He chose to proceed. I also explained that I was planning to sell one of the vehicles and wanted it evaluated, but he refused, stating it would be "somebody else's problem." Despite proceeding, he refused to get out of his car and did not inspect either of the two vehicles at all (no hood opened, no physical checks). Instead, he relied on the codes I had already pulled and repeated that information back to me, then claimed I needed a transmission without verifying anything. He also stated that he "doesn't need to get out of his car to do a diagnostic." Afterward, he asked if I appreciated his help enough to send an additional $50.
