I wholeheartedly recommend Valley Counter Fitter (VCF) based on their excellent customer service and the finished product. Here's how my experience has been with them. We've been renovating our bathrooms and have been looking for something that's unfortunately quite out of style and thus hard to find: integrated countertops. Integrated countertops are awesome for cleaning because the sinks are seamlessly embedded in the countertop. There are no rims for the muck nor the soap to get stuck against. They are very hard to shop for, for two reasons: few places still offer them, and while a lot of design options are available across several brands (namely Corian, Wilson-Art and Hi-Macs), only a few samples at a time are usually available. Regarding the vendor options near Los Angeles, it pretty much boils down to Home Depot, VCF, and a third place that never returned my calls. After investigating Home Depot, it became apparent that they are using a third party named Block Tops, which is getting so-so reviews. I called Block Tops several times, only managed to speak with their sales rep once, and could never get anyone to return my calls, so that was the end of that. In complete contrast, VCF was easy to reach and Daniel, their office manager, returned my calls every time. Regarding the options, VCF has a lot of samples to help you visualize your countertop; many more than I've seen at Home Depot. They also have a lot more sink options, which is really important for integrated countertops. It is really worth driving to their workshop for that, and to visualize all the way they can finish the edge of the countertop. Moreover, Daniel has deep subject matter expertise and is able to help based on your requirements. He's very patient and willing to answer all your questions, down to how they put together the countertop. He can give you a quote on the spot, and advise on how to keep your cost down. Note that VCF also offers the other, more popular materials, like granite, etc. Process-wise, it takes a few weeks for Daniel to come over and measure your cabinet. Then another three weeks for the installer to return and do the work. What I loved about Daniel was his commitment to customer satisfaction. Our first order was for a 72" vanity countertop with dual sinks, and one sink was slightly out of alignment. I notified Daniel, sent a few pics, and immediately (and without any need to argue) Daniel told me he would make it right. Note that this required coming over, removing the countertop, ordering an entire new slab, working it, etc. In the process, Daniel also allowed us to switch material for the countertop and also the sinks. The man is amazing. We've had our new countertops for a few months now. No problem to report. We love them, and we love how easy they are to maintain. In my opinion, they imitate natural stone so well, and there a so many options, it's a bit baffling to me that people bother with other options, but to each its own. What's sure is that I will be going straight to VCF next time I need countertops, which will probably be for my kitchen. read more

We had Ken and Daniel make us 3 custom tables for our Duffy electric boat. They recommended the best marine plywood with Teak laminate. They made them to my exact template measurements and machined them to accommodate stainless steel wine glass holders. I was going for a "retro-surf-tiki" look and he nailed it. They look better than I hoped for! Ken and Daniel are so friendly while delivering their high quality work on time. Unhappy with the dated pre-molded countertops from Home Depot and Lowe's, I found a remnant at this shop that complimented our new mid century linoleum. They went ahead and made the fixes and installed a gorgeous and affordable counter. 2 days later I needed more work done. Ken made the piece the next day and installed it the morning after that. We just finished remodeling the kitchen after 20 years. Valley Counter Fitters put in the Avonite counters then, but we wanted a new look and decided on Corian Sandalwood. I thought the process would take a few days, but the crew from Valley Counter Fitters came first thing in the morning and completed the demolition and the instillation, including mounting the undermount sinks in one day. Hiring Valley Counter Fitters was the only thing we did right in remodeling our kitchen and bathroom. It was literally the only part of the remodel that went off without a hitch. They were super-nice when I went to their office and asked lots of questions. They gave me a ton of samples to take home. Ken answered all of my emails promptly. They installed Corian kitchen counters and backsplash, installed our kitchen sink, and did our bathroom vanity countertop and sink. Everything was done beautifully. They even put in a little window ledge with matching material to the counters (for free!), which is nice for a little herb garden. I went to them because I had always admired a friend's counters, which she had done by VCF 11 years before. I didn't shop around, but their prices seemed very reasonable and were way lower than what our general contractor was going to charge to do the counters. I shudder to think of what that would have been like. Everyone I dealt with at VCF was friendly and professional. They gave me their honest opinion about material choices, which included letting me know that the higher-priced material was no better than the lower-priced stuff (I went with the higher-priced anyway because of color choice). After an initial positive experience with them, my opinion changed. They did a bathroom vanity countertop for me about 4 years ago and I am still angry about the service I received. After the initial countertop was installed, I noticed that there was not enough of an overhang in the front. It should be about 1 inch. I called them and they informed me that the cabinet maker had given them the wrong depth. I found one of the plans the cabinet maker had given me and it indicated 22" not 21" as Counterfitters had told me. I gave them at least a month's notice when I would be available to have a new top installed. Yes, it was over a President's Day, but it was the only time I had available and I gave them ample time to plan accordingly. Initially, they said it would be no problem. About a week before that date, I was informed that they would not be doing the installation, but sending someone else. When that person arrived, it was obvious that he did not want to be there. He removed the old top in pretty much one piece and could have used it as a template for cutting the sink holes. He did not. Because of this, the sink placement was off and he had to recut the wood holes for the sinks (2) and as a result had to change the position of the pipes under the sink. He also bent the drain lever. He also made it impossible to put back the undersink shelves I had purchased. There was sawdust all over the interior of the cabinets and drawers. And, to top it all off, there was still not enough overhang in the front! When I went back to complain, in person, to their offices, they had the nerve to tell me that maybe I had done it myself. Would I use them again? Absolutely not! Take responsibility for your work, don't blame the customer. read more

That being said, if you are reading this please know we really were customers of this business and are extremely satisfied with our counter tops and their service. They installed coved wilsonart counters in our kitchen, perfectly cut out for and mounted our new cast iron sink, as well as removed our old counters and sink and hauled them away. If you are looking to get new counters we would highly recommend this business: professional, friendly, helpful, showed up on time, and even put up with our questions and interruptions while they were trying to work!
