Both Elias and Natalie provided excellent communication throughout the entire process. We loved that we were able to go in the showroom and touch and see all of the materials to get a better idea of what we wanted. The quality of the materials was a lot better than what we had seen at other places, and the price was also better. We were able to get features like a pull out spice rack and trash can, as well as pull out shelves, and they didn't cost us a ridiculous amount to include. The demo went extremely quickly and smoothly, as did the cabinet and countertop installation. With the exception of a short delay with the countertop installation, everything else happened as scheduled, and even with that short delay it was only a matter of a few days, and we had built a buffer in because we know that sometimes there are delays. From demo day to the countertop installation was a span of 2 and a half weeks, which is really fantastic when you get other bids for the same services that are quoting you 4-6 weeks. They did not have the hood cover that we wanted in the style we chose, so his cabinet makers hand made a custom one for us. Not quite sure what the one bad review is all about. We used Kitchen Emporium and Elias for our total kitchen makeover. The old cabinets and counttop were removed on the first day of work. The new cabinet installation and the granite counters were installed over a two day period. The workers were professional and consciousness. They cleaned up at the end of each day. The installation was correagraphed perfectly with our plumber and electrician to the point that the whole process went seamlessly. It has been a few years now since we had the work done and still do not regret our choice of contractor. We do plan on calling Elias and making arrangements for one of his crew to replace some soft close devices and adjust a couple cabinet doors. But that is to be expected as the cabinets are the most frequently used. read more

The KITCHEN EMPORIUM bathroom vanity is a very big disappointment. The vanity is very deficient in three ways First, Elias never explained to us the differences installing "Standard" rather than the more spacious "Frameless" drawers would create in our available useful space. Each of the "Standard" drawers in the KITCHEN EMPORIUM (KE) vanity is smaller than the original it replaced. The new vanity's cumulative smaller capacity "Standard" drawers have reduced our overall bathroom vanity drawer storage space by about 30%. Second. Elias suggested two top Right and Left 36" wide "tilt out" drawer features in front of each basin which robs even more space from the overall design. We did not realize the negative effect such a wide tilt out drawer would have. These two top 36" wide "tilt out" drawers - usually associated with Kitchen sinks, are used to store cleaning sponge's, wastes more of the overall vanity's front area. Installing taller frameless drawers would make better use of the available space. These two-top 36" tilt out drawers are a bad design decision, and they are very poorly executed. KE installed a cheap, ridiculously small plastic sponge cup (11" W X 4" H X 2" D) behind these two drop down doors. The cup is installed in the center of the drawer at the narrowest space between the front of the basin and the front of the vanity. The installed Cup is only 4 "high, in an available 7" space, and does not have any separation feature to use it to organize items in any way or to stand items up. Each installed "Cup" wastes 66% of the 36" wide top under counter drawer space on both sides of the vanity. On both sides of each "Cup" are right and left empty voids. Each of these four voids have wider - deeper - higher empty spaces where nothing was provided to store or organize bathroom items. The two (right and left) plastic cups installed are only about one third as wide as each of the two pull-down drawers, which wastes even more storage space. The two cheap tiny cups are misplaced in the center next to the widest part of the two blocking under basins of the sinks. Third, worse than that, I specifically expressed to Elias, during his onsite review, that I wanted to store our electrical grooming devices inside the new vanity top drawers rather than having them clutter the new vanity countertop with their associated wiring connections. The vanity is a personal grooming "workstation", and the top drawers were to be customized to accommodate holding these electrical devices (toothbrush - face hair trimmer - hair dryer - etc.). Our contractor dutifully left numbers of conveniently placed electrical outlets to accommodate connections to these devices in the wall at the rear of the vanity behind the new vanity drawers. Elias KE design did not consider making room to store /conveniently use the items described to him. The smaller "Standard" drawers leave little room to conveniently store/charge the electrical grooming devices we use every day. Finding any aftermarket drawer accessories that fit this requirement will be an impossible challenge. After all the on-site communication given KITCHEN EMPORIUM the product delivered is an excessively big disappointment. read more

