We did a complete gut job remodel of our condo and used Kinetic Stone , also know as L.I. Modern Marble , for all our stone needs. Lou the owner, along with his son Charlie and wife Linda are truly the definition of the word "professional's". Everything went smooth from start to finish. We met Lou at his showroom/factory and went over our vision with him which he completely understood.We then went to a local stone yard and picked out our slabs of stone for our kitchen counters and island, bathroom vanities ,bathtub surround, and fireplace surround. We also had a small cabinet built in the laundry room and had a piece of our remnant stone installed on it. Lou also made my wife a couple cutting boards! I have been to many homes after remodels and don't believe I have ever seen craftsmanship to the caliber of what was installed in my house. Lou and his team are true artists and his work is beyond reproach. The install was seamless and the price was fair for the product we chose and ultimately received. We came by talked to them and got rough quote on fixing a marble table top. We purchased the table bring it over and the owner Lou comes out arrogant and argumentative. Now the quote is twice as much. We push back and he goes on about just pay for the new one snd call it a day. This is liability for me. They start to take it out cause we agree to the number and he goes on about forget it unhook it and leave it on the truck. I don't want this unhappy. He was Unbelievably unprofessional. Lou and his team did a gorgeous job installing the granite in our kitchen and master bath remodel. And even more importantly, Lou has a great eye and experience for what will work well in granite, tile, etc. There were several little choices and touches he added, like the right type of corner edges and making the island just a touch thicker, to emphasize it. Absolutely love the way our granite counters turned out. Lou, the owner of L.I. Modern Marble & Kinetic Stone, met us at the yard and helped us pick out the right granite for our kitchen. We needed two extra large slabs and wanted a beveled edge. Installation took a day and was done well. His son and his workers did an amazing job at aligning the joints, (not to mention carrying the awesome weight of these slabs). The granite has a special coating so we don't need to seal every year. They checked and double-checked their measurements, were extremely courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. Pricing was great. They came highly recommended and I can see why.
