My husband decided to shop locally and stopped into Factor HD . What a nice surprise with a warm welcome by Cynthia, and tons of knowledge and enthusiasm for our project. She let us take some tile samples home for a couple of days and gave us an estimate right away. We are very excited about our new flooring! The parking lot was a little busy at the time, but we did find it easy to park. read more

Gregory and his team at Factor HD did an amazing job remodeling my mother's 30 year old kitchen! As you can imagine, my mother was very hesitant undertaking such a massive project but Gregory was so patient with her and walked her through each step from picking out design elements, setting a realistic budget and timeline. Gregory managed the project to ensure everything was completed correctly with extreme detail. Gregory's team was very professional and clean, we were very pleased that the project was completed within the timeline promised. I would highly recommend Factor HD for any project you have in mind, it's not easy to find such a professional team that stands by their promises. If you are considering them for a project, look no further. I will definitely use them when I am ready to remodel the kitchen in my own home! Thank you Gregory and team! read more

I hired Vlad and Factor Surfaces to remodel two outdated bathrooms in my rental property. Admittedly, I am not the most skilled person when it comes to designing and decorating a home--it just isn't in my DNA. I mentioned this to Vlad and he was super helpful in assisting me with everything from the overall design of the bathrooms to the selection of various materials (tile, shower systems, etc.). I could tell that he spent a lot of time really considering what me and my wife wanted, our vision, and all while making sure that everything fell within our budget. I had a feeling that I was in good hands when I picked out a couple things that I liked and Vlad was honest enough to tell me that while the items would look good in a different style bathroom, they wouldn't really work well with the overall design that we went with. Thank god he did this, as his recommendations looked 100x better than what would have gone in there had I went through with my initial purchases. The end result was absolutely incredible. We were so impressed that we ended up having Vlad install new flooring throughout the house as well as a full kitchen remodel. For what I consider to be a reasonable price, our house is completely transformed. Looking at the before and after pictures still blows my mind. What also impressed me was their ability to finish everything within five weeks. His guys were there six days a week and they were crankin'! I don't normally refer people, as I am very careful about putting my reputation on the line, but I don't think that I have to worry about that with these guys. Thank you again! read more

I highly recommend factor surfaces to anyone doing a bathroom remodel. They were most helpful when I was selecting a tile to go with the rest of my master. Helped me to calculate how much tile I would need, even helped me to draw and design - all before I had even thought of hiring them. When the workers doing my job seemed incapable. I hired Vladimir, who designed the shower/tub redo. Coordinated all workers from tear down - hotmop to final cleanup. All workers showed on time stayed all day were clean courteous & respectful. I went from having tub that had leaked for years to a beautiful masterpiece of a bath. read more

We recently purchased and old ranch style home in Woodland Hills we completed gutted the whole interior and conducted a full remodel. When it came to the kitchen , bathrooms and finish work it was time to hire someone that knew exactly what needed to get done. We walked into Factor Surfaces since its really close to us and got to know Vladamir and his father. They were quick to assist by showing us samples and even drew up a design for us. The same day Vladimir came by and provided us with an estimate. My husband and I talked about it and knew we had found our guys no doubt we knew they would do a great job. Factor Surfaces certainly did not disappointed us they did exactly what they said they would and no unwanted surprises. Their team was very professional and cleaned up every single day. I learned a lot here. There is a difference in tiles. The color of some tiles goes all the way through the tile and some tiles only have the color on the surface. Tiles can chip over time so I purchased tile where the color goes all the way through and also that has a matte finish. If it should ever chip, it would be hardly noticeable. If the finish is gloss, even if the color should go all the way through, you'd see the difference in the finish since inside the tile would be matte. I just gave you an invaluable lesson. You're welcome. Oscar, who installed the tile was a master. His work is perfect. I could not have been any happier and I have recommended him to family and friends. I am very particular, so this is a high compliment coming from me. ;-) read more

I have an investment property and needed to redo part of the flooring after some damage. Instead of hardwood I looked into alternative flooring options to match the industrial look of the condominium. Factor Surfaces' selection is truly one of a kind. I know this because I must have gone to 10 different vendors before settling on a look. The owners spent a great deal of time offering their taste and experience to really suit the look of the property. I have rarely come across such helpful customer service and it made the unit look fantastic. If you are looking for unique and premium flooring solutions, Factor Surfaces is the best you can do. The company really exudes best practices and I couldn't be happier with the outcome or the experience. read more

My husband and I wanted to let Gregory and Rory know just how happy are with the level and quality of service we received from Factor Surfaces. This wasn't my first time working with Gregory, but the first time that I was able to use them for fabrication. On top of their prices being much more reasonable that other locations for Vadara quartz, the professionalism and recommendations from their fabricators was top notch. Elias came to look at our kitchen island, and gave us such wonderful suggestions on how to make it look better. Without him we would have had ugly bolts sticking out and now its perfect. He also made safety recommendations for our kids. We were just so pleased with how everything turned out. Thank you to everyone who helped us! We will be back for our next project for sure. read more