I can't give a review for the cabinets or quality of work because I only got as far as a quote from them then things went downhill from there. Do not believe any of their advertisements. We went in and talked to an employee and we were told what was included in their advertised special, we then told them what we wanted. The only thing not included in the special was an upgrade to the countertop (but a countertop was included) and one microwave cabinet. Also our kitchen was three feet longer than the advertised special of 20 linear feet. The advertised special was priced $7,450.00. Two days later they gave us a quote for $10,800.00 without the countertop upgrade. With the upgrades it was $13,000.00. We called to ask why there was a difference in the advertised special price. They were charging us $2,000.00 for the counter top when it is included in the special. They were also charging an extra $1,350.00 for the microwave cabinet and the extra three linear feet. We called to discuss the quote and ask questions about the price difference and why the countertop was no longer included in the special. The employee seemed flustered and couldn't properly answer the questions so she handed the phone to a man named Elias. We were always very polite to the employee but when Elias got on he he could not have been more rude or belligerent. We were polite to him even though he shouted at us the price of the quote and pretty much said take it or leave it. We just wanted an explanation for the price difference and why the countertop was now not included but they literally could not offer one. We then asked him about their advertised special price and that we would be happy with that one for our kitchen and to forget about any upgrades to countertop or the microwave cabinet. He actually told us that their advertised special was not for us. Sounds crazy but he really said it. We said goodbye. Really, in a way I think we were lucky that this happened before we hired them. Even if they called back and offered us their advertised special we would not hire them because their behavior said all we need to know about them and their work ethic and morals. read more

I called him back to see if he could give me an estimate on my kitchen and he told me he told me to find someone else with a rude tone. He made it seem like he didn't want to work on my kitchen for some reason. Avoid this guy. read more

We used Elias for our two bathroom remodels in November and were extremely unhappy for many reasons: he lied, communication was horrible, installers were shady, etc. We went into the showroom to pick out cabinets for our bathroom vanities and then Elias came out to see our bathrooms, measure for the vanities and design them. After the visit, he sent us email renderings which were not an accurate rendition of our vanities (specifically counter tops were black instead of white & measurements were not true). I should have taken this as a sign but emailed him to ensure that these were not representative of our pieces, he never responded. I called him to discuss the issue. I went into the showroom to finalize our order and paid 50% deposit. I also confirmed with him our work schedule (which was a quick turn around but he agreed) and he wrote my name on his calendar for the day we decided on. My contractor called him to confirm the date/time and Elias told my contractor that he would not be able to deliver the product on that date. Elias had no intention of communicating with me the date change so I called him to ask about the cancellation. He finally committed to coming on the original date. On the delivery date, his installers arrived hours late with no communication about the delay or apologies. They put together the vanities on site and workmanship was poor, they left one unit without a back and the other unit had a full back. The installers left without telling us so we could not inspect their work. They also forgot to leave the pieces to connect the vanity to the wall and one of the pieces they did leave was in very poor condition. The granite guy was just as bad, he also arrived late and was unprofessional. After cutting the tops, he had the audacity to throw multiple granite pieces from other jobs (none of which were the color of our tops) into our dumpster. He left and we looked in the dumpster and called Elias immediately. You are charged for removal of dumpsters by weight so this was literally costing us money. Elias said someone would come out the next morning at 8 to remove the material, they did not arrive until 3:00 PM. Elias came out that morning to look at the work and was not helpful. The worst problem came us when we installed the smaller vanity. When our contractor went to install it, he realized that Elias built the cabinet in a way that it would not line up to our plumbing. The old vanity had 3/4 drawers and the plumbing went behind the drawers, the new vanity had full drawers so the plumbing could not fit. Elias was the one who came out, did the measurements, and designed the cabinet with me. There was NO WAY I could have known the difference in the drawers, he should have realized this as he is the expert on cabinets. Either the cabinet had to be rebuilt or we had to move our plumbing. When we called Elias, he did not take responsibility or offer solutions. We moved the plumbing and deducted the cost from the remainder of the bill. I wanted to provide details on our experience so other would know that I am not just an angry customer, that Elias caused significant issues and subpar product. His communication was unprofessional and he is not solution oriented. I would advise using another cabinet maker for your job if you dont want to have to go through a similar experience read more

Elias and his installers were GREAT! You cannot beat the price. We had to completely demolish our old kitchen. I tried 4 others companies for estimates, one was $8,000 more than Kitchen Emporium for less quality cabinets! The granite guys (a separate contractor) were unable to get the bull-nosed countertops for us from the local supplier, which I had really wanted, so they substituted with square edge (usually pricier) for no extra charge. It is more updated and I am actually VERY happy with it! I LOVE my new kitchen!! read more

So Elias, the owner of this establishment causes us to waste about an hour going through the different options, he is well aware at this time that the cabinets go to a condo about 4 blocks away. He sets up an appointment , my son leaves early from work to make the appointment on time. Elias shows up and says it's too far of a walk to his a condo. Really, it's about 100 feet with just two or three steps.. This guys is nuts and obviously has whimps for workers. How does someone run a business like that.
