They told us that they would arrange for the repair through Milguard's warranty. This was mid-March. Mid-May and we still hadn't heard anything. So we started calling. We were told a few different things each time we called. A manager would call us back- they never did. It was up to Milguard and they had no control- turned out not to be true. I even asked them at that time, if I needed to call Milguard if they could just point me in the right direction, again no returned call. Finally last week (late June) my husband went in person. That day I got an email from Milguard stating the ticket had been created. 3 months and multiple phone calls and they had never even put in the ticket. Once the ticket was put in the screen was ordered and shipped within 2 days through Milguard. If anyone had ever bothered to call us back, we probably could have figured this out the first time we called. And mistakes happen, we would have understood. But being told things that were not true and having no follow up was not acceptable. 5 stars for product and installation. 0 stars for follow up with customer service. Cannot recommend. We had 8 more windows and a slider to replace, needless to say we will look elsewhere.

The original shower door was approximately 20 years old and definitely showing wear. Additionally, it was one of the old framed metal doors that also had 2 panels connected, one of which was at an acute 45 degree angle, making it more difficult to replace. I spoke on the phone with Julia and also Elizabeth who were very helpful and suggested that a full replacement was easy to accomplish. Glass Accents quickly gave me an preliminary estimate, sent Ben out to measure, and provided several options for the hardware. Ben brought out several finishes to show me to try and match other finishes in my bathroom. When none of these finishes satisfied my preferences, Ben quickly suggested that they could obtain additional finishes with some detective work. A few days later, Ben dropped by and showed me the two additional finishes, of which one was really close to my existing fixtures. Therefore, the order was placed. In a period of less than 2 weeks, I received a call from Elizabeth telling me that they had received the glass and had a cancellation in their schedule, offering to come out to begin the installation that afternoon. Within a few hours, Sean and Ben arrived and began the removal and installation of my new shower door. This spilled over into the next day, but that was not an issue since I have a shower in a second bathroom. The following day, the tag team of Sean and Ben completed the installation. I was astonished at how well the new shower door and panel looked compared to the existing one. It was literally night and day! Ben had to make one additional trip out for a minor adjustment to the door to have it close completely without the narrow gap that was present. This did the trick! Overall, I am rating Glass Accents a "10" for customer service, professionalism, advice and flexibility during the selection process, and attentiveness to satisfy my desire for a new shower door. I can't comment on the competitive bid, as I was so impressed with their initial response, that I didn't even bother to obtain a second bid. Nelson Tile - Review of Kitchen Countertop Installation…read more We worked directly with Chris Nelson, owner of Nelson Tile, for the installation of new quartz kitchen countertops. Our experience raised serious concerns about both workmanship and professionalism. Installation Issues From the start, Chris incorrectly measured the backsplash, resulting in a two-piece installation rather than a single seamless slab. He claimed the transition would be unnoticeable -- the photos tell a different story. One piece is already pulling away from the wall. Other reviews describe Chris as skilled with laser measuring, but that was not our experience. The visual difference between a single slab and a seamed installation is significant, and Chris offered neither a solution nor any cost reduction for this error. Material Quality Chris purchased the material from a distributor he admitted does little business with. Within just three months, we noticed significant chipping on both the edges and countertop surfaces. Chris sent his brother-in-law to repair the chips with filler. He acknowledged this was unusual and said he had seen it once before with another client, categorizing it as faulty material -- yet when we raised our concerns, he simply accused us of being hard on the countertops. For context, we replaced 15-year-old laminate countertops that had zero marks or chips. Over the following 18 months, we continued to experience additional chipping, hundreds of scratches, and pitting across the entire countertop surface. We eventually switched to plastic plates out of concern that any ceramic or glass contact would cause further damage (see photos). Attempted Resolution I had Chris return to the house. It was clear he was reluctant to acknowledge faulty material, but after some pressure he agreed to have the distributor conduct an on-site inspection. The distributor was professional, photographed the damage, and reviewed it with his team. The following week, I received an email from Chris stating that the distributor had agreed to provide a replacement slab at no material cost -- but Chris quoted $6,500 for installation, excluded sink removal and reinstallation, disclaimed responsibility for any damage to finishes, appliances, or cabinets, and required that we agree not to post any negative public statements or reviews about Nelson Tile. Summary Based on our experience and the lack of professional accountability, we strongly recommend considering alternative companies. When you invest thousands of dollars in a kitchen remodel, you should expect quality materials and skilled installation. Unfortunately, neither was delivered in our experience with Chris Nelson. We will have the replacement material completed by a different installer.

They could give a hoot less about quality, craftsmanship, nor client relationships. So many things went wrong on our project - it would take pages and pages to list but some of the most important problems include: - failing to follow the plan laid out clearly in the paperwork to the extent that they had fish our remnants out of the trash to finish the job (this was admitted to us by their manufacturing tech) - damaging our countertops prior to installation which was confirmed by the company that make the slab and refusing any form of compensation for their error - charging us for something their sales person told us they could do but ultimately could not - blaming us or our contractor for a lost palette of tile that ultimately when I applied pressure they found in their own warehouse I could go on and on and on. When approached about the problems the owners were defensive and rude. I will never use this company again and our neighbors who used their contracting service had a similar experience. I agree with Victor M. Buyer beware....this company could care less about quality or customer satsifaction.

3/25/2022 We need to update our review sadly. Having had…read moreShutters in past homes. These just aren't the best Shutters. Todd is absolutely the nicest man. But the Shutters on the bottom aren't in a track. So when we open them their flopping out there on the bottom, where our past Shutters we could open partially, or all the way. That's a lot of stress on the weight of the shutter! Todd was supposed to come back and take care of the bottom half of a set behind our TV that didn't close correctly, he never called or came back. There are reasons we imagine. Which will remain between us. This was a large Shutter job. But they just aren't the quality of Shutters we've had in the past. They do not open and shut easily despite Todd trying to adjust them. He did say he was trying a new supplier. We've also had the ability to use an opener on the outside. With these being cream in color that would have been our preference. The wood piece in the back is stopping the Shutters from closing completely and when trying to open the Shutters stops them from folding open all the way as well. This is our assessment. Hopefully Todd went back to his OLD SUPPLIER! Like they say ~ if it ain't broke don't fix it. We wish him the best of luck. We wish they had turned out better and hold no hard feelings.
