My experience at Classic Window Coverings was above and beyond excellent!! Asking for the repair of a broken shade, Heather was not only super friendly and customer service oriented, she sent me a YouTube video to show how to take the shade down myself, so I wouldn't have to pay for them to come out to take it down. When I brought the shade to the showroom, I was greeted and listened to and got my questions answered very professionally. Expecting to have to leave the shade for repair, I was pleasantly surprised that the repair was done right there and then and when asking what I owed, I was told that I didn't have to pay anything. A few months ago, I had Hunter Douglas blinds installed in my new home by Dakota and Tanner. They were extremely professional and did an outstanding job. I recently had a minor malfunction with one of my blinds. I called Classic Window Coverings and Dakota was sent out to home to evaluate the malfunction. It does not get better than this for array of products sold, product knowledge by owners and staff, top notch installation and great customer service on the rare occasion a problem occurs. As just happened a couple of weeks ago, which made me remember a review was overdue for Classic Coverings. We've used Classic Coverings to provide window coverings for two homes in Bend over the years we've lived here. We selected duettes and silhouettes and Conrad shades in both manual and battery operated models and we've been extremely pleased with Classic's work from order through install and follow up afterwards. A couple of years ago we had them install an outdoor, electric switch operated sun shade on the west facing side of our patio. It was a touch tricky for installation location and they did an absolutely superb job. In all the years in all the homes we've lived in through a variety of cities across the US, we rank Classic Coverings as number one for window coverings. How lucky for us they are in Bend. And that they have staff that is design savvy to help narrow down the vast array of options to what works best for your home ... and budget...is a great thing. This is one of those small businesses that is continuing to do well enough in this tough economy and even though the building boom in Bend has gone completely bust. During the course of a two-and-a-half-year remodel of our home, we've dealt with more than a few subcontractors and vendors. A few really stood out as being exceptional in every aspect of the experience. Classic Window Coverings is one of them. Their showroom is terrific. The quality and variety of their window coverings is first rate. But, more than anything, it is the quality of the people that made all the difference. They care about their customers and care about doing a great job. Carrie came out to our home and spent as much time as we needed going over options and alternatives. Her advice was very helpful and her long experience meant that she was able to offer product configurations that didn't actually exist in any catalog. Her measurements were spot on. Every window covering in our house fits like a glove. And during the two months we spent going over different options that would work for both our design and with our budget she never once seemed less than excited to be working with us. We were a little nervous about the installation. We're pickier than most. We need not have been. Matt and Kevin were trained by/at Hunter-Douglas for each of the products. They knew exactly what they needed to do and took the time to explain what they were doing and why. One of the shades required drilling through thick porcelain tile. They took their time and did it right. No shortcuts. I didn't talk to Jeff and Karen until after the shades were all delivered and installed. I called to thank them for being to so great to work with. Over the course of our conversation I mentioned a couple of small details (e.g., the wrong color of a small screw on one of the coverings) and Jeff insisted that everything be perfect--our definition of perfect, not someone else's. He made sure everything, no matter how small, was just the way we wanted it. We couldn't be happier with the experience and with our window coverings. It has really surprised us how much our coverings have affected the look and feel of our rooms. We came into this process thinking of coverings as just another detail that contributes to the overall look. We were wrong. The right window coverings can be transformative. We were so thrilled with the service and product that we received from Classic Windows. We purchased an alumawood pergola. The process was so easy; a designer came to the house and discussed ideas with us and made suggestions. He then drew up a proposal with a diagramed plan. Once we decided to proceed, the pergola was fully installed within three weeks. The installers were effecient, nice and cleaned up after themselves. We couldn't be more pleased with the pergola; it really adds another dimension to our backyard. It is easy to maintain and has a painted wood look to it. I highly recommend Classic Windows. read more
