started. They said nothing about being behind when I checked in at 11:45, or I would have rescheduled as I had other appointments this afternoon which I am now missing. I would have left but I was under the impression they were working on my car while I sat here. Incredibly unprofessional with no basic respect or courtesy for their customers. This was my first and LAST time using a pep boys. Edited to add, changing from 1 to 5 stars for their honestly after evaluating, they confirmed that my brakes are not critical as my dealership told me, still perfectly safe to drive. They could have lied to make more money by replacing them but that still would have had to be done another day.