I am going to give them 5 Stars! They are conscientious and they did a fabulous job. We hired them to put wood floors on our entire downstairs. I had a 5-star review of Factor Surfaces up here for some time because the guy they sent out to my house (two houses on two separate occasion) to install this textured MDF wall was kick-ass. But after several attempts to deal with Factor Surfaces since them on other issues (shower tile and countertops), I realize that the only awesome thing about them is this very gifted, very specialized installer who only does textured MDF walls and doesn't even work for them. The actual staff of Factor Surfaces is less than helpful and FAR less than responsive, requiring constant followup and reminders. It's like impossible to get a price out of them. Then you call up and ask if they've got the price for you. Then they tell you they don't have the information, and you need yo re-supply it. Then repeat. This has happened multiple times. Doesn't matter whether it's Gregory, the dad, or his son. Similar inattentiveness to detail and lack of caring about customers' needs. Sad, really. The selection is amazing, but who has the time to chase these clowns. read more

During our house remodel, we needed a variety of tiles for our kitchen, bathrooms, fireplace, etc. My wife and I wanted something that is modern looking and we were very picky in choosing the tile. We went to Surfaces and Ravit helped us. The customer service that we received from her was phenomenal. She was extremely patient with us and was by our side throughout our purchase. It took us multiple hours over a few days to make up our mind and decide on what tile we wanted. Ravit helped us find the right tile that fit our taste and matched with the design of our house. She was extremely patient with us and was very willing to help. Also, I liked that she wasn't "pushy" and didn't make us feel pressured in buying whatever we laid our hands on. We are extremely happy with this tile place and recommend anyone looking to purchase tile to go there, and definitely recommend you to ask for Ravit! Thank you Surfaces! read more

I wish I could give more than five stars to Factor Surfaces. We had the misfortune of dealing with numerous other businesses while remodeling our laundry room and adjacent powder room. Thank heaven we found and used Factor Surfaces! Vladimir was the point person, from selecting surfaces to completing the job. We just finished remodeling our new home and I must tell you Factor Surfaces was the best tile find in the Valley! I had been everywhere for weeks trying to find all the tile we needed. When it comes to specialty tile and unique, different options not seen elsewhere...this is your store! They solved all my tile challenges and everything came out great. Additionally, the staff is delightful to work with. Efficient, great follow up, everything was exactly as promised. They even co-ordinated with my contractor on the pick up of our granite for the fabricator. Great customer service from Cynthia from first call to get information to last call when she checked in to see if we had what we needed to finish the job. Poor customer service from (who I assume was) the owner. This was my first remodel project so I had a lot of questions and indecision. Any time I asked a question or revisited the store he seemed annoyed. Prices also seemed exaggerated. Anything I compare shopped was MUCH cheaper online. If your new to remodeling and don't know what's what or when you might be getting taken advantage of - I would look elsewhere. read more

We just completed our bathroom remodel and had two un-opened boxes of subway tile. The store policy is no returns after 30 days from purchase. Our project, as with most home renovations, wasn't complete within 30 days of purchasing the tile so we're stuck with it. So they get a poor rating on return policy. Additionally, we needed to make an additional order of some finishing pieces (1/4 rounds and edge pieces). Getting the order placed and receiving the material took longer than expected. I opted not to pay an additional "expediting" fee, which may have caused my order to get less than prompt attention. More than once when I had a question or needed help they made me feel like it was an inconvenience for them. The store had a good selection of tiles, but we only ended up getting white subway shower tile there. I'd recommend looking elsewhere first, especially for more basic stuff. read more

I ordered 700$ worth of tile and needed to add to the order a few days later. They wanted to charge 20$ shipping. I understand they have to charge shipping for samples but I think they should have tried to work with me since I'm a paying customer who just placed an order . They would rather worry about 20$ then customer satisfaction. I was willing to pick it up but they would not even work with me. Then they refused to even put in the order because they said it's not worth it to them. Beware because once you pay them customer service goes out the window. They are only concerned about making a quick dollar instead of a long term investment. I would have referred a lot of business if they would have waived the shipping and I would have left a positive review which would have brought more businesses in the long run. Let this be a lesson to all business owners. read more

We bought $1,000 of kitchen flooring tiles from this store. The tiles were much more expensive than Chinese made because we liked the US made tiles looked. Big mistake. The tiles (12x24) were seriously bowed. These tiles are made by Datile in Texas and the model is CC10. Unfortunately the tiler installed the tiles before telling us how bad it was. The result is that the floor is very uneven and the thin grouts look terrible. We contacted the store many times, by text and in person. They gave us the runaround and faked not remembering our complaint. The last time we texted them they responded that they would talk to the owner of the store and get back to us. Of course it didn't happen either. The result is that after over a month, Factor Surfaces doesn't stand behind the product they sell. We will never shop at this store ever again. read more

I've owned several homes over the years and have done a few home improvement projects with varying degrees of satisfaction. Factor Surfaces is by far the best tile and related home improvement company I have ever dealt with. Everyone is very nice, patient and helpful. Their prices are very reasonable. Even better is the quality of the installers they use - everyone was outstanding, very high quality work, very nice and accommodating to work with. The bathroom remodel came in on budget and on time! We're extremely satisfied with the result. I highly encourage you to give them the opportunity to do your next home improvement project! read more
