I was tempted to give a 4 star rating, but the few minor things that bugged me about my experience at Sunrise either ultimately did not matter, or were out of their control.
I had a minor-ish accident, only involving my front bumper. Unfortunately the bar under the bumper needed to be replaced too. I drive a 2010 Suzuki so getting parts are not the easiest to find, but they were able to get parts (although it took two tries, but not their fault...Suzukis don't even exist in North America anymore! so I was expecting delays).
When I first went in for a quote they were very honest and gave me both my out of pocket/minimal repair and State Farm insurance/total repair options. They even put my hanging off bumper back on as well as they could so I could drive around with less worry and humiliation while the parts came in.
The whole process took about 5 weeks (from first to final visit) but my car was only in the shop twice, about 1.5 days each time.
After my first visit I was very concerned as they had scratched the side panel (which was previously undamaged) and I was pissed. They did know this had happened as a result of the repairs and were planning to fix it, but they didn't say anything so I thought they hadn't noticed or were hoping I wouldn't notice. After an angry phone call I did realize they knew and were planning on fixing it when the rest of the parts came in, so it was all good.
End result: Although it took a while (not Sunrise's fault really), my car looks as close to back to normal as it ever will. The paint on the bumper matches really really close, and it's only when the car is clean that you can see a difference (as the newer paint is shinier). Dealing with everyone was fast and efficient, maybe a little too much so. I feel like a little more communication could have eliminated some worry (like preemptively telling me they'd damaged my car but were going to fix it!). The work is guaranteed through State Farm, so that is also a nice plus. And it's a family operation and they'll even give you a ride home/pick you up which is a huge plus in a single car household! read more
