I received my quotes by going to the office (I refused call for quotes, because I want to meet the staff). As my standard procedure - get 3 quotes and compare them. It didn't take me long to decide, I called them next day. After several arrangements with installers and my schedule, it was done before the week was out. So, I got my windshield replaced in April. People asked why I waited to write this review. Because I wanted to take the advantage of their 90-day workmanship guarantee, I am writing a review based on my completed experience. Even till this day, I'm still satisfied. Here are some tips with windshield replacement: - Watch the forecast, if you can wait. Hoping the rain doesn't drop until the 3rd day, so you can test for leaks. - If you are sensitive to chemical smells, best to park your car in a garage with windows down for a couple of days. The odor didn't bother me much. After a couple of hours, I kind of got used to it. - Get a thorough car wash after a week to really see how well the seal performs. A shout out to Sam, Shawn and Elizabeth. An awesome team to work with during an unfortunate time of your precious car in a body shop. During Thanksgiving, we had a misfortune of meeting with a road debris which caused heavy damage to the front end and underbody of my Tesla. Collision Plus is one of the very few Tesla certified body shops in Houston area. This is my first time filing an insurance claim and Sam helped me through the process. Collision plus team did great work in keeping in touch with my insurance company and myself. I can be very annoying during such times, but Sam, Shawn and Elizabeth answered every phone call and email and kept me updated. 1 month later, 99% of my car is back looking much better than before the accident. The remaining 1% is the front license plate bracket, for which I have to go back next week when it gets delivered from Tesla. Also, I should mention that it took 2 weeks for my insurance company to approve the estimate. It took 1 week for Tesla to deliver most of the parts and 1 week for Collision Plus to finish the repair. Sam and his team did a phenomenal job on my Tesla Model 3. I had a minor dent in the driver side rear quarter panel. I brought my car in for a quote on Tuesday. Sam was very nice and explained the whole process of how they perform dent removal, and he was nice enough to help me out with the pricing. He said it would be done in two days and I was able to pick the car back up on Thursday. The work they did was flawless and the paint matching was expertly done. Long story short my car was a recent victim of a hit and run. I came in with a check and estimate done by my insurance provider. They allotted a decent amount of money but strongly urged me to bring my car into one of their approved shops. I declined. After talking to Sam at Collision, he assured me he'd work with them on raising their estimate since their quote on parts was low. To be honest, I didn't believe him since I've been to auto shops that didn't bother and just worked within the given amount. Often cutting corners to do so. So I was surprised to receive a call later from my insurance agent informing me they increased the repair funds by an additional $750 after a visit to Collision. Fast forward a week later, I got my car back looking phenomenal! The new paint flawlessly matched the original. The horrible dents and scratches are now a distant memory. Plus the wash and detail made my car look showroom new. Overall I am extremely pleased with the quality of work and CP's willingness to harass insurance companies for more money (better them than me!). My only complaint is the lack of communication on the pick up date. I had to call on the estimated completion day to find out if my car was available. They informed me it would be ready in two days and my rental car provider was already aware of this. No problem, but I wished they had been more proactive in contacting me. The same thing happened on the actual pick up day. But I got my car back, so all is forgiven. read more

Not even a year later I am seeing major flaws in the body work performed on my vehicle. There are now uneven spaces where work was done that are aligned correctly on the symmetrical side of my car. The side of my bumper( which was to be replaced ???) is sticking out and no longer flush with the car. It appears like whatever was holding this piece to the wheel well has broken or come undone. I would drive a damaged car long term before coming here for body work again! It's unfortunate I can't trust them with my car to get these issues rectified. I would rather drive a damaged car before returning here to just get the run around again- or worry about being sued in retaliation for a honest negative review. 5-star quality and professional work, but expensive. My Tesla got mild rear ended, no dent, only paint scratch on bump cover and bottom cover rubber. Brought it to this place to fix it. During the visit my car's 12v battery was dead, and the shop owner used his own battery to maintain the car and finish the work (and a Tesla 12V battery is not something every body shop has in stock, so definitely a plus). He originally tried to charge $300 for the battery and labor, but I was able to schedule a mobile service from the Tesla, and because the car was still under warranty, the replacement was free from Tesla. Eventually, they billed $2155 for the repair, but since it was paid by the other party's insurance, I got nothing to complain about, although the insurance company did call me and complain about their rate. And there were other reviews mentioning their overcharging. The owner explained to me that they charged more than Tesla Service Center because Tesla SC has subsidized rate from the company (contrary to common thought that dealership charging more on labor and parts). So if you need to pay out of pocket, better quote around and get a more affordable price. They also wanted to charge me $43 for something not covered by the insurance, but after I said I was going to complain it on Yelp, they waived the fee. With no out of pocket expense from me, overall I'm satisfied. read more

