We asked for a quote from My WIndow Solutions, got one that was quite good. We had explained the rationale for getting a replacement window (the leak). Parry sent over his crew right away to caulk around the existing one so we wouldn't get any incursion while waiting for the new one to arrive and get installed. Nice! For this job, I had also asked to have a custom window casing and deep windowsill built. We agreed that I'd buy the materials (a particular trim profile and hardwood species), prime them, and they'd do the cutting and installation. This collaboration worked perfectly.

No one EVER called to update us, and when WE called, we were always told nobody knew anything and that our salesman would call, He never did. Nor did anyone EVER apologize for the delay, which held up our renovation. When the door finally arrived, they realized (only because we'd thought to ask about it) that they'd neglected to order the hardware. But when they DID order it, they only ordered half of what was supposed to come with it: a "speakeasy" peephole, a lock, and decorative clavos. More of the speakeasy kit is being delivered today. On the plus side, someone just called to sort some this out, and we are feeling more satisfied now. She was very nice! The installers were very professional, careful, and took their time with the installation. I find it unfortunate, however, that it took this negative review to illicit someone at Quality Door and Window's attention.
