These guys do great work. They are quick and efficient, they have great loaner cars, and Steff is especially great to work with!

I live on Queen Anne and it does not get more convenient to have a quality car repair shop right here. Recently I took our Acura up there to look at the brakes ... which were sounding awful. Ends up a stone got in the wrong place. $46 to get it done. I was prepared for much worse. Fantastic value. Some negative reviews say staff is surely. That hasn't been my experience... at all ... for our Jeep or Acura.

I told them "that's not going to happen. the car is not even worth that much..." Co-workers suggested Hobbs for a second opinion and after running tests found out 'alternator' was 'good' but needed to replace starter, battery, and some springy belt thang (I don't know crap about cars ) - what I do know they saved my butt nearly $3,000 ! Plus, I felt good at least giving my money to a mom and pop biz!!! Seriously, real people and easy to deal with, never felt like I was be sold or upsold on anything. Dave (mechanic) just told me flat blank these were the problems with the vehicle and recommend what needing fixing now versus what I will likely need fixing in the future.

The communication here is fantastic- Lori kept us updated about our repairs every step of the way,…read morewhich is more than a lot of shops in the area are willing to do. She explained the services we needed in detail and was very on top of making sure that we knew what to expect! They did not over-charge or try to sell us any services that we didn't need. There were a few hiccups along the way, but it's clear that this location is VERY busy and they are training several new employees. Even so, they were able to squeeze our car in for a diagnostic and repair when their garage was definitely full. Aforementioned hiccups did cause the repair to take twice as long as we thought, but I would definitely bring my mustang back here again because it's clear that they're just going through some growing pains with new staff and know what they're talking about for the most part. The pricing was reasonable, and they even recommended me a trustworthy shop to go to for a repair that they weren't able to complete. Overall, I genuinely think that Downtown Automotive cares about their customers and are working their behinds off to get all of their clients taken care of!

RE: No Charge If…read moreyou're looking for a reliable car repair shop, this isn't the place for you. We had our car in for an oil change before 9 am, expecting it to be done by 3 pm the next day. However, it wasn't done until 2 pm the following day. While they didn't charge us for the oil change, which was a nice gesture, we needed our car back on time. Additionally, this shop is difficult to find, and traffic is a constant issue. Considering these factors, we won't be returning to this place.

It was a very efficient process and the women at the front desk who helped begin the process was very helpful and friendly. After the work was complete, I had an issue with the way the transaction showed up on my company card and I had to contact them a few times to get it resolved. They were communicative, patient and helpful. My partner realized that I was missing a small car part after I got my car back. I contacted them about it and they were very professional about showing me the picture of my car from before they began the work, in which it proved that my car part was already missing. Then, they offered to order the car part for me. A few weeks later I went in to get it installed. I went to pay for it and they waved the fee for the part! I highly recommend having Werner's work on your car.

They're honest, kind, and fair with pricing, and they always take the time to explain what's going on. One thing I really appreciate is how strong they are as advocates when dealing with insurance adjusters -- they handle the back-and-forth, push for what's right, and make the whole process so much less stressful. These are genuinely good people with a terrific work ethic.