Worked with the insurance company (called the adjuster on 3-way with me) to keep everything transparent. When my car was deemed a total loss he worked with me to get an aggressive affordable self pay quote. Everyone was so pleasant, they knew me by name, and was always willing to help answer my 1 million questions. I took my Cadillac to Collision Plus on Bellaire on advice from several other collision centers. I was told they were very good with blacking out chrome trim and even do it for some of the dealerships. I am happy to say they did not disappoint. Sam is a great guy and a straight shooter. We were visiting houston from las vegas in July when my 2020 model Y was rear ended and suffered extensive damaged. We found Collision Plus at Bellaire as a tesla approved facility and sent it in for repairs. It took 3 months for my car to be finally ready. I guess the complications with parts shortage, dealing with insurance company and the availability of tesla mechanics manpower delayed the repairs. As soon as i was told my car was ready, I just want to drive it back to vegas. It was during the trip back that I started to notice the quality and workmanship of the repairs. I am very happy with everything at Collision Plus. Someone broke a window on my jeep and they got me in the same day. The owner himself answered the phone and worked with me on the price, he gave me a significantly lower price than my insurance quoted. The rest of the staff was really friendly; you could tell it was a good family business. The owner joined my husband and me in the waiting room for about a half hour just to talking gave us all sorts of recommendations because we are new to Houston. It took about and hour and a half to fix which was a little longer than we were told but they kept us entertained and gave us water bottles without having to ask. They let us connect to their wifi and had a TV in the main area. Overall I would definitely recommend Collision Plus to anyone, they're really nice and have excellent service! Okay, so I'm sort of O.C.D. about wanting to make sure someone's not "getting one over on me," so when I had to repair my Mazda 2, I obtained 3 different estimates for the repair work. Although Collision Plus was competitive with the two other places I'd visited, it was the most expensive estimate I'd received. However, Sam's estimate was also the most thorough, and he actually sat down with me and explained how he would make the repairs, showed me computerized models, etc. When I told him I wanted to give him the business but that I was hesitant because another place had underbid him, Sam MET the competitor's price. I turned the car over to him and got it back a week later. It is in PRISTINE condition, and I'm 100% thrilled with his work and professionalism. Oh, and I had left a personal item in the car and Sam made sure to remove it, put it into the office for safekeeping and return it to me when I got my car. Disclaimer - I did not actually end up utilizing this repair service, and my review is based only off my experience coming in and getting an estimate. Brought my 99 Taurus here for an estimate after a run-in with a telephone pole (it hit me, I swear!) The dent left a gap between my driver's side door and window, which was really my only concern. Firstly, the man I spoke to was friendly, but gave me the creeps by comparing my car to a "woman's curves". sketchy. Then came my price quote - $1,500. Umm, I don't think so. I told him straight away that I did not have collision insurance, and I was not looking to get my car looking like new - it's a 99 Taurus, and I'm a grad student, you do the math. To be fair, the man broke down the price and explained why he was charging what he was charging. And there were quite a few higher end cars in the shop, so I suppose he was use to charging sums designed to make a car look like new. However, that was not what I was looking for and I believe I made that clear from the beginning. As for my car, I took it to a place in Alief and the mechanic popped out the dent for free, in 2 seconds, using a suction cup. Did it look perfect? No, but the gap between my door & window was gone, which was really all I cared about in the first place :-) read more

I visited Collision Plus and another nearby body shop for estimates for a severe rear bumper collision on my 2011 Nissan Altima. At both places I was given the bad news that they would have to remove the bumper to see if there was additional frame damage. I felt as if both places would have done a proper job (the other place is on Harwin and Fondren) but decided to go with Collision Plus because Sam Patel went above and beyond in his approach to how the business of fixing my car and handling insurance and payment would be done. I took the car in and though there were some issues along the way, Sam handled them promptly and with great attention. When I say he went above and beyond, I'm understating that he did more and offered more than was expected. There was in fact, additional damage but it wasn't a surprise because the rear end collision happened on 59-N. By the end of the ordeal I was glad to have my car back, and it looked almost as I remember it when I drove away from the dealership with it. Sam even came into the office on his day off to make sure I got my car back on the weekend! You can't ask for much more than that, thanks Sam. This review is divided into three sections: Service: The overall service was excellent. I was kept informed every step of the way. Always got to talk to the Boss. The discussion had leading-up to me leaving my vehicle for service was direct - no nonsense, which is the way I like business dealings. The Staff was able to drop me off to pickup my rental from the rental car company, who does that anymore. Very professional. The car was ready when stated. Also, this company was willing to work with insurance issues when they arose. Quality of Work: I was pleased with the work completed. The car was washed as well which looked nice. The only gripe/issue I had was that the plastic where driver puts his feet into the car was left dirty - like someone who might have gotten in the car when they were washing the car? I cleaned this with a rag so there was no big issue but needs to be noted. I am confident that if I had voiced my displeasure to the staff they would have cleaned it but it was quicker for me to do it myself. Again, the quality of work performed on this visit was good and yes I would go back to this company if I needed additional body work on my car. Price: The cost of getting this work done was average compared to other companies - yes, I did some comparative shopping before taking it here. On March 27, 2015, my Model S was delivered to Collision Plus, the only certified Tesla repair shop in Houston, Texas, for significant repair and body work. Today, June 25, 2015, 90 days later, the car is still nowhere close to being repaired. Collision Plus blames the delays on part availability. During this period I have had to pay for my own rental car and make more than $4,300 in car payments for a vehicle I cannot use. I have two significant concerns: 1. If Tesla parts are this difficult to obtain, it is highly deceptive and misleading to omit this disclosure from Tesla's promotional and advertising materials. 2. If Tesla parts are not this difficult to obtain, then Tesla's only certified repair shop in Houston is completely incompetent and/or making false representations. read more

This is by far the most reasonable in turns of cost and also the most reliable bodyshop in Houston. I got three estimates at all the the body shops recommended by Tesla and their estimate was the best (I needed 2 Tesla doors replaced). They have the most experience with Tesla's and are also have the quickest turnaround time (mine was slightly delayed and that was due to Tesla needing to resend doors to meet collission plus's high quality standard).
