He was always there to answer every question and someone from the team was always able to walk me through every process and give great design and construction advice. You can tell they take great pride in what they do and actually care about their clients. I like that they're a family-run business as well. This was my first attempt at investing in a rental income property and was very nervous about finding the right contractors to do the job well, for a fair price. I received several other quotes, but so glad I chose CB. David Moshe was my main contact there. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and straightforward about what needed to be done and where potential problems might be. From day one, everything went smoothly and efficiently. I was given a clear work timeline and payment schedule. Was informed about each step as they progressed. It was a tremendous amount of work to be completed in 3 months, which they did. David was patient and understanding with my many requests and questions, and immediately solved any issues that came up. Wish I knew all the names of the crew as well. They were all highly skilled, professional, and respectful of my property. I wouldn't hesitate to use Cavalier Builders for future projects and highly recommend them as well.

5 stars so far, and I hope to come back and update this review when our ADU is complete!…read more This review reflects our experience through the signing of our ADU contract. Construction has not started yet, so I cannot speak to the building process or the finished product. But everything we have experienced so far has been so positive that I felt Preferred Home Builders truly deserves five stars at this stage. After an extremely frustrating experience with a different contractor, I feel compelled to share what we learned for anyone embarking on the ADU journey: do not fall for charlatans, empty promises, lousy sketches, or requests for too much money upfront. Take your time, ask questions, and look for a professional who is willing to invest the time and expertise needed to understand your project before asking you to commit. That is exactly what we found in Nir at Preferred Home Builders. From our very first meeting, Nir has been professional, punctual, courteous, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient. Before we signed a contract, and before he even knew whether he would get our business, he invested more than 10 hours of in person meetings with us, in addition to extensive email communication. That level of commitment made a huge impression on us. Our ADU site presents some challenges because of the hilly terrain. Nir took the time to understand those challenges, assess them carefully, and come back to us with thoughtful options rather than making unrealistic promises or glossing over potential complications. Another thing that really impressed us was the level of detail that went into the budgeting process. We completed an extensive questionnaire covering everything from major decisions such as windows and doors to seemingly tiny details, such as how many sconces we wanted by the entrance and whether they should be on the left or right. The result was a remarkably detailed budget that leaves very little, if anything, to be figured out later. After our previous experience, the difference has been night and day. So, at this stage of the process, I cannot recommend Preferred Home Builders highly enough. Nir is clearly at the top of his game, and we are very happy to be working with him. I look forward to coming back to update this review once the ADU is completed, hopefully with another five stars and plenty of pictures to share!

(Note: The furniture bar cabinets and library were added later on and were not part of this contractor's project). From start to finish, the entire team was extremely professional, dedicated, and highly skilled. On the very first day we met, Nir helped design a 3D view of the project that perfectly captured exactly what we had envisioned. Throughout the build, we had a weekly walkthrough with Nir to check if we had any questions or concerns, which kept communication incredibly clear. Elba was also an excellent project coordinator who was always available to answer our questions and keep everything on track daily. The construction crew themselves were clearly very experienced and knowledgeable; they followed our approved plans meticulously and were happy to accommodate extra requests along the way. You can truly gauge the quality of their work by the fact that every single city inspector visit passed on the first try--nothing ever had to be rescheduled or redone because everything was built perfectly to plan. Additionally, all of the finishes--from the drywalling to the trim work and paint--were done with high-quality materials and top-tier craftsmanship. Overall, it was a great experience, and we highly recommend them!

We first hired Eden Builders for a remodel about 11 years ago (reviewed on Yelp). Oren was our…read moreproject lead then, and we made sure he was our lead this time around too. This remodel was bigger than the first job. It wasn't easy because there were many funny little issues in addition to the significant problems needing to be fixed. From the start, they made sure to go over every single detail and explain what each choice would mean. We weren't the easiest clients this time around because we changed our minds so many times, but it was never a problem. They were kind and patient throughout, and always had good workarounds for every issue, just like with the project 11 years ago. The job just concluded last week, and the work is top notch. I cannot express how much I hate doing this kind of project, but Oren and Eden Builders made this as tolerable as can be. Hopefully, it's not going to be anytime soon, but the next project will be with Eden Builders too. Thanks Oren and team for another amazing job.
